My new rescue went from anxiety ridden, scared of everything dog, to a confident girl. I was hesitant of using the collar at first, but it's not painful to the dogs, and they respond so well to it. He comes when called, sits, places, and we are still working on heel and down (because his human needs to be more confident - not because he isn't smart). Special shout out to Diana, who was extremely kind and patient with me. I needed more training than Cooper. ;) Diana is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, caring, and all around just great to work with! Highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training and now we are looking into So Fetch for future adventures! You will not be disappointed if you take your dog to Off Leash K9 Training for training. You and your dog will both benefit and your bond will be enhanced!

Our puppy was just under 1 year old when we sent her to Jonathan and I could not be more pleased with the results. I was wrong about sending her as now she is much calmer and actually listens to us sometimes. Well more often than not. Neither of us had any experience with owning and training a dog before so this was truly a Godsend. Zoey now listens to basic commands and Jonathan worked with both of us on how we need to do things with her so that we are consistent and this is how we get her to do the commands that she had learned. Continuing education is a part of the program and is included and we will be taking advantage of these classes as we continue to learn about the right way to train our dog. I highly recommend both Jonathan and the entire Dog Camp Training Staff but we are bias to Jonathan as he is the man.

She's only been home for a day but i can tell such a huge difference. She is less reactive, more respectful, and so open to commands and direction. Angie and Kersti were amazing with her and did everything i asked and more! They were so sweet and patient with her and were so knowledgeable of her breed and her needs. I got a report card and video at the end of her camp and both were very thorough. I also LOVED the constant posts and emails of how she was doing since i was missing her immensely!! When she came home both trainers spent almost two hours with us teaching us everything she learned and how to do some leash drills. I could see their level of care in every aspect of her training and i am absolutely thrilled!! I can't wait for group classes and for continuing education :))

After working with Kassondra for four weeks, Julep has shown tremendous improvement on her walks and has gotten more comfortable with meeting new people and dealing with loud/scary noises. During our training, Kassondra was extremely patient with Julep, who often takes a while to warm up to people. Kassondra was also very patient with me as I was learning the proper ways to handle Julep on a leash. In the past, I had dealt with trainers who were not as patient, so working with Kassondra was a breath of fresh air. After each lesson, Kassondra would send a write-up with homework, which was a great way to get an outline of our session and what I needed to work on in between trainings. Kassondra also helped us work through some of Julep's separation anxiety issues and gave us some great resources to use on addressing this anxiety. Kassondra is extremely knowledgeable on dog training and how to handle reactive dogs with high anxiety and fear of new people. When looking for a trainer I talked to several local businesses/trainers, but after speaking with Kassondra I knew she was the pawfect match and would give Julep the support she needed! I wish I had found her sooner!! If you are looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend contacting Kassondra as she has plenty of programs that can fit your dog's needs!

As an experienced teacher, I would hope that when a teacher feels disrespected by a member in the class, that she would speak to them privately after class to address the issue - not throw her hands up onto her hips, refusing to let the late class member and pup into the classroom until convinced by one of her assistant trainers. Also, the content in Jane's class is limited and repetitive.

Having worked at this facility I can tell you that all the dogs that come in for board and train…read moreare not trained by certified trainers. What is more disheartening is the owner who is certified to train isn't there most of the time. So she's allowing the inmates to run the asylum. The group classes are run half assed. One training class I audited the trainer and the clients sat the whole time! How do they think training is happening by sitting! And the trainer was pontificating about nothing and eating the the cheese that was meant for the dogs. There was no education of how dogs learn, how many times you use a dog's name or how many times you issue commands. The poor people are NOT getting their moneys worth. Dog training should be taught by Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPTD). Unfortunately the owner of this facility has decided money is more important than doing right by the people and their dogs!

I wanted an introductory training class that wasn't at PetSmart, so I tried it when Riley was about 16 weeks old. Riley and I did the 7-week Puppy Class (Positive Socialization and Introduction to Basic Manners) with Christie. There were four puppies total in the class, so I loved the attention we each received in our hour. Christie is a great trainer. She is very knowledgable and helped me get a new harness to walk Riley that would allow me to control her more. Of course, she is patient with the pups (and the humans). I wanted to continue bringing Riley to classes there (Puppy Agility, and Canine Good Citizen), but (1) you cannot miss a class and as the summer came, that became hard to schedule, (2) I moved to Durham, so I was no longer close to Capital Blvd., and (3) I started law school. I would recommend Teamworks to anyone. I attribute Riley's good manners and attention skills to her solid base training. I also gained confidence by training her, which was good!

This is to rate grooming only. Having been a poodle dad for 8 years, this is not my first…read moreexperience with a groomer. I typically groom my own fur daughter, as the wait in our previous city could be in excess of three months wait time. The groomer did a normal shave down with poofing her head and tail. Nothing special. Her ears were also shaved off. Typically groomers can work out the curls on the ears as our girl has extremely curly fur that often gets tangled. A fifty dollar extra charge for "de-matting" was interesting as she shaved our dog down. Shaving doesn't require de-matting. I could do the same cut at home and often poodle owners shave their dogs down, no "de-matting" necessary. Lastly, the groomer mentioned her inner ears needing to be cut or plucked because they can cause issues. First time I've ever had a groomer mention this. Noted, no vet ever mentioned this being an issue. So, we asked our vet, and they stated that if a dog isn't having issues, then it's best to leave the inner ears alone, as it can cause issues from groomers cutting or plucking their ears. $233.64 dollar charge for this grooming in a little town called Wake Forest. Atlanta and Dallas did a better job and charged less for a superior groom. Needless to say, I will not be going back for grooming here.

I could not walk him on the street or put him in the car without him being a nervous wreck. The whisper training focuses on the relationship. No treats or corrective collars or leashes of any sort are used or needed. It does take commitment and consistency from the human. Steve is equally committed to making sure that you and your dog continue to progress. We just went to the American Tobacco Trail on a Saturday. Very crowded parking lot, runners, walkers, cyclists, etc and while it wasn't perfect yet - I could not believe how well we did given where we started! I would recommend Steve to anyone who wants to have a positive relationship with their dog over the long term as opposed to short term gains using other methods.

When I contacted Steve by his website, he called me the same day. He was so helpful during our phone conversation. We talked right at an hour and that is just something you won't find! I couldn't believe all the time he took, just over the phone. Not only did he ask questions, but he gave some advice as well. Steve made me feel comfortable and he came across as very friendly on the phone. He was not the least bit pushy about coming out or setting up a session. No pressure at all. He came out, met me and my Beagle and went above and beyond for us. He not only got to know me and my Beagle and the situation, but he explained so many things that I would have never known about dogs and their behavior. During our session, he was so patient with me and my Beagle. My Beagle did better at taking instruction than I did and when I was confused or had to ask Steve to tell me something again, he never once came across as frustrated or impatient with me. He never made me feel like I was an idiot. He simply re-explained things to me. He is incredibly patient, kind, professional, knowledgeable and nice! I learned a lot during our session and he even told me to call him anytime I had any questions. He is an asset to the dog training community and I look forward to implementing what he taught me. I can't thank him enough. If you're in need of a professional dog trainer, look no further than The Raleigh Dog Trainer.
