The pastries here are supplied by the Maxim Group, which is a huge player in the F&B space in Hong Kong. It's pretty hard to avoid something g that they don't touch. There is a good amount of seating space here which is a premium for Hong Kong. You will often see students here studying. Starbucks Frappuccino drinks are still some of the better frappe coffee drinks. My favorite is still coffee bean for this type of drink but you won't find these ok Hong Kong. My favorite items at this Starbucks are the: ristretto Bianca and the cinnamon swirl bun. The cold brew is also not too bad here.

Nevertheless, the line was still super long that one would get a number and wait before a sip of coffee. Menu was simple, espresso or milk coffee. I opted for the iced latte, perfect for the hot weather. The latte was as balanced as a piece of silk, yet never too thick to swallow. Also liked the temperature of the drink, very considerate. I tried the "Ethiopia Jabanto" beans (tasting notes: floral, blueberry, and apple compote) for 80 HKD, which is quite expensive. The crazy thing is, a 100g bag of the same beans was only 115 HKD. But hey, I'll pay a premium for a good pour over before committing to a whole bag. They served the pour over in a paper cup, which I wasn't thrilled about since hot coffee in paper tends to pick up that unpleasant waxy flavor. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was muted and watery. It had some fruity notes, but nothing close to the vibrant blueberry flavor I expected. Overall, I was disappointed and didn't end up buying the beans. When I walked in, I saw the barista was already busy making drinks for other customers; understandable for such a small setup. I figured I'd take my time to look at their bean selection, and smell all their aromas to decide what I'd like to try. However, the cashier lady kept trying to direct me back to the menu and constantly asked me what I wanted to order. It made me feel pressured and rushed to pick something. My husband and I ended up deciding on two different beans for iced pourovers. The cashier then told us it'll be about a 25 min wait and we can come back later. Don't know what the rush was to order if there was a long wait anyways. Later when we returned, I was surprised the cashier just handed us our drinks already made. We did not get to watch the barista demonstrate the pourover process or ask any questions. Definitely not the experience we expected given the setup and how the drinks were $90 per cup.
