While he did a good job, each skirt was $60 to shorten each skirt a few inches, AND it was done by machine. Both he and Heather were very nice, but I thought at the time that was excessive. I didn't do my research and check other alternatives in the area. $60 to shorten each a couple of inches on the machine, maybe 15 minutes maximum....(1 picture of hem from the underside, it's going vertical 4 some reason, the other one what u can see from the outside, going horizontal....) The machine did do a good job, but $120 for 2 skirts on a machine is excessive.... So after I read Neewin's response, I brought in another garment to hem and get taken in. He couldn't have bn more cordial about it, and, surprised me by having it ready the very next day, instead of 5 days later. Good business. I will definitely be bringing my alterations back to him.

When I came for my scheduled follow up appt 2 weeks later, she was not there nor was my dress in the store. I made another appointment, when I showed up, she had not done the sleeves, and the adjustment to the bodice was bad and she had changed how the zipper laid. In total, I went to her place 5 times before taking the dress to another person, 3 of those 5 times she was no show/reschedule. Mary was very mean to me, demanding that she never said certain alterations were included, like bringing in the sides, and I had to produce the receipt she had written it down on. After seeing her handwriting, she then said very mean things about my body and made me cry. The other alterations person said she did the bodice and the zipper in a non professional way. Mary said she would give me a half refund of $250, of which she only has given $80 bc I showed up in person asking and it has been 3 months of me asking. I think if your a UCLA student looking to get pants hemmed, her store would be a great fit, but I would avoid for any wedding or complicated things. Make sure you take a picture of what you drop off and have her write down what she's agreed to do -- she spent a lot of time saying untrue things, and then I'd show her the picture of how the zipper looked before she messed it up, etc. Included is a picture of her work where she 'fixed' the bodice chest part.

"... yeah so as I was saying, the shoulders pull the shirt so that here on the sides is too loose" "Okay, I can do the sides". At this point, the communication, demeanor, and the price was not right for us. So we asked her to take the pins out and that we're going to get the shirts tailored elsewhere. "I say the price before the pins," (she didn't) "so that people know BEFORE. And this is the old price, not even the new price. This is the old price and I said it before so to avoid this". Yikes.
