Amazing food and service. We planned to order 3 dishes between 5 ppl but the server recommend getting only 2 and it was just the right amount of food. The dishes can feed 2-3 ppl. We ordered the steak with garlic, cuttlefish with garlic and chorizo appetizer.

Amazing place where locals eat. We were there at 730pm when they opened and luckily got a table as all tables were booked by 9pm. We did the fixed menu for 3 persons. Each costs €20 and they brought out 11 dishes + desserts!!! It's unbelievable, they were so much foods that we had to tell them to stop giving out foods. Waiter was super friendly and spoke good English. Also try their special sangria, it's amazing! Negative side is that it is cash only. I highly recommended this place as it is not a tourist trap like the Timeout market we recently went.

I bumped into this place after spending a whole day at Sintra. Originally I was going to try Time Out Market after dropping stuff back at hotel (LX51). But I lost track of time chasing miradouro & sunsets in the neighborhood and had zero will power left venture out. So I walked around the neighborhood searching on yelp and this place showed up. Among all restaurant searches in Lisbon this place had statistically significant rating of 5 stars so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is fully booked but they had a very tiny space right under a boca de incendio box so the waiter ushered me in. He explained (1) cash only, (2) all orders are for 2 people. However, seeing I'm by myself, he was kind enough to reduce the portion. I originally wanted a seafood rice but the waiter recommended cod fish or cuttlefish. So I had cuttlefish, red wine mushroom, and a small (?) pitcher of red wine sangria. Everything from the not-very-good-looking field mushroom to cuttlefish (cooked in garlic, olive oil, some herbs) were AMAZING. The sangria is sweet just by the perfect balance, cuttlefish is so flavorful and tender. I for sure ordered way too much then I can finish but I am going to. As I got slower finishing my meal (~10:30 to 11:00 pm), people come various group sizes came nonstop. Make sure you make reservation, bring enough cash, and enjoy this Portuguese feast!

This is such a hidden gem in Lisbon and the most local experience we had while visiting the city. We found the place only because our uber driver recommended it as the best restaurant in Lisbon. Without an appointment, we got a table kindly set up for us. (Def make an appointment, this is a popular place) we ordered the 20 euro/person tasting menu, the quantity of food was so large that I was full after just a few courses. Food was also amazing!

The cod was a bit too salty by itself so you had to eat it with some of the chickpeas or potatoes served with it.

The restaurant was empty at 7pm but by 7:30pm it was very busy. The ambiance was jazzy and friendly, as was the wait staff who spoke English and were very helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious: the fish of the day - a white fish filet which was crumbed in hazelnuts served on mashed potatoes; baked cod; grilled octopus; and a very interesting vegetarian dish called Emotional Cabbage, which was a cabbage stew served on a huge amount of rice. The desserts were FABULOUS- Nata Goes Asian, which was very thin rice crackers that were drizzled with the traditional custard sauce of Portugal. It was a light dessert but very satisfying. The second was a brownie with vanilla ice cream which was also excellent. We ended the dinner with a complementary pour of a ruby port (brand unnamed). All in all, it was a fun casual dinner in a lovely restaurant. BTW, the restaurant is adjacent to the Hotel 1906. The decor was funky and like some of the names of the dishes, had a sense of humor, Prices were fairly reasonable. Definitely recommend.

As we were exploring the grass and…read moreneighborhood, walking up the hill to the lookout point, we came across this lovely restaurant house and a small hotel. We spoke with the server who indicated they would have lunch available till three and after seeing the delicious looking pan Asian menu we decided to come back after our walk. We are so glad that we did! It was a brisk but sunny day and we were able to sit out in a covered patio in the garden with beautiful plants and flowers all around. The server Was knowledgeable about the pan Asian menu, indicating some of the specialties from various parts of Asia. We selected a pod Thai dish which included black sesame and Julie and vegetables and was one of the best dishes I've ever had of that time. We also sampled some meat pastries, samosas, and a couple of salads. They also have burgers and other "American style" meals which also looks good. But the pièce de résistance was a salt and pepper chocolate cake which was one of the most delicious desserts I've ever eaten. It was a chewy chocolate cake dark but not better capped with sea salt and red pepper corns and was absolutely divine. We can't recommend the small restaurant and it's very menu enough to anyone who is lucky enough to be walking around Graca - And in fact if you are in Lisbon it is worth a bus or tram or even Uber ride to get there.

Food Quality: For around 8 euros you get a really fresh burger. I had the veggie Burger, which was more like a sandwich, but had a lot of really great and fresh roasted vegetables on it. So I can't judge on the meat quality. But everything was totally tastey. And the potato chips have been really crispy and yummy. Not drowned in oil. This was totally worth the money. Additional hint for best view point in Lisboa: leaving the location turn left and on the corner sharp left. You know, when you have the view. This is also not so croweded by tourists like this strange chapel.
