The texture is always right and they're generously filled. It's one of their popular items, but they have a lot of other good stuff on their menu too! Their perashkis are good if you're looking for something savory (I wish there was an "assorted" box for this too for when I can't pick a single flavor). Also recommend their Bread broat - Adjarakan and Georgian Khachapuri. And then there's the cake section. Don't get me started on this. I'm admittedly biased when it comes to honey cakes but their assorted sheet cakes are SO GOOOOOOD!!! Just the right sweetness and texture, and good portion sizing (bless them for this because I'd eat the whole sheet otherwise). So yeah, if you're looking for a new spot to try or just want a break from other known big or chain bakeries, try Papillon!

The food is always fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced, which keeps us coming back. Some of our absolute favorites are the potato pirashki, cabbage pirashki, nacho cheese empanadas, and of course the custard and Nutella ponchiks--everything is always warm, flavorful, and perfectly made. Today my husband, who is very picky, decided to try their lahmajun for the first time. He loved it! It was crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. That was another win for Papillon. Definitely worth trying a variety of their recipes--you really can't go wrong here.

Such a good underrated spot for some drinks with their filipino-themed flavors and some teas!!! My…read morefriends and I decided to come here because of a really good deal and we were all saying that we should come here more often because of how good the drinks were. You can either order with the staff or order through the kiosk on the right side. You have an option to type on the text box if you need to change the milk to oat milk, for example. I always ask for just in case they do have oat milk so if you have any special requests, depending on how busy it is, might be better to talk to someone to order!!! The Tiger Tea was really delicious and was a good amount of sweet. The Mermaid drink was a fav from my group. I really liked the Milo and the Ube Milk teas. They were pretty quick with the orders so it's not too crowded inside of people waiting. It's very cozy inside and there's warm lighting and some books too for people to read. One thing to note: they open late--12:30 PM. Parking was easy, and there's a decent amount of seating inside. I happened to be the first customer of the day. Don't expect the warm, smiley Filipino hospitality right away--just head straight to the counter and place your order on the iPad. As for the halo-halo, it's definitely not your traditional version. It wasn't bad by any means, but it's quite different from the halo-halo I grew up with and the ones I enjoy whenever I visit Manila. If you're looking for a modern take on the classic dessert, you may appreciate it more than I did. Prices are pretty standard for Los Angeles, and they accept Apple Pay, which is always a plus.

Such a cute spot! This has become one of my favourite bakeries in LA. Compared to other bakeries,…read moreArtelice has really honed in on their French technique. I think I've tried half of the menu here lol. My go to is definitely the New York roll and the mango passion fruit cruffin. I love that they change their New York roll flavours often. What really stood out for me was how well balanced the flavours are in their fillings, especially in the New York roll and the cruffin. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

Luckily because it was a Sunday, we found parking right in from r of the store. From the outside and inside it truly has the Parisian patisserie vibe and feeling, which I love! Once we got inside, we were mesmerized by all the beautiful and delicious looking pastries and dessert options. I also love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We decided to sit inside, one because it was way too hot, and secondly there was this aggressive homeless man who threw a chair towards the glass window of the patisserie. That was scary! The girls working there were aware of this, because apparently he's done this a few times, where he's thrown their outdoor furniture around, so they called 911 immediately, so hopefully that won't be an issue for them in the future! Luckily no one was harmed and no glass was broken, and the psychotic man was far gone. My friend and I decided to get two different desserts. I got the pavlova, and which is one of my favorites. I love the creamy and crunch meringue and the combination of the tart berry filling inside. My friend loves peanuts, so she got the dessert that looked like a peanut, which she loved! The two girls working there were really sweet and offered us a free croissant as a compensation for the momentary chaos caused by the aggressive homeless man, which my friend and I truly appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience here, and I'd definitely come back to try some of their other desserts!
