My friend picked up a nicely designed boonie cover (well, that's what we called them back in my deployment days) and an awesome off white pair shorts. Now, the staff that helped us on this day was one of the best I've experienced in a clothing shop. From enthusiasm, to answering questions, ensuring we get the best discounts, and helping us to sign up for their rewards/app, etc., I was extremely impressed. There is a welcoming atmosphere here and I'd sure enjoy coming back anytime. I really don't think prices at Van's are overly high when compared to other outlets of its type at Town Center. It's not a restaurant, but a store located at the lower level of the Avenues Mall that sells pop culture-themed products. It kinda reminds me of ThinkGeek, but with a cause. Their slogan is "Get Some. Give Back," so for every $10 spent, a meal will be donated to a person in need. Additional contributions can also be made by rounding up your purchase to the nearest dollar. The parent company is Hot Topics so if you've ever shopped there, they have similar products but BoxLunch is less gothic, more open / bright, and organized. They have a similar reward system, but instead of getting "Hot Cash", they'll give you "Lunch Money." Towards the back of the store are shelves with clearance items. When I was there, there was a pretty big selection. Items were an additional 30% off the lowest price. Ellen was the person that cashed us out. She was friendly and very sweet. She advised that 90% of the items there are BoxLunch exclusives. In addition to brick and mortar locations, the company is also web base so check out their website if you want to get any idea of the products / prices. In short -- clothes shopping BORES me. So of course, I've passed by this place millions of times with a fear of going inside. However, I am glad I finally walked into this little store -- what a great mistake that was! Comparable to the Bealls Outlet that closed its doors near this location, Dots has the same low prices and stylish clothes. Not boring but fresh and trendy styles in sizes that actually fit. I love that they don't just have size 6,8, and 11 -- they have it in slim and curvy for those of us with average waistlines, which is pretty much everyone larger than Kate Moss. I hate buying pants a size larger just to get it to fit properly and then have to trim the bottom just so it fits my height. But the pants I bought at Dots fit just right right out of the box! No need to alter or fold up the cuffs. They also have a great selection of coats that are warm and only cost $30. Most of the coats of similar quality in local stores were selling for $50 and up. Dots is my new favorite go-to place for low prices and stylish but comfy clothes.

Show Carnival is always offering coupons and the staff there really does a great job of making sure you're getting the best deal. Anytime you purchase more than one item, you're allowed to spin their wheel which offers additional discounts. Sketchers has become my numero uno in footwear! Over the course of this year, I've purchased two…read morepairs of dress shoes, one pair of trail shoes, which added to the Sketchers household shoes I've had around for a while! The deals here really make it difficult to not visit every day! I used to be a New Balance guy but I found what seemed to be changes in the shoes that caused them to not last as long as they used to. I didn't need to stick with NB anymore since my military service ended. But I found an opportunity to give another brand a try. I picked up a sturdy black trail shoe that continues to impress me and shows no signs of wearing out, whether on the trails shooting photos and videos, walking the beach, or for everyday use. I picked up a couple of dress shoes as well. One was a pair of brown slip-ins, that not only fit like a glove, but are a comfy as all get out! With both of these, my old Walking Co. shoes have been replaced. My second pair of dress shoes are black waterproof but are not slip-ins. Each pair have been terrific in appearance and durability. It's pretty clear Sketchers has come a long way in recent years! I will say if you come here, first you much look for deals - that's what an outlet like this is all about. Also, you must sign up for emails and rewards! You will get rewarded many times over! I'll finally say that the customer service has been stellar. I truly appreciate the employees here helping me with my questions and aiding me to get the best in the deals they offer. Some years back I bought a pair of Skechers tennies that had a flaw in the heal area and I had to return them. I stayed away from them until this year.
