Fun kids climbing gym

This is a really nice shopping and dining area. It's was just a few exits from the Kansas City airport hotel so I was able to take hotel transportation to and from. Big stores like Dicks sporting good for all your KC needs. Local shops as well. A good mix of locally owned and operated restaurants and chain restaurants. There is a super cute little playground for the kiddos and a play fountains for them to be delighted with.

Great place for shopping, eating and hanging out while enjoying the outdoors. However, I drove north to Zona Rosa to see the Emmersive Vincent Van Gogh art installation. Overall, we did not enjoy the Emmersiveness of the art of Van Gogh. First of all, it was way to cold in there. Secondly, we thought it was overhyped especially for the price. Overall, we won't be going back and I would not recommend going because it was just an animated video that had a few photos in it. It was very disappointing!

First trip to Kansas City, and we had some to spare before we boarded our plane. I found a cute shopping center about 9mins from the airport it was cute . I recommend the 54th street and the vintage toy shop. Ill do a separate review on both but , definitely worth spending your time there every store had a great customer service and value.

My favorite spot in the northland. Has an amazing little green area with a playground and fountains. Nice shade, and outdoor seating. Bathrooms are in the grove. Check out their fb page for local events.

Nice shopping area (and I don't even like shopping!). Altar'd State, Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, Francesca's, Bath & Body, build a bear, Cold Stone. Some stores have good sales, but a lot smaller scale than what I'm used to. The layout I'd nice, but I question that when it's really hot out, icy, or for those that have trouble walking long distances. Also, it is kind of a scam to have to pay for parking every time you stop by. They also have concerts in the plaza on Friday nights

Nice place for shopping and hanging out with family Always packed during week ends

I remember before this outdoor shopping center was built and Barry & 1-29 was nice and open. Zona sits in a convenient location (for me) but can be a bear to get through during the holidays. Traffic backup snafu hell! Thankfully the holidays (and by holidays I specifically mean Christmas) only comes once a year. Otherwise, convenient places that I personally go to: Dicks Sporting Goods, GapKids, BDubs, CVS plus a few other regulars. The building housing the Marshall's Mega Store at the west side of Zona features a kid friendly play area downstairs. The ONLY fast food option downstairs attached is Subway. They tend to be skimpy on their toppings and charge $1 for a refill! Warning! The restaurants in Zona are a decent selection. Some I haven't set foot in for years. Those are reviews separately from Zona! During nice weather, it can be a pleasant place to wander, shop and enjoy some patio dining occasionally.

It's really hard for me to hate Zona Rosa even if looks like a giant chunk of Disney puke that missed Anaheim somehow. Consider the god-awful commercial "district" around 29/Barry and it practically makes ZR look like a godsend. ZRo is walkable from end to end and you could probably cover more miles here than the Plaza proper. It's just a newer, hokier, cheaper version of the Plaza-- something welcome to the scatterbrained development around the Northland. As for the tenants...hmm...not much to see here. It's your typical mall fare from top to bottom-- no surprises. Phase II holds some promise, but the retail economy will probably have to recover before we see anything special. Most everything is aimed at teens and moms which is to be expected considering the surrounding neighborhoods. I will say there are number of decent local restaurants not usually found in shopping malls (bo lings, smokehouse bbq, hereford house, swagat). Time will tell if ZR becomes a true KC staple or fizzles if the outdoor shopping centers start to cool. I still prefer ZR's geeked out Disney environment any day over the boxy, boring Oak Park or Independence Centers of the world.

0/10 recommend. They hairstylist Maya was kind and took her time with me and she is not at fault…read morehere. However, the communication of the salon is so poor. I was told one price several times, and show up to be told its actually 40-50 dollars more. I chopped it up to one bad error, but decided to give them another chance. The next time I went in, they did it AGAIN. They bait and switched me completely blindsiding me while trying to trap me into paying an additional $50-60 dollars (on top of the original $40-50 dollar increase). The manager Katrice is a horrible manager for these crazy upcharges IN THE MOMENT without ANY warning and she has zero compassion. During this appointment, she was gaslighting saying the confusion is MY fault when SHE was the one that booked it for me and did not say anything that I couldn't actually do the services the way that SHE booked them (which mind you, I had her book it the way they had told me to do the PREVIOUS time I was there to avoid any confusion). Then she said if she were to do it that I would be putting her job at risk, even though SHE put herself in that situation. She even said that she cannot make and exception because "she already did last time" which is a huge joke because no exception was made and I DID pay for the services provided. If they had made an exception, then they wouldve comped something to match was i was initally anticipating! BUT NO!!! I sucked it up and paid it because I needed that service and I was trying to assume positive intent that it was truly a mistake. But this time, there was ZERO positive intent, no communication, and once again no "exceptions." All I did was show up to the appointment that I booked through THE MANAGER, and then she tried to con me into paying $50-60 more and made it out to be my fault when she is at fault for not communicating for a SECOND time in back to back appointments with me. How does something like this happen twice??! keep in mind she did not tell me of the "miscommunication" until 35 minutes AFTER my appointment was supposed to have started. I was already in the chair with the gown on, and my hair clipped up. Maya was about to start mixing the color when Katrice came over with her cruel surpises. She then was telling me that this is what corporate has told her to do. So i asked her when she found out of the mistake and she told me 48 hours PRIOR to my appointment! When I asked her why she didn't call me to let me know before so I could prepare, she told me it was her day off. If you are a manager, and you KNOW this is going to be a problem, how DARE you put your customer in a situation as outrageous as this. I am an understanding person, but for this to happen twice and go up exponentially each time is just ridiculous, then to be blindsided in the moment was completely ill-intentioned. All I asked for was appropriate communication. I even booked the appointment WITH her and she still was saying I'm the one at fault. If this happened to me several times, I 'm sure she is bait and switching other clients (which is ILLEGAL by the way). I have never felt so disrespected back to back by a business. It was so cruel that Maya tried to stand up for me and pleaded with her manager to let her color my hair and that this wasn't fair. Maya gave me a brief hug goodbye and I stormed out. If this was at all something that was fair, or that I was in the wrong for, then I think the way my hairstylist stood up for me shows it was in fact Katrice who was the real piece of work here. This is no way to run a business, and I will sway anybody who tries to go here because of her. I am appalled. Please have anyone higher than her reach out to me if you would like to know how all of this went down in detail. I'm happy to speak to you about this disgusting business practice.

BEWARE of "Custom Window Treatments from JCPenney"! I…read moreordered 19 custom plantation shutters for my home. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks for them to be built. It took 4 months for the shutters to arrive. All 19 shutters were delivered to my garage on 2 palettes. I was asked to help the delivery driver get the 2 palettes in to my garage. After about 1/2 of the shutters were installed, I realized that they were not what I had ordered. I ordered shutters that opened from the center, and they sent shutters that opened from the side in an accordion style. I tried to contact the lady who I worked with to order the shutters, and I have not received a return call. At this point I assume that I am stuck with 19 shutters that are not what I ordered, or a style that I wanted.
