Saturday night 6:00pm, busy but got seated right away. Waitress came soon after(Madison c.) and asked for drinks. Delivered drinks and took our food order. (Appetizer chips and dip, Calzone, wrap, lasagna with side soup). I got the feeling that maybe she was new because she didn't know how to answer some questions about some beer or certain sides and seemed a little frazzled. She took 2 of the 3 peoples orders, Then went to grab the menus from everyone. The third person reminded her She hadn't taken there order yet. appetizers took about 20 minutes to come out. She plopped them on the table without saying anything and left. Later she swung by our table and before asking grabbed the appetizer dish which was not done. We had to say we weren't done yet.. 6:50 We're beginning to think we were forgotten about. Waitress hadn't stopped by our table. Also found it weird we hadn't at least got our side of soup. We had watched tables around us get their food, eat, and leave. So, we asked another waitress about our food because our waitress had not stopped by our table to check in or apologize for the wait. 6:55 she dropped off the food. After she left the table we realized we had no silverware. Flagged her down. She brings some plops it on the table and takes off. We start eating, realized there is celery in the wrap, we asked for no celery. Have to flag her down. She says she'll have them remake it. Goes to another table for a couple minutes. later comes back and says they can remake it or give us 50% off the wrap. at this point we're just hungry. We've waited a solid 50+ minutes for our main course.. so we keep it and just pick out the celery. She doesn't once apologize for the mishap. Food was good. service was questionable. Maybe she was having an off night but if somebody's gotta wait 50+ minutes for their food and then the orders wrong I would think you would just comp the dish and also, an apology goes a long way. read more

We eat here every time we're in Cedar Falls so I don't know why I've not reviewed it before. It's a family favorite and we can always get quick seating even with groups of seven. I tried a burger this time but will go back to ordering the community pizza(s) next time. Beer selection is great! Lots of locals. After 15 minutes Andi cancels her coffee order. They can't seem to figure out how to make coffee. We are freezing by the outside wall. The pizza at Mulligan's has a great flavorful, thick sauce. The salads are a good size - big enough to split if ordering pizza or other menu items. Although the beer listing has the day's date on it- it was up to date. Several we asked about were out. Maybe the time of day. We sat in the bar environment. It was loud and fun, everything one seeks in a bar restaurant environment. The service was fantastic. We had a whole wheat pizza with mushrooms and jalapeños. It was crispy and delicious. The only slight negative is there was not a ton of toppings. read more

I recently ate at Mulligan's for the first time, which is crazy considering I am a UNI graduate. However, I never actually made it there while I was a student. My sister is now a server there, so I thought I better give it a shot while I'm in the area and I'm glad I did. Mulligan's has different seating options, from the dining room, to the bar, to the outdoor patio. If it is nice out, I recommend the patio. It faces the Cedar Prairie Trail and Dry Run Creek, which gives you a little bit of a view. They have a large menu, complete with a large selection of beer, including options from local breweries. Their menu (which you can view online) offers a little bit of everything that would please even the pickiest eater, however their brick oven pizzas are to die for. They have everything from your typical Margherita and Supreme to rule breakers like Mac n' Cheese, Shrimp Rangoon, and Thai Chicken. If none of that sounds delicious enough, you also have the option to build your own. I had the the Philadelphia and I think it has stolen a pizza my heart (...was that too cheesy?). Our "server" had no issue serving her friends who came in a good 5 minutes after us but not once did she ever even come by to take our drink order. We came here on a Saturday for lunch. Place was not all that busy, service was just ok. I thought about trying the bloody mary bar, but it didn't look all that great. This place is nothing fancy on the inside and they have plenty of tv's to watch any game. We came here quite hungry, so we each decided to go with a small speciality pizza. There was 3 of us and we had plenty of leftovers, could have split 2, but its nice to get a variety of pizzas. Mulligans is one of my favorite eats in Cedar Falls. They have amazing pizza and great sandwiches. And I'm not sure what they do to their fries, but they are delicious. Their menu includes items with fresh herbs and prosciutto, which is a definite favorite of mine. Plan on slow service, so don't be in a rush when you go there. It's very popular on the weekends, but I've never had to wait to long for a table if I even have to wait at all. I would say the food can be a 5 or a 1- very up and down. Service is usually poor to average. I 've never had a bad pizza there though. If u are looking for a bar with decent food- this might be it. Another place to come grab a pizza and watch sports in this area! Their brick oven style pizza is great. My favorite pizza to get is the margarita pizza. I haven't had anything else besides the pizza, and that seems like what people come here most for. It can get pretty busy at night and the service sometimes lacks. I'll go ahead and give them the one star as a nod to their strong selection of beers on tap. If you're simply going to drink and watch sports, then this is an ok stop. If you have any desire to eat quality food with even decent service, forget about it. I've eaten here 3 times and I will never eat here again. I'll just make a quick list of issues for reference: 1. Have yet to experience a server or bartender that could even pretend like they cared I was there. 2. Had a pizza order that wasn't made correctly, so the server took it back to get a new pizza. By the time we received the pizza, 40 minutes had passed (this was a small pizza) and the entire table had already finished eating. Had to box it up and take the whole thing to go. We also had to go to 3 people to finally get it taken off the bill. 3. The last trip resulted in 4 members of our party getting physically sick.
