Of course it took a while to get our drinks and to get our orders taken. Our food came rather quickly. We had an appetizer of truffle fries that was drowning in cheese. It was OK. I had a salad with a grilled chicken breast and an egg in it. It was very good. The ranch dressing was tasty. A friend had a bowl of their tomato basil soup and loved it. My husband, myself, my two boys + their spouses were at the restaurant, the manager had told my oldest son that we could not be seated until everyone was there! First: I have Levoscoliosis with muscle atropy, my 85 year old Father is in a nursing home (my sister picked him up which is quite difficult). I addressed the manager, asked him how long did he expect me to stand especially since the room we were going to use was already prepared! We got seated. I ordered the Caprese salad, it was served with vinegar of some kind but not the traditional drizzle. It was the worst Caprese salad I have ever had!

We sat there with no greeting, no water, nothing. We were actually about to leave and head to Culver's when the gentleman who seated us noticed we still hadn't been acknowledged. He immediately stepped in to help, got drinks started, apologized for the delay, and even offered us a complimentary appetizer because of the lack of service. The appetizer was great, and his kindness completely changed the tone of the experience. He ended up taking our order and delivering our food as well. His attentiveness and genuine care were superb. Unfortunately, the meal itself was disappointing. We usually order the Reuben but decided to try the 1850 chicken sandwich this time. It arrived barely warm, looked unappealing, and the chicken was quite dry. Honestly, I probably would have enjoyed Culver's more. That said, the gentleman who took care of us made all the difference. I wish I had gotten his name because he truly deserves recognition. I left nearly a 20% tip because of him and honestly wish I could have left more. You have an absolute gem working for you. We'll likely be back, though not quite as confidently next time. Hopefully this was just an off lunch.

We have only eaten there at lunchtime - with mixed reviews. The Philly Cheese Steak, Mediterranean Chicken Salad, Chicken O'Philly and Teriyaki Chicken were all given a thumbs up. Their tenderloin is pounded too thin for my preference - and it might have been commercially prepared- so they have no ability to adjust the thickness. The biggest disappointment was the hot beef sandwich. Boars Head sliced beef, instant mashed potatoes and canned gravy. Not a winner in our book. Service is fine, ambience is small town diner. Well lunch there again - just not the tenderloin or hot beef.

And it is a sports bar so there is a tv at every booth. I am slightly sad that their gluten free menu is under construction at the moment and no one could help me out because I wanted to try something new. But I have been here before so I just had to ask a few questions to the waitor. Joey was very helpful but seemed slightly overwhelmed when I started asking questions based on food allergies. It was also quite busy considering we walked in a little before 8pm on Saturday so maybe that was part of it. If you have never been upstairs I highly reccomend doing so. It is slightly quieter then the main floor and they do have a billard table if you enjoy that. I was however frustrated that the 2nd floor bathrooms were locked and I could not get help to get the bathroom unlocked. They have a seperate fryer, gf buns, and gf chicken wings. I love being able to find a place that has so many options. My sister and I had the chicken philly sandwich on a gluten free bun, no cheese or aioli because we are allergic to gluten and dairy. We both ordered our sandwiches with a side of fries. The bun was very dry, more so then usual. Normally it is flavorful and soft. It almost felt like they had left it out when they should not of.
