We picked the Renaissance for our 2 night stay in HK. The hotel is in a prime location, right at…read moreVictoria Harbor, connected to two train stations, Exhibition Center and Wan Chai, as well as easily walkable to the skywalk way and tram station. It's also 20 minutes taxi ride from Disneyland and 25 minutes from the airport.
The hotel itself is modern, luxurious and full of amenities. Upon arrival the bell service took our luggage and held them for about 7 hours free of charge, until our room was ready. Then they delivered it to the room as well. The check-in process was easy, they had a separate lane for Bonvoy Platinum and above members. Since our room wasn't ready, they gave a temporary card to access the lounge and other hotel amenities.
The hotel lounge is amazing, the best kind I have seen any Marriott hotel. It has two floors looking out to the harbor. They serve excellent breakfast, including a hot station for omelettes and eggs. They also had two other restaurants for full course meals, Dynasty being one of them.
We got an upgrade for our room to studio suite. It was a spacious room with the harbor view. All items in the room and bathroom were fully functional. There were TVs in both the living room and bedroom. The bathroom had both bathtub and glass door standing shower. They were considerate to put a universal converter in the room so we could plug in our US 120V electronics. There were also USB and USB-C ports in living room and bedroom.
Throughout the hotel, all the staff member were amazing. Every time we had interaction with them at the lobby, lounge and reception, they were friendly, with positive attitude trying the best to help us.
Among all the wonderful highlights, some of the minor annoyances were hotel's elevators were going thru renovation, so there was always little wait time to get on the elevator. In the room, the TV stand was little old. The glass door was leaking some water in the standing shower.
I was super happy with my time staying at Renaissance in HK because of its location, amenities, quality, service and ease of accessibility to tourist spots. For my future HK visits, I'll surely consider staying at Renaissance will again.
