On day 2, the three man team finished capping the posts and completed the minor work and clean up. I was happy that they were able to come 2 weeks early. The job was finished in 2 days. Comparable (slightly lower) costs that 2 other companies that gave me quotes. AG was able to answer the questions that I had after day 1. Very minor complaint- I did not get a clear answer on whether STF would call to have utilities marked before starting. After asking twice and not getting an answer, I called to have utilities marked. It only took 5 minutes, but other companies that gave me quotes said that they would call. Happy with job.

You know when you read some reviews after the fact and think, "Wow, our experience was the opposite…read moreof most of these low-star reviews." This is the case... Our neighbors, who are highly intelligent scientists, researched companies to take down their trees. They wanted a fair price and a company with insurance. They had several companies come and give estimates and picked Tree Solutions of Texas. While the company was working on the neighbor's trees, I inquired about a quote on removing our trees. (At this point I heard a different neighbor say they were quoted $6k to take down their 2 trees, so I was nervous how much Tree Solutions would charge.) Our estimate was $1000*! This included tree removal, haul away of the main trees and stump grinding. *We opted to NOT pay an extra $250 for the mulch removal. (In hindsight... it was about 70+ garbage bags of mulch that weighed about 50lbs+ each... yowza.) When we officially accepted the offer, we only had to wait a day or so for the company to come out and take the trees down!!! No waiting weeks on end! The crew that came to take down their trees were friendly, professional and VERY efficient! They had the trees down in no time with NO damage to our property. Later that day, a gentleman came to grind the stumps and surface roots. He was so wonderful and helpful, adding that if we find any additional roots, they would gladly come back out to grind some more. Well, fast forward and we did find some more areas that needed work and they were out the next day to grind some more at no extra charge! Great job from start to finish!! We received an estimate / quote that state the trees would be "cut flush to the ground" and all…read moredebris would be removed because we are installing a new fence. Neither of these happened. While the people are friendly enough, I feel like if we had received all the information up front, we would have gone with a different company. The main issue I have is if you say you are going to cut "flush to the ground" that means it will be level to the ground. There were four stumps that were not flush and I was told their chainsaws could not cut them lower. But in order for us to grind it, that would be an additional cost, and that would push us over the other estimate we received. The estimator tried to say he brought up grinding during our conversation, but he did not. With my profession I document everything, and that was never brought into the conversation or offered. I went with the literal quote which said "flush to the ground." Now we are looking for someone else to grind it, and I don't even care if it is more expensive than what they offered, because at this point, I don't trust what they are saying. The area was left a mess too, I sent pictures of the debris they left behind. I try to do my research and I am really disappointed in my choice this time and would not recommend them based on what I feel was a bait and switch tactic.
