There's a stunning amount of product showcased here, most of which you'll never see in the US. You can find The standard Strega bitter liquor at some specialty liquor stores in the US, but some research may be involved depending on where you live. It would seem the American appetite for herbaceous, bitter liquors just hasn't reached the level required for import distribution. I, however am a huge fan of such things and this store was a playground for me. Aside from the vast array of products, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. But what really makes this place special is the free samples. That's not a misprint. Free samples of several lines of Strega liquors including two varieties of Grappa--which I must say were fantastic. If you're unfamiliar with the stuff, here's the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with something new for your alcoholic fix.

It was absolutely delicious! We were pointed in the right direction of what we had sampled. As we were walking along, I received another sample that was a lemon chocolate about the size of two M&M's put together, and it had a tiny bit of lemoncello in it. So yummy. I have not been offered so many samples in my life, and I frequent Costco on the weekends. Not only were we able to try a variety of things (various chocolates, almonds coated with hazelnut/pistachio/caramel/limoncello, balsamic vinegar, oils, limoncello, various jams), they were actually amazing quality and that really sold themselves I would visit here just for the experience, not to mention the amazing service from everyone giving you samples. The store is also beautiful from the inside and bigger than it looks from outside. Needless to say, I would 100% go back to see what else I can try!

My mouth went in total shock once I tried 3 different pastries from here the crème that was used in these OMG! Worth the wait we went maybe 25 min before closing so the line was not that bad. This is a mozarella bar, and from our tours we learned about how they raise the cows in this region for this famed mozarella. Now I can't compare to other places here in Italy, but I was definitely pleased with what we ordered. We had the burrata. It was presented nicely on a plate with the Bufala mozarella in the center with accompanying anchovies, tomatoes and bread. I wasn't aware of the fish before ordering, but I gave it a go. Everything on the plate together balances out. Amaze-mozzarella-balls! Pair it with some vino and you have yourself a great snack!
