I have had bricks that taste better than the patty melt here. This was the most god awful, gut wrenching, diabolically bad sandwich I have ever eating. I'm now waiting for my demise of the aftermath of that filthy, greasy mess. Beware to anyone entering into this extremely dirty restaurant, and prepare to pay the consequences. read more

The French Onion Soup is offered daily, I've had it several times and enjoyed it. Tonight it was way too salty. Perhaps because it featured salad croutons that come seasoned, perhaps because they use processed cheese squares, or it was the bottom of the soup pot with all the seasonings sitting in there. I can eat just about everything but not this. I sent word back to the kitchen about this, hope the cook heard about it. read more

Went in at 11:30 for lunch with a group of 14. The food was very good and all the orders were correct and came out of the kitchen together. Service was spot on and drinks refilled with out asking. Will return again. I love the variety of wraps on the menu. read more

I asked to have my wings crispy and they didint. I ordered fries and the waitress forgot them. The wings are small I will not return.

The food is great! Just classic diner/American food that tastes and looks great. The only issue we had is that we waited about 30 minutes for appetizers and then another hour for food. Usually I would be like "oh they're busy and short staffed I completely understand" but it was us (table of 4) and just two other tables who were getting food. Also just be careful because I got charged for Mayo they gave me without asking so just make sure to say you don't want any. Typical bar food- when in the mood for fried or a good burger, this is your place. The burger came with a mountain of French fries. The TVs in the bar are amazing and would be a great place for a football Sunday, for sure. They do have some craft beers- but the menu is in small print, tucked behind the bar. I think the food is very crazy here it's not anything extremely special or fancy but it's also definitely better than fast food!

We have been stopping after UNI football and basketball games for the last 10 years. Always had great food and great service. Tonight it took a long time before our server took our drink orders. Ordered our food and after a long wait and others that came in after us got their food, I asked our server about our order. She went to the kitchen and brought it right out. Everthing was luke warm and my sandwich that was ordered with everything on it had nothing on it. What ever the problem is, hope they fix it soon. read more

Last time I went the food was cold, my burger was a flavorless hockey puck (season your food people!!) and our waitress was no where to be seen except for when we ordered and got our food otherwise she was gone. Have been a long-time Zsavooz patron but just had a poor experience after the UNI Football game. Place was not full with several tables empty but it took forever to final have a server help us with our order. Once we had drinks and our order took over 45 minutes to get our food (after we had to ask server about our food), food came to us lukewarm and fried items cold can only think it was sitting under heatlamp so long. Not sure what the issues were but will think twice about going back. Very disappointing as we have always enjoyed the food and service over the last 5 years. read more

Stopped for dinner on a Tuesday night. First time here. Service was great, no complaints there. We were greeted right as we walked in. It was seat yourself and we easily found a seat for our party of 5. Our waitress was friendly, got our drinks right away, took our order and our food. Our food came out pretty quick. We had ordered a loaded taco with side of beans, children's chicken strips and fries, rueben and fries, two tenderloin meals. I had a tenderloin and fries. The fries were good. The tenderloin was huge. The size of two buns. It was a bit tough and chewy though. There are better tenderloins out there. I wouldn't order that again. The decor in the bar area is very dark. We sat in the adjacent room. It was better lit in there. Clean, but really simple, nothing worth remembering. Cost was comparable. With tip for 3 adults and two kids it was $60. I would try it again. But I would order another menu item. Again.. The service was good, no complaints there. read more

Zsavoos is one of my favorite sports bars to go to in town! The chipotle chicken wrap is my favorite, but I have never had anything bad when I try something new. They have good drink specials, and a great patio when it is nice out. Service is also very good. read more

I was in the area on business and staying at a nearby hotel. I was looking for a sports bar and this was the closest place. I sat at the bar and ordered a couple of appetizers. I had the fried pickles and they were good but the portion was extremely small. I also ordered the chicken wings and they were tasty. Not extra hot like I prefer them but they were good. I've been to this location a handful of times but their service has gone downhill the last few months. I asked the bartender if he could make me a drink and he gave me this look like I was the worst person ever. I asked for the manager and she was drunk, I know this because she was at the end of the bar drinking the whole time I was there. I notice the waitress sitting at the bar texting away on their phones ignoring the customers. This use to be a nice place to go but now it's just a dump. read more

Zsavooz is just a comfortable, friendly, neighborhood bar with impeccable service staff(Ryan,Steve, and Kassie), as well as tasty food selections. I frequent the bar regularly and enjoy the conversations and dabble in the beer and liqueur selections. My favorite is the Sunday Bloody Mary bar with a Stella chaser, but the bonus is ordering some buffalo wings or a healthy wrap for the road. Good hearty no nonsense food. I had the fried pork cutlet sandwhich. I would have preferred a fat thick piece of center cut port. What a great hang out! Friendly neighborhood style restaurant with great food and great service. They patiently waited for all 12 in my party to show up, rearranged the tables to accommodate us, and then waited hand and foot on us. Ordered the Philly. I got mushrooms with a couple small pieces of dried out beef. I sent it back and received an onion sandwich with a couple pieces of dried out beef and unmelted cheese on a sorry hoagie that most people would use for a hot dog bun of sorts. I could've made this sandwhich better at home if I used a can of my cats food mixed with a little bit of my dogs shit. read more
