This particular location is located at the Tanger Outlets in Texas City. It for sure is a hidden gem. I can go into Houston to any of the big department stores and find the same exact clothes for double and triple the price. If you sign up for their promotions you get coupons regularly. I walked in this past weekend to find a fit for an event, and they happened to be celebrating their 10 year anniversary and they just handed me a very generous gift card to be used that day. Needless to say I purchased way more than I initially came in for. The pics posted for this business is not accurate for right now as the store is very organized and it has always been that way for the years I have been coming here. Usually outlets have the rejects but this place has the high end look that I am used to from Polo.

I was clearly waiting in line, she saw me, and instead of helping, she flagged another associate to check me out. As soon as I walked out of the check out area, she went right back to the register like nothing happened. It felt intentional and honestly left a bad impression. I don't expect over-the-top service, but basic acknowledgment and consistency go a long way. This wasn't it.

Store has a lot of tropical/island designs there...but, doesn't "outlet" mean it's cheaper?!! Well, unless it's on sale...it's the same price as the big store. FYI. Also, some employees are not knowledgeable that "online " merchandise can be returned to ANY Chico's store for years now. You will have some tell you, it's outlet to outlet...retail to retail, but, ITS NOT. You can return ANY merchandise at ANY Chico's. FACT CHECK ME! I looked all over the town and the website pointed me to this store. Parking lot was huge and shared with other businesses. Getting here was a breeze after commute hours. The entrance was mislabeled. Well, it was confusing to me because normally I see one for enter and one for exit at other Academy stores. But there is only one for both. Oh well. I just have to bump into other customers as they walk in and out. The store had enough customers to them busy. Although I only saw cashiers, not many employees stocking up or helping on the floor. I went straight to the Skecher section. I love this store because of merchandise display and logical layout. I initially attracted by the Sports Team Apparel near the entrance. But I couldn't find the red cap with Texans logo made by '47 Brand. Looks like all Academy Sports & Outdoors carry same merchandise. Thanks for having the footwear I was looking for. After trying them on, I have decided not to get those styles. One looked like rain boots and the other one look like working boots. I found a cheaper brand that was close to what I was looking for but it's hard to walk in them.

She likes the Banana Republic brand and the clothes seem to fit her well. The prices are really good at times and average at others. From a men's clothing perspective, they are not cut to fit larger frames. If you wear rolled up cuffs on your jeans, you'll like shopping here. If you need more room and prefer to continue to breathe when you are dressed, then you should probably shop elsewhere. Just my opinion. Bottom line - For women's clothing, the wife really likes shopping here. For men's clothing, it runs small and is not made for men that actually have meat on their bones.
