Short version: she's amazing with dogs and very quickly got my two out of control dogs under control. She's honorable, professional and provides great value. If you are considering retaining her, do it! Just look at the pictures of my happy dogs. That's all you need to know. Long version: I have worked with Noelle since about March and since that time have come to rely on her for all things dog related. I hired her initially for the intensive dog training, still rely on her for weekly training sessions, and have used her for "house sitting" the dogs when I travel. I recommend all three services as highly as you can recommend anything. Let me explain. On Super Bowl Sunday, 2014, I rescued two French Bulldogs and named them Zeus and Apollo. You may recall these are the names of the exceptionally well behaved Dobermans from Magnum PI. Well, my lads were far from that. They had been smuggled inform Russia and then detained at a farm in 29 Palms with dozens of other dogs. They were about 6 months old, had no potty training and were constantly fighting. They wouldn't sleep or go in their crates. They went to the bathroom in the house it seemed like every 15 minutes. They refused to walk on a leash. After a month, I was sleepless, frustrated and about to quit. Enter Noelle! Within 2 days, they were sleeping in their crates the entire night. They were on the path to be potty trained. She came in for an intensive program (6 hours per day for 10 days or so), but got the dogs under control so quickly that she didn't need to stay for the whole time. So, she graciously agreed to a longer term training program, which we continue to this day. Not only did she train the dogs, she helped me understand how to bring out the best in my dogs. She provided detailed instructions and helped me become a better dog manager. The dogs went from being neurotic monsters to two of the most friendly dogs you can imagine. They are incredibly friendly, great around kids and just love other dogs. If you want further information, please feel free to reach out and I can give you more information about what a blessing Noelle has been. Tomasulo.michael@gmail.com

I bought a personal training package from Instinct and the trainer came to my home to train my dog and me. It was such a good decision. Both May and I really liked working with the trainer Lauren S. Her approach and tone were awesome. I knew from the first appointment with her that it was going to be great. I'd been trying to figure out how to get May to sit for weeks. Lauren got her sitting in a session. All in all I think we had 9 sessions with Lauren. In that time we learned a lot and have been applying it. My relationship with my dog is so much better because of Instinct. The thing I will caution people against is having unrealistic expectations of your dog and the trainer. If you go in with the desire to make your dog a unquestioningly obedient robot then you will be disappointed. Just focus on the over all quality and happiness of your dog's life

We were even sent an hour long questionnaire about our dog's history/health/behavior/etc. prior to training. Y'all...they care so much! We have a 1 year old rescue pup who's dog reactive, and we've been pretty much unable to take him on walks or near other dogs at all. Jenna helped us overcome all of this and we could not be more grateful. She coached us on how to slowly warm him up to lots of different scenarios- we even had a playdate with another dog today with no issues! His reactivity will be something we'll continue to work on for months, but I can't tell you how relieved we are to have gained some confidence with it. Jenna really helped put things into perspective and helped us understand how to read our dog and take things at his pace. You really can't rush progress like this, and I love that Instinct doesn't promise "quick, fast, easy results" because those are not effective or even possible. We would absolutely do this again if given the chance, booking with Instinct was a game changer.

Our pup was…read moreprobably no different than any other pup but my lack of experience with raising dogs led to daily frustration and mental breakdowns. I started seriously questioning returning our puppy because I had ZERO left in me to tolerate her. To make a long story short, we researched dog trainers and were impressed with the amount of positive reviews we read on The Dog Wizard and decided to give the private training sessions a shot. Tate was our trainer and he was heaven sent. I appreciated how he took the time to listen to our individual problems with our pup and never once made me feel like the most clueless dog owner (which I can admit to being at one point). In our sessions I learned an immense amount about how my puppy was interpreting my actions and different methods to try on her. Our sessions were part education and part action. We would apply the newly learned method with the pup until it clicked. Getting a dog trainer does not mean that you are off the hook after he/she leaves. The only way to get your the training methods to stick are to continue to practice them every day. It's a great way to hold you accountable until the next session. I couldn't have been happier with the level of knowledge and accommodation Tate provided us with. If you're even slightly thinking about hiring the Dog Wizard, I can promise you that you and your sanity will not regret it.

Then, I had applied to meet her for adoption & met her, & took her home never looking back. This sweet girl had some tough knocks and behavior issues to go along with them. I enrolled her in a 6 week program with Mighty Dog Services. The team was patient and worked with her throughout the training. Her fear of other dogs, barking at people, pulling on leash walking, nervous pacing, separation anxiety all were resolved. She's a a happy camper that knows what I ask her do, she does it and happily takes praise and treats- and lots of love. They helped this dog overcome a rough past so she can trust and enjoy what she has now. She and I both are extremely thankful for the folks at Mighty Dog Services in Portland TN. They work with all breeds, ages and issues. They truly treat each as an individual and unlock all the potential the dog has to offer. As a dog mom- just as a mom of children. I would rather not fuss at my dog for behavior issues- I just want to love and enjoy them. Its possible , I promise give them a call.
