I have been to many amusement/family/water parks all over the nation, and this was the WORST experience I've ever had. This is particularly embarrassing as a Central Ohioan, as parks in different states and even in different areas of our state, do a significantly better job at guest satisfaction and creating a fun experience. My fiancé and I brought my two children and one of their friends. Allow me to set the scenario: last weekend of July, a BOGO ticket coupon in effect, and a beautiful, sunny, 80 degree Saturday. Needless to say, the place was packed. Despite knowing ALL of these facts going in however, the park was RIDICULOUSLY understaffed, and the staff who was there, cared next to nothing about the guests who were walking through. Examples: we waited 25 minutes on 2 hot dogs after we paid for them...HOT DOGS. One of the reasons was that ONE girl was working the line, taking people's orders, cashing them out, AND getting their orders together. I asked how long at one point and she said two minutes. Twenty minutes later I was still waiting. We were in line for the water slides. After one hour, we were only half way through the line. After watching how they clearly did not have enough tubes for everyone, and seeing that only one or two people were coming down the slides every five minutes or so, we left the line. At that point we had had enough and were going to leave. On the way out, we all wanted something to drink and my son wanted a soft pretzel. We placed our order, got our drinks, and then the boy working the counter asked if there was anything else. I reminded him I had ordered a pretzel. He disappeared behind a door for about five minutes, came back out with a bag of pretzels in his hand, and then went back to the register. I asked him AGAIN, "Excuse me, what about my pretzel?". He said it would be ANOTHER five minute wait. I said that I wasn't waiting and asked for my $4.00 back (yes that's right, $4.00 for a pretzel). He disappeared for ANOTHER 5 minutes, came back with I assume was a supervisor, who opened the register and handed me $4.00. No apology, in fact no apologies or attempts to make any of these situations better from anyone all day. Worst experience ever, I'll NEVER be back, and you can bet I'll tell as many people as I can about it. read more
