This shop was so much fun to visit! We walked through the door and immediately were offered a sample of some delicious chocolate in a small cookie/chocolate bite. It was absolutely delicious! We were pointed in the right direction of what we had sampled. As we were walking along, I received another sample that was a lemon chocolate about the size of two M&M's put together, and it had a tiny bit of lemoncello in it. So yummy. I visited Nino and friends in the Amalfi Coast (Anacapri) back at the end of Feb and it was a surprisingly memorable experience! I have not been offered so many samples in my life, and I frequent Costco on the weekends. Not only were we able to try a variety of things (various chocolates, almonds coated with hazelnut/pistachio/caramel/limoncello, balsamic vinegar, oils, limoncello, various jams), they were actually amazing quality and that really sold themselves I would visit here just for the experience, not to mention the amazing service from everyone giving you samples. The store is also beautiful from the inside and bigger than it looks from outside. Needless to say, I would 100% go back to see what else I can try! read more

The shop specializes in Italian treats and they generously offer free samples so you will try, love and buy! Those working here are enthusiastic and fun which is part of the experience. The tiered chocolate fountain in the window is a signature at all of their shops and definitely draws people in where they are warmly greeted and immediately offered samples. Limoncello is as much a part of the Amalfi coast as the sunshine and beautiful vistas. Here, they have both the regular limoncello and a limoncello cream that is sweeter. They also have a pistachio version and a melon version which is super intense and sweet. Other specialties are almonds coated in limoncell, cappuccino, pistachio or salted caramel. Shortbread cookies filled with, you guessed it, limoncello, pistachio or chocolate. Lots of high end olive oils and balsamic vinegars of various aging processes. gourmet pesto and truffle pesto offerings. And even some unique pasta shapes. Since I had already visited the shop in Sorrento which is much larger and carries even more food specialty items, I didn't purchase anything here but several of my friends did. If you regret not getting something or couldn't carry it home, you can order some items online and pay to ship. read more

We were recommended this location by our tour guide on our stop in Amalfi, and they did not disappoint. Not only did they have an assortment of snacks, drinks, and unique items, but the staff was very friendly. Almost as soon as we walked in, the staff began offering samples. I thought it would have been for maybe one or two items, but we sampled a good number of snacks and drinks. The shop itself is very clean and set up, despite the heavy tourist traffic. I highly recommend this little shop to anyone visiting Amalfi and wanting to try everything from limoncello to pistachio snacks and various spreads. read more

What's not to like, when this place located high up in Anacapri, hands out a slew of samples. For example they let you taste four different kinds of chocolates and you can go back and grab more and NOT feel ashamed, at least I didn't. Then I went to taste the 40yr old Balsamic Vinegar. Wow excellent. The pesto sauce, though not cheap, is the BEST. They have a Balsamic that is 100 years old going for €700. read more

Wow! Just Wow! I was a tad suspicious passing by this place as all the tourists were mobbing the counters. So this tourist wanted to see what all the stir was about. Everyone was trying free samples of all sort of stuff. Mostly candies (caramelle). Not just any candy mind you but handmade exceptional fare. Pistachio, hazelnut, walnut, lemon among other confections that would knock your socks off. For me unimaginable flavors. I tasted a pesto sauce with truffles that completely blew me away; like nothing I've ever had. There are many more items available. A truly high end shop. Of course the prices reflect the quality that you get so it's not as painful at the counter. If ever in Anacapri this is a MUST stop. read more

We were fortunate to stay a few steps from this incredible place which allowed us to stop by for some amazing samples and walk away with delicious gifts to take back home. If you happen to be around the Sorrento area, be sure to stop by Nino & Friends. Their shop is well lit and stocked with all sorts of olive oils, chocolates, cookies and biscuits, coffee, truffle sauces and more! And what's even better is that their employees will literally follow you around with samples for you to try! It's no wonder, though, because everything we tried was so freaking amazing that we nearly bought everything they fed us. No joke. They do have an online store but 1.) they don't carry all of their products online and 2.) there's a hefty shipping fee if shipping to the States. Omg...we LOVED Nino & Friends! Visited the Amalfi shop in early March, food and drink samples offered every time you took a single step...a little overwhelming, but everything was delicious and the staff were all so very nice! As we were flying with just carry-on bags, we were only able to purchase a few little things there to snack on; however, as soon as we returned to the States, we ordered online for shipment-olive oil, truffle sauces and limoncello candies for friends/family - that's how good it was! Shipping time was 3 weeks, but totally worth the wait. This is one of those places you discover on your travels that you will continue to order from for years to come...yes, they are that good!! read more
