Oh, sorry, it's actually not totally new, it's a reopen and relocated Lala Mama's which has been originally located at the Main St..... As I got inside, immediately I fell in love with this place - the wooden decor, the retro style, the friendly and energetic staff, the re-styled mahjong table, the book shelf filled with cookery and travel books, and the sofa with colourful cushions...I could just sit here for the whole afternoon! The flat white was good and rich, the caramel cake was soft and yummy, so I've spent nearly the whole afternoon here with a randomly picked book from the shelf. Will definitely come back again for lunch next time, cos I saw that the portobello served by other customer was so huge and looked yummy. The top floors of the mall really doesn't seem like it gets much traffic nowadays. However, the basement is still pretty active, probably because there's a fairly large Mahjong club down there. LOL! I saw the servers setting tables up and bringing food out, then a whole table of ~8 people would just roll out of the Mahjong club next door and start chowing down. From the look of it, they have quite a large selection of dishes, including some decent looking seafood as well. Unfortunately, I was just on my own this time, so was only able to try a few limited items. The steamed free range chicken was definitely solid. Honestly, it's pretty hard to go wrong with chicken in Hong Kong. Price is slightly more expense than other local diners, but just marginally so. The oyster congee came pretty loaded with oysters as well. Unfortunately, flavor was a bit weak though.
