Adam, the owner, responded almost immediately letting me know that he was booked through July. I loved the fact that a) he responded at all vs just ignoring the request, b) was upfront and honest about his timeline vs just taking the job and overextending himself. Once I told him that we were in no rush, and would be happy to wait, he proceeded to text back and forth with me helping me get an idea as to what the job might cost. He made recommendations about plants, etc....and all this without officially having secured my business. Towards the end of July, I reached back out to see what his timeline looked like. Again, he responded almost immediately. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said he would come out to measure the area, and discuss the job in more detail. In my mind, he had absolutely nothing to apologizing for. He set a date to come out, came out exactly at the time he promised, and helped us figure out what would look good. He provided a written, detailed estimate, which he adhered to...we paid exactly what he quoted. On the day of the job, he showed up as promised and on time. He laid out all of the plants, and allowed us to move them around several times until we got everything exactly the way we wanted it. His team worked quickly and neatly. The end results are amazing! I literally couldn't be any happier with this company. If I could give more than five stars, I would

In came Jen. I gave them a down payment. We spoke in March/April and once the weather cleared the crew got started and made behind my garage nice again; which I am sure my neighbors appreciated. Once they started on the back I asked about a quote for the front side of my house. Showed her a few pics of what I was looking for and they did it...still a work in progress as Im looking for the right decorative stone. Once its completed I'll upload another pic. It was so hard to find a company that did not mind the "nasty" work. I'll be using them for future projects!!!! Communication was easy!

I used Rick's Landscaping for thatch removal many years ago (did an excellent job) and called Rick's to sign a contract for late in the season this year. After the first mowing I was amazed at how much better my lawn looked than after I had done it because Rick's Landscaping cut my lawn at the correct height. Then, areas were trimmed and the sidewalks and driveway (even my patio!) was cleaned with the blower. My lawns never looked this good! Although I do enjoy mowing my own lawn, it will not be easy to return to the low quality of mowing that I do after the high quality lawn care Rick's Landscaping does. I am willing to pay for reliability, honesty and lawn "care" and Rick's Landscaping gives me exactly that. I am grateful Rick's is in business in Bolingbrook.

Pros - The quote Fernando gave me was fair, and he and his team did a decent job…read more Cons - If he agrees to do the job, be prepared to be ghosted or have your time wasted. He came a day later than he told me he would, without telling me ahead of time. Replaced my mulched area with gravel without telling me. He also left a giant pile of gravel on my lawn for a full day, killing a big patch of grass. I needed paver bricks laid, and he rebuilt pillars on the patio without telling me. While rebuilding the pillars, he cut the wire that was connected to light fixtures that are on top of the pillars. Fernando would not admit that he cut the wire, but I confirmed with an electrician that there is no power running to the end of those wires, so they were cut along the way. After weeks of calling Fernando and asking him to come out to take a look at the light fixtures, he either never responded or ghosted me. Stay safe and spend a little more money to have work done by people that won't damage your property and won't waste your time.

Simply dropped the ball and walked out of the project, THERE are still unfinished items. Main task I hired them for, was to do level stone paver and patching of my entire front and back yard and weed control. Now, after two months, the property is full of weeds; bumps and dips throughout, mulch was put in which prevented weed from growing, now seeds grown in unwanted flower beds!!!, This job would take a professional company a few days at least between prepping and cleanup work before even starting to lay soil and compact it in those bumpy areas. They demanded that I pay in cash and they will come next day to finish the job! Next day Gerardo the owner shows up demanding the payment. It has been a real nightmare with lots of back and forth and blaming mother nature for their mistake. Not there are grass seeds started sprouting over flower beds and weed where the grass should be growing!! What a waste of money, time and energy. I feel deceived and robbed my hard-earned money!!
