But as I discovered, this is far more than a traditional, run-of-the-mill crepe. I ordered the Traditional Beijing Jian Bing, which comes with sweet chili sauce, cilantro, scallion, Chinese fried dough, hoisin sauce, and an egg-based crepe. We were asked if we wanted it spicy - of course! - and then the concoction was created before our very eyes. It's nothing short of magnificent. There are so many delicious flavors and textures going on here, and the whole thing is just incredibly addictive from the first bite to the last. The hoisin sauce especially gives it a delectable tang, and I also appreciated the impressive level of spice. I can't believe I'd never heard of this thing before. Jian Bing is now one of my absolute favorite foods, and I can't wait to eat another one.

Its been always my first stop to shop for a breakfast take away before getting into the MTR for work. Pretty much everything is freshly made, every morning and day, Its always packed with lots of people so by afternoon everything is gone. The store shop got recently a make over but it still kept some nostalgia. Its always really nice to eat something that actually been baked from the shop and not been produced in a factory and then spread out over the city like e.g. Maxims bakery. The aunties working in the shop have been around here for a while and gives great and fast service. There was one time I was in really hurry and at the cashier I realized I forgot my wallet at home. She noticed that immediately and just told me its okay lah just come back next day with the money. I really appreciate this kind of local style attitude and service that people in the neighborhood still trust each other which you hardly can't see nowadays.
