It was clean and had many exits/entrances. We had to look at all map to make sure we were at the correct exit! We used our Octopus Card - the Hong Kong debit card - to tap into the train area and to tap out of the train area. Remember to load your Octopus Card with a minimum of 50 HK Dollars. Definitely take the time to take notes because the U.S.A can definitely learn something from this amazing, convenient and efficient transportation system in Hong Kong! Prine Edward seems to be the transfer station for Kwun Tong Line but also the station to get off if you are interested in doing some market shopping! Flower Market, Bird Market, Meat Market and Ladies market is located on this line! Very convenient and a short walking distance from each other! Make sure to exit B. This area also has some great food joints located nearby. Its also walking distance from the Mong Kok station as well! My first time visiting Hong Kong and I was able to go everywhere I needed by using the MTR. Never did I have to use a Taxi because the trains come every 2-3 mins and it opens super early and closes super late! Trains here are very convenient and easy to navigate, please note that during rush hours it does get crowded and people are crazy! Whoo. They push, tug and shove you to make sure they can get into the train. The signs and maps are all in English as well as Cantonese so it's really easy to get around on your own. The MTR seems to go all over the Hong Kong Island. There does seem to be a lot of walking when changing line so be prepared to walk. They are NOT lying when they say that Hong Kong has a huge population! There are people everywhere at ALL times of the day and night. So be prepared for the crowds and you may miss a train or two because of it being over crowded. Don't worry, they come very frequently! OCTOTPUS CARD: This was the BEST thing Hong Kong could have ever thought about! Get an Octopus Card as soon as you arrive and you will good after that! What is an Octopus Card you may ask? It's a card that you can store money and use on buses, trains and in convenient stores such as 7-Eleven! This saves you so much time during the boarding time. You purchase one during your stay in Hong Kong and before you depart you turn it back in and get your refunds of your deposit back when you return the card. (Not a bad deal!) TIPS FOR FIRST TIME RIDERS: When going up the escalator, walk on the left and stand on the right. This will help risk people motioning for you to move out the way and the risk of the displeasure of everyone behind you! While a lot of the hallways are a bit too narrow for comfort you will find that you're still walking quite quickly despite the crowd that's walking alongside you. This station has the older ticketing equipment, but there's nothing wrong with that, and it's a lot less hectic than nearby Mong Kok station, which is literally a 5 minute walk from Yau Ma Tei station. This station is also an interchange station between the Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong Line. Regardless of which direction you're traveling, you have the best chance of finding a seat in Kwun Tong Line trains if you board from this station

First of all, it's the local's choice. (#1) More people line up for this A21 because it hits many if not most of the popular hoods in Kowloon. It is also only $33HKD each way, payable via the Octopus card. Drivers aren't likely to speak much English, so have it ready upon entrance. There are cameras all throughout the bus. If you think your luggage is going to get stolen, you can always keep your eye on the monitors within the bus. There is also semi-decent WiFi on the bus and most everyone will be on their smartphones within minutes of hitting the road. The ride is smooth and easy and like all things in Hong Kong, the AC is on fleek. I personally like to zone out with these rides, which is a nice departure from the fast paced nature of the city's culture. Of course, this ride isn't for everyone. It's a good 45 minutes pending traffic and sometimes you might end up sharing your seat with some random traveler who may or may not fall asleep on you. (#2) Hence, avoid the peak hours and you should be able to covet your space without much interruption. __________ (#1) i.e. the most affordable option. This is not a stereotype.
