The best drink I had while in HK!! And that's saying something! The drink is light, yet creamy. Not what you'd expect comparing it to a typical coconut milk. They blend fresh coconut meat into the milk as well. This adds a decadent coconut pulp that elevated the flavor even more. I could drink this everyday if I could. FYI - it is very filling though! I wouldn't recommend eating this before dinner.

It's hot out, and I need something to kill my thirst. I am in the MK area, and there is one place I would go...thats the King of Coconut Juice. Place is pretty much a hole in the wall next to the eggettes and stinky tofu stands. Order Small, Medium or Large. The guy pretty much takes coconut juice and some cream and mixes it into the blender for some goodness.

In search of boba, one of my friends said that I MUST try this as it was her favorite drink in Hong Kong. Located in the busy streets of Mong Kok, the vendor looked so plain and simple. I ordered a large as the rest of my family ordered a small. Holy Coconuts!!!! Within the first sip, it was a great mixture of sweet, milky, coconut flavor heaven!!! I'm not usually a coconut person, but this definitely changed 20+ years of perspective. My family killed their drink within minutes too. The drink was so good that I went back 1hr later to get an extra large to go! If you're visiting Hong Kong, you have to try this place out. Just writing this review already makes me crave for more!!
King of Coconut serves only one item, but they serve it well. With year-long hot weather in Hong Kong (and this is coming from a person who's not native to tropical climate), the coconut drinks here are undoubtedly refreshing and delicious. I'm normally not a huge fan of coconut, but the blended coconut meat and juice with ice and condensed milk sold here at King of Coconut is pure perfection. Helpful tip: If you don't plan to chug your coconut juice drink within two minutes of purchasing, I suggest continually mixing the drink so that the small bits of coconut meat don't settle to the bottom.

This is second time and I'm going to have to get another one tomorrow. It counteracts with the oily, fried, and strong flavors of other street foods. This will cleanse your palette and bring a sense of wow to your food journey. Did that sound cheesy? lol I'm just in love with this stuff! They should expanded to the U.S! Every state please. The taste is so good. I love coconut period. My fiancé is even a fan of coconut and loved it, I was surprised. Made from real coconut and evaporated milk. Mixed with ice. I'm crazy for Coconut?!? Ok, I get it, coconut is not something you usually crave for, but this stall creates the best coconut condensed milk concoction on the planet. It's refreshing, milky, oh so smooth at the same time. For those, lactose intolerant, which afflict so many of my Asian brothers and sisters, this shake uses no Dairy products. For maximum satisfaction, best to get the coconut in a bottle, especially if you plan to walk around the sweaty, hot, jam packed streets of Mong Kok. A must try! I hear the owner is a local legend
One of the few things I make sure to never leave Hong Kong without doing at least once is having a sip of the sweet coconut nectar from Coconut King. In the near decade since my last review, it has become one of my most frequented businesses and a rite of passage destination for all of my new-to-HK visitors. This was a must-visit for life in the street side foods of Kowloon. (#1) However, this last trip to HK I saw no lines and only one person working the stand. I came through Dundas on multiple occasions to see very little activity, making me wonder if this was the effects of the post-pandemic downtrodden economy, but alas I brought a group of friends and we ordered several drinks. The end result was it was nicely cold, but a tinge blander and less sweet than I had remembered. It was still refreshing, but the wow effect was gone. Before there were people behind the counter cracking open cans of coconut milk and the continuous mixing of drinks, but felt slow and the vibe was a downer. My friends didn't seem too impressed, which I understood why. The bottle prices are up 4HKD (now 30HKD) from the last decade, which is not as crazy as expected. Considering that they've recently expanded to Prince Edward earlier this year, I imagine the brand is doing well, despite it not feeling the same. I'll be back again soon, and while I anticipate another visit, it will be with much lesser expectations. ___________ (#1) Yai Ma Tei is the best. read more
A weekly treat because it's that good! A refreshing tropical treat that doesn't leave you feeling guilty afterwards. The ingredients are a simple blend of coconut meat and evaporated milk (possibly a bit of water), which means the drink is full of coconut flavor and no added sweetener. At $30 HKD a bottle, it's worth it! The staff fills each bottle completely ensuring there aren't any air pockets, so you get the maximum amount each time. read more

Despite everyone raving about this. Neither I nor my parents were satisfied with it. It's not coconut juice but rather blended coconut pulp with evaporated milk. It can be quite gerlat.. read more
Basically a blended milky coconut drink. Really refreshing especially during the summer heat. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it. Only worth it if you are nearby. Size small was good enough for me. Don't think I could have drank anything bigger than that and not get tired of it. read more
I was just talking about King of Coconut with friends the other day so it's time to review it! You've had coconut water. You've had coconut milk. Okay. Well I don't know how King of Coconut makes their drink, but it is mind-blowing. So refreshing and full or delicious coconut flavor. You will be sold after your first sip! Tip: Make sure to buy a bottle! I bought a small cup because I wasn't that thirsty, but I finished the whole cup in about a minute. Do yourself a favor, get the big bottle. You will thank yourself later. There is often a line of people waiting to buy some of this drink, so I don't think you will have a problem finding this place. I will definitely be back to get more of this coconut drink and I will not make the same mistake of buying a small cup! read more

The King of Coconut lives up to its name. Located on a block full of street vendors, it's the perfect drink to quench your thirst. The drink is blended with fresh coconut juice and ice and the end result is an almost slushy like beverage. There's also the option to add boba to your drink for an additional fee. It pairs really well with the street food around here. I enjoyed it a lot with some curry fish balls. read more

This drink is crack. Coconut flesh, ice & evaporated milk. Sounds simple, but so delicious and highly addictive. Thanks to other Yelpers, I knew to get the bottle ($26). I don't pass by this area often, so I also like to buy an extra bottle to bring home. The queue is usually 5-10 minutes long, which isn't bad for Mongkok. read more
King of Coconut probably has the best coconut milk you'll ever have. It's freshly made and not too sweet - perfect for a hot day. Service is fast and friendly. Ordered the smallest size and the portion was enough for me. I definitely recommend this place! read more

First off, I wish I knew I could have added red bean. Being an islander, I really, really enjoy coconut juice. So much so, that I carry a machete around for whenever I get a craving to just cut one open (since they do not sell them in the markets where I live). This is not coconut juice, more like coconut milk. I was quite unsure of what to expect but, I just had to order it since I knew I would regret and wonder what would have been had I not. Located currently next to Paisano's Pizzeria, this quaint little stall offers great flavor. I liken it to an assam milk tea but, with coconut juice and little bits of coco meat. I'M IN LOVE WITH THE COCO!!! Try this stuff. Definitely a new flava in ya ear. read more
Holy crap, I think I just found the holy grail of drinks. I didn't think I was a coconut fan but the sweet, fresh, and silky smooth coconut drinks here are better than bubble tea! They come in 3 sizes (small cup, large cup, large bottle) and I'm done with the large before I'm even off the same street block. It's just a stall next to a bunch of other stalls (like Gong Cha) on a busy street in Mongkok so keep an eye out or you'll miss it. read more
