So we popped in because we wanted something other than our standard dai pai dong up the street and/or sushi options and this place is very local and close for us. They have special that with every entree order of over a $100 you get a drink for $1. Shut the front door! My husband ordered a super cheesy grilled cheese sandwich from their grilled cheese options. I ordered a greek salad with some smoked salmon. We also noshed on some sweet potato fries. We then for a $1 each, my husband had a latte and I enjoyed a glass of red wine. The fries were hot and really good. The grilled cheese was of ample size and super cheesy. The Greek salad was a touch too simple (needed a few more olives I think to punch it up), but evenly coated with dressing and fresh. The desert case is also packed full of great looking cakes, bars and cookies and worthy of a repeat trip (prices in the case range from $68-88). They advertise a special of like $98 for a glass of Prosecco and a dessert! It appeared some couples were wandering in to enjoy this just as we were leaving. Around 7PM when we arrived on a Friday, the place was not busy at all (which I know is bad for business, but preferred by us!). It was nice to sit with the open air on the first floor and simply enjoy our time. They have upstairs seating as well and it is closed in, the downstairs part is more open to the outside elements when the weather is nice. I walk by this place almost every day and the busy feeling of brunch on the weekend or packed lunch crowd during the week is different than the quieter evening vibe. The staff was friendly, welcoming and absolutely accommodating. For $251 and a good quality meal, we will absolutely return sooner than later.

The portion was a bit small though. The Roasted PIRI PIRI Chick Wings arrived in a paper-lined bucket. It had sesame, bbq sriracha, and lime juice. There were exactly 3 whole wings (3 wings and 3 drumsticks) inside the bucket. The chicken wings were incredibly meaty and the piri piri sauce was not overwhelming. With these two dishes, we had two wellness drinks. The Beetroot Soy Latte was delicious. It arrived in the cutest tiny thermal glass cup that allowed you to see into it. This latte is said to be a good source of immune booster. It was warm and so comforting to drink. The latte art had a heart! The 100% naturally prepared Apple Vinegar drink had lemon, rosemary, and apple vinegar in it. It was a chilled refreshing drink that helped to open the appetite. Since the dishes weren't very big and I was feeling gluttonous (and we had 5 minutes before the tea time expired), we tripled up on our order and ordered a dessert also from the tea time menu, which meant we got another drink too. This time, I chose the Tumeric Soy Latte, advertised as a natural remedy for flu. This hot beverage arrived in the same cute thermal cup as the other latte. The latte art in this was a pretty flower. I didn't like this drink as much as the beetroot latte. The overwhelming turmeric was dense and a bit strong for my taste. For the dessert, I had taken a look at their outside dessert display case. I chose the Yuzu Cheese Bar -- so unique! It was made with Japanese Yuzu drop, mascarpone cheese, white chocolate, and airy sponge. It wasn't very cheese per se but the light sour yuzu taste was there. The cake was incredibly airy and soft for sure. I really liked this boutique cafe which served so many unique drink options. The Capricciosa pizza was not to my liking, even though the toppings seemed promising. Olives, artichokes, mushrooms, and ham is a good combination, but the crust was too soft. Additionally, given the potential moisture with all of the toppings, the pizza was pretty soggy. That was exacerbated by having too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese. For the most part, I didn't think there was much particular flavor with this one. Service, the front-of-house mess up notwithstanding, was actually good. The attentive server actually suggested the table adjacent to the one I was initially seated, because the view was nicer. That was a nice touch. The decor was fine, with a bit of an intimate setting that isn't dark like a cave. Prices here are fairly high, though I expected that from an Italian restaurant right by the water in HK.
