So funny as I was just at Light on the Sugar earlier in the day prior to stopping into East End Market where Ôbon Chocolatier is located. The people at Light on the Sugar told me Ôbon Chocolatier is their new concept and sister company specializing in artisanal chocolates. So here I am scoping out the scene. Ôbon Chocolatier has a primo spot at East End Market right by the main front entrance. They have their own private entrance too, which is nice. They specialize in hand-crafted bon bons and artisanal chocolates but also offer other items such as fruit cake, cocoa lattes, coffee lattes, specialty tea, lemonade and hot tea. Their fruit cakes are the viral fruit pastries that have been taking over social media. Last summer, I got a chance to try some fruit pastries from Tu Cha in Los Angeles, these really are a work of art. Ôbon Chocolatier offers fruit cake flavors such as the lychee rose, strawberry brownie, mango, raspberry and pistachio. I want to try the mango and pistachio ones! They only make a limited amount daily so it's first come, first serve. Once it's sold out, it's gone for the day. Bon bon gift box sets range in pricing pending on how many bon bons you get. Next time, I need to get the 6 bon bons for $23 or 12 bon bons for $45 option. I definitely don't need 24-48 bon bons. Lol. A few of the bon bon flavors that intrigued me include the following: * Soy Caramel * Dubai * Viet Coffee * Mint Chocolate * Strawberry Matcha * Ube * Thai Tea * Rocher Hazelnut * Honey Brown Butter * Passion Fruit I didn't get to try any of the bon bons, fruit cakes or drinks on this particular day as we were coming from two other bakeries earlier and were full. Every time I pass by this place in East end market, I'm dying to try it! I finally got some. The lady at the register was really nice and helped recommend what flavors to get. The display is really nice. I also really liked the way they packaged the chocolates as well. I got six different flavors. I got Ube, Vietnamese coffee, passionfruit, s'mores, strawberry cheesecake, and Dubai chocolate. All of them were so good. I will say I don't really like fruit so the passionfruit wasn't my favorite. The strawberry cheesecake and the dubai were my favorite. I thought that it would just be a flavor, but there's like layers inside of the truffle. I would highly recommend you try this place out! Came here on Valentine's Day (today) and they had a ton of the beautiful desserts left so I had to try!! I got the mango one. The presentation was gorgeous and the dessert itself was delicious. It had a hard crunchy exterior shell (you know the one you see on TikTok all the time) and then the inside was full of vanilla ganache, mango pieces and chocolate maybe? I'm a sucker for some bougie chocolate, so when I heard ÔBon was opening inside East End Market, I knew I had to check it out. This business was founded by the creators of Light on the Sugar, and they have a member of their team leading the charge who is actually a trained French chocolatier. They serve a large variety of bon bons that are beautifully painted and come in many unique flavors, as well as decadent lattes & desserts. The chocolates are definitely on the pricey side (you're paying for artistry and packaging that is fancy af), but they are worth it imo. The box alone probably costs them so much to produce and it was so nice, I didn't even want to throw it away. But back to the chocolates -- I got a six pack for $23. The flavors I chose were the Dubai (pistachio), ube, passion fruit mango, tres leches, matcha yuzu, and crême brûlée. They are all amazing, velvety, and just melt in your mouth. I'd have to say my faves were the ube, crême brûlée, and Dubai. It was the perfect little treat to satisfy my sweet tooth. I'd definitely like to try more of the fun flavors like croissant and black sesame raspberry. Also keeping this top of mind for a special local gift option! read more

1,000% Yes. Located in the East End Market, they offer truffles and coffee varieties. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked a few questions to clarify some of the ingredients and options, and they were able to answer everything clearly and without hesitation. The store front does not have seating itself, but there is patio seating just outside, which is the seating are for most options within the marketplace itself. It has a boutique vibe and glass cases to protect the chocolates from the outside heat. Overall: A++ Loved the chocolates we got and will most definitely be back. read more

I knew they had recently joined East End and wanted to give them a try. The cashier was nice and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. I got the back forest flavor and it was lacking that cherry flavor. Unfortunately for me, the lack of flavor was not worth the price. This was my first time checking out the chocolate shop that took the place of Dochi Donuts in East End Market. They have a nice variety of truffles. They sell mostly chocolates and chocolate covered goods. The truffles are the main sell. The ladies at the counter were very polite and helpful. We had wonderful conversation about chocolate and make up haha. It's an easy go to the counter, pick your chocolate and go spot. No seats of their own. They have picnic seats outside for the whole market. I finally got to try the viral Dubai chocolate, as a cute truffle. It was nice! It's a pistachio heavy chocolate with a nice crunch of philo dough in the middle. I'll definitely be back to try others! read more

A truly extravagant and new addition to East End Market! This place has some of the friendliest workers and ones that are so quick with their job, I felt like my chocolates I ordered were given to me before I was done ordering lol! The location is very small and only big enough for a few people in the location, with the rest standing in the hall or outside, waiting. When I wa spacing my order, the girl working was very fast with the order, ringing me up and giving my order to the next girl who grabbed my chocolates. All the chocolates are on display and set up very pretty. The chocolates themselves are not labeled in the case but they do have a couple menus showing a cross section of each chocolate as well as the name of them so you don't have to guess what is what. One chocolate is currently $3.95 but if you get more it is slightly discounted in price. I got 6 different chocolates and have to say they were all HEAVENLY. The chocolate is rich and sweet without being overpowering. I decided to get a chocolate called 'croissant'. It was light and airy and had a nice buttery flavor to it. I also got a Viet Coffee which had a nice rich coffee flavor. Overall a nice place, they also have specialty teas as well cocoa based drinks that seemed good but we're a little on the higher side so I didn't get any of them on this trip. I tried the Mango "cake" and it was delicious even though it was NOT cake at all. The lady was very nice and she did tell me it was mostly mango Mousse before I paid so I was aware and still decided to try it. At first I thought it was pricey but I can see how much work they put into each dessert they make. It's worth the price. It was not only beautiful but flavorful. The Mango "cake" was bigger than I thought. Light, almost airy even though it's dipped in white chocolate. The mousse inside is extremely soft and pairs really well with the mango compote inside. The fresh pieces of mango definitely brighten it up. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Will be back to try more flavors. It's hard to find parking where it's located but it's worth it. They have a couple other spots worth checking out. Chill spot to walk around for maybe half an hour and get some treats. read more

In town for vacation. We saw this establishment online and decided to stop by. At 2 pm and after driving 30 minutes, a random woman who works in one of the nearby shops came over to tell us the person working in the shop "had to take care of something, and asked her to close the shop". She said she didn't know how long the worker would be gone. However, to come by her shop should we have any questions. So, apparently there is only 1 person working there and she leaves at random times. There is also not a number listed to call ahead of time. We left after waiting 15 minutes and will not be returning. Completely unprofessional!! read more

The flavors were rich and they were perfectly constructed. Be aware that this is definitely a luxury product. Everything is hand crafted with decadent ingredients. Wow the chocolate here is so exquisite and creative . I decided to try the bon bons and I tried the banana. Omg the banana was my favorite it had a nice filling that mimicked banana pudding and was so soft and sweet. I also loved that the outside was hard and gave a nice crunch . I think my favorite bon bon was the smores . The dark chocolate just melted in my mouth . My friend and I were so excited to go here after seeing reels on ig and it's placed right near my fav ramen spot . The serves were really nice and gave great recommendations. When my boyfriend and I went to go buy the viral Fruit Pastries we were so impressed with how friendly the front staff was and all they provided. The chocolates looked incredible! However, after we purchased all five and started to eat them, we both had mix feelings about two. The flavors for that day were lemon, mango, raspberry, and peach. Truly the raspberry was by far the best one! As soon as you bit down into it, it felt like you were eating heaven. The lemon was a tad bit sour but also amazing. The mango and peach though, we both spat it out and couldn't finish them. We think the ones we got were old or no good anymore. My lovely boyfriend though kept eating those because he didnt want to let the $11 pastries go to waste. Later that night we both became extremely sick especially him. So, if you do go, we both would HIGHLY suggest if you do want to have them, ask to see when they were made so you dont get sick like we did. read more

I was hip to these until my homegirl hipped me. These desserts are FN fire!!!! I didn't know what to expect, Ive never had a dessert that tastes better in my life. The filling... moist, smooth, flavorful, the shell is addictive, the click, crunch, OMG the best. The moose,cake, shell, and flavors paired well. I can see myself eating these a few times a week. The price point is a bit high at around $11 apiece but I guess worth the experience and taste. Very satisfying 10 out of 10. This store has much to choose from. Check them out. 5 stars even though they don't offer dairy free chocolate YET! To source that is expensive, so the chef is actively working on creating an alternative especially for us! They have non dairy options available for drinks. I love a company that listens to their community's wants & needs. Im lactose intolerant & have insulin sensitivities, so i avoid sugar typically. I already love their other business, light on the sugar, so i was very excited to try this spot. Guess what... i ate 1/3 of the dubai strawberry cup & 2 whole bon bons and felt completely fine! No head ache, no tummy issues, just dreamy delicious flavors without the intense sweetness crash. They are flavor forward. My favorite was their dubai cup and blood orange almond. My husband loves sweets & his favorite was the strawberry cheesecake. My daughter loved the black sesame raspberry. It's located in East End which is notorious for difficult parking, but worth it if you can swing by. The staff are patient & kind with any questions or suggestions you may have/want. read more

I love seeing new businesses being added to the east and market building an area. Today I decided to stop and get some things from freehand goods for my father for Father's Day; so seeing this new shop was really exciting. I was told by the girl at the front that they are a French chocolatier that makes handmade bonbons. She said they have some limited did it edition flavors just for the summer and then she said they also have boxes that you can get. Besides from the bonbons they also have Dubai chocolate as well as the Nutella and Café strawberry cup that I have been seeing around. The ambience of this cute little chocolate shop is bright and vibrant - definitely need to check it out! read more

This is a cute little and I mean really little chocolate store located in the East End Market in Orlando. There was a line when we got there but the wait wasn't too bad as the workers were trying their best to keep the line moving. The only thing I think that needs improvement is there's a side door that leads right into the line that starts in the market. Probably closing the side door would lead to less confusion and less crowding. Anyway, they offer some really delicious truffles here that look like little art pieces and other treats such as fresh strawberries and chocolate and cute little fruit flavor cakes that are only made in small batches so they tend to sell out quickly. Their drink menu includes different flavored cocoas which I look forward to trying on my next visit there. Other drinks include lemonade, specialty teas and different flavored lattes. The lavender lemonade was amazing and yummy! The staff were very friendly! We also tried the popcorn truffle? Bon bon? But all we could taste was chocolate and maybe a hint of cream? So I'm actually not a big chocolate fan, but I saw they have the viral fruit shaped cakes, and they specifically had one in pumpkin. And I'm a sucker for pumpkin. So while I was here at East market for another stall, I decided to stop and treat myself to a pumpkin cake.. I will say I would like all of the cakes to actually list what's in them because there is chocolate in the pumpkin cake thankfully, it wasn't too overwhelming and I still enjoyed it. But all of the cakes are just listed as the shape they are a cake. So that could be improved. There were two employees at the time one of them said nothing and looked annoyed because I was taking pictures and the other one was friendly enough. There was one person in front of me so if you want these viral cakes, go early in the morning and you'll be able to walk in and walk out with them.
