With that in mind, I give this place four stars for the taste of the food. Lamb Chops with Rice - Fragrant and tender Iskender Kebab with Bread - A huge portion- perhaps a little bit more than what a normal person can finish! The meat is interesting and nothing like I've had before but it was enjoyable. Turkish Apple Tea - Good Hot Mango Tea - Tastes exactly like unset - hot jelly mixture. Do not waste money on this one! Severely understaffed with just one waitress for around 10 tables, perhaps more. Other workers (they look like the owners family or of the same ethnicity) were just sitting around and waiting for this one busy lady to manage the restaurant. It makes them look like terrible employers that force their staff to the brink of falling over and I hope this changes soon.

Mainly because I have never had Turkish ice cream, it fit the description. light with some "small nuts" in it. That fit the description of Turkish ice cream, probably read on wikipedia. A couple described the Turkish ice cream at Joy Mall by Qufu Road Station as heavy & saturated. So I figured I better try some probably more authentic Turkish Ice Cream in Hong Kong.

Came here three times in two weeks for a casual business lunch. Being on the top floor and a little more expensive than a greasy spoon, this place never became terribly crowded nor noisy, even during peak lunch hours. Decor is crafted textured light pine wooden bench seating in an open space with little distance between tables. Every table has a jug of water and two glasses. Lunch menu has several set meal options - all meat filled - as well as a la carte. The emphasis is on healthy dining with simple ingredients. The set meals - a panko style fried pork cutlet, halibut with greens, and something steak like - all range from about HKD84 to HKD88. Each set meal comes with a soup and after lunch beverage of coffee/tea/lemon water. You also have a choice of white or five-grain rice. The cutlet was nicely-breaded and fried and substantial enough for me for a lunch meal. The palm-sized halibut fillet, which seemed it had been a little over-frozen and kind of mushy, despite the nice subtle sauce - is not enough food for someone over the age of 4. The hefty bowls of rice make up for the lack of the main...or are SUPPOSED TO, however. Being that it's a set menu at HK$90 or less we couldn't really complain. If you order a la carte - and there is a good selection of meats and pastas - there are many other satisfying options. On one occasion, a diner at the table next to us had a Flintstone-size steak that would make you want to loosen the buttons on your pants and yell, WILLLLMMAAAAA! The steak came with a few obligatory vegetables, and the man - who was not much larger than the steak itself - wolfed it down within 10 minutes. Good place. Good grief.

Even though the "lunch set" includes a coffee, with the salads costing $88-$98 each it's hard to add another item like a sandwich for $100+. I'd come again if I'm trying to be healthy and want something a little bit different, but not if I'm at all hungry or I'd need to supplement it with something else before/after.

Similar to cuisines in Australia, a diverse from British-based, with great ingredients selections, and they love lamb, um, I think. With curiosity, my friend and I decide to go and give a try. Located in Graham Street, just below Hollywood Road, Motu Kiwi is easy to spot. It's a tiny cosy cafe, decor is simple, with an open kitchen, which is good to chill with friends. We start with caesar salad, right amount of ingredients and flavours, lettuce is fresh and bacon is crispy. The main of my friend is fish and chip - classic and delicious, fish is cooked beautifully and chips are homemade; but the best dish of evening is fish kokoda! The dish is more like ceviche, marinated raw fish (mine is snapper) imported directly from New Zealand, seasoned nice with lemon juice, paired with fresh salad, all work together! I have to say the dishes are in big portion, have to leave dessert in our next visit. One more credit to give to the staff, Nicole is super friendly and she knows everything in the menu! It is difficult not to celebrate good food with good wines, unfortunately Motu Kiwi is still waiting for liquor license, however, there are enough reasons to come back again.
