I want to start by saying I really enjoy shopping at this Target location. The store is clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate. That said, checkout continues to be a consistent challenge. During my visit this morning (March 21), the self-checkout area was clearly backed up, with several people waiting in line. At the same time, there was only one traditional checkout lane open with a cashier. While there was an employee overseeing self-checkout and helping when issues came up, it didn't appear there was any effort to open an additional staffed lane as the line grew. This seems to be a recurring issue at this location. If staffing limits the number of cashier lanes that can be open, it may be worth expanding the number of self-checkout stations to better handle peak times. Otherwise, adding support at the front end when lines build would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I enjoy shopping here and will continue to come back, but I hope this is an area that can be improved. read more

Came here on a last minute run for booze during the Super Bowl. The store was completely empty and fully stocked. I must say I was impressed with their selection on wine coolers. I came in for water and 1 pack and ended up leaving with 3 total. If you're looking for some nice inexpensive flowers come here, great selection. read more

My wife has said before she was profiled while using self checkout. Continuously watched like hawk. This evening we were together and the same associate continued her behavior. Tonight for the first time ever, our receipt was checked for our purchases before leaving the store. It's a shame you can spend hard earned money almost every week at the same store. Just to be treated as criminals. read more

i come here often, but yesterday i came and had to wait a while for someone to see us and come help us at the returns and exchange. then she was talking about other customers to us, and calling one a loser. then proceeded to explain to us why this random man is a loser (we didn't care) we nodded and smiled and left. it was a weird interaction. read more

Well stocked Target store in a convenient location and easy to navigate through. A wide selection of things you may need at Target pricing.

My go to for all the family needs. My daughter thinks I am addicted to the clearance section. Does anybody else have this Target problem? read more

Target - On a mission for chocolate milk! - Department Stores Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

Target, you always get me with your deals. I've missed shopping here, and recently needed some personal items and came to Target for the price and varied stock. I picked up a small carry basket to help me keep my purchases in check if you know what I mean, wink, wink. I'd like to say first that i was able to use my Target circle app, I sometimes run into issues with it, and even scored a gift card for the $20 in personal items I purchased. I didnt look at the clothing section only because it can get a bit out of hand with some unneeded purchases that I truly do not need. After another successful shopping trip I checked out at self check out, always the best option for me, always. I must mention the helpfulness and friendliness of the self checkout gal, that for me is a definite plus and worth a mention. read more

Most employees don't know anything they sell in the store. No one answers the phone. Seems like a failing business.

Shopped for my last time at Target tonight. Stopped in at the location at 9040 N Skyview in Kansas City, Mo to pick up my usual resupply of groceries at the same time I normally stop in (9:30 pm). One of the employees told me check outs were already closed and only self checkout was open. I told her she could keep their groceries then and left my full cart sitting there. I'm not one of your employees and refuse to check myself out while paying the same price for the goods you sell. If you're so cheap you can't keep at least one check out open you don't deserve my business. I can buy what I need and check myself out online without ever leaving the house. read more

I was in this Target yesterday. It was clean and well organized. The new layout is bright and cheery! The employees were friendly and helpful. The line was long but it moved really fast! read more

This Target is clean, organized and the employees are very helpful. I wish it was a Super Target and carried more grocery items though. It would be great to have a one stop shop close to us thAt I could get mY groceries and household essentials at the same time. They have a smaller selection of grocery items here compared to Super Targets in the area. I like that they have an ample amount of parking and also the drive up order parking is very nice and makes it convenient for when you don't want to go inside the store. The only downside is that they don't offer cold or frozen items for pickup at this location and I believe that is because they don't have a refrigerated section in their customer service to do so. They also have a Starbucks inside which is nice when you need a pick me up while shopping. The staff at Starbucks is friendly and they alWays have the limited flavors in stock longer than other locations nearby. read more

This Target is my favorite, maybe because it's the closest one to us! But it's always clean and the employees are always nice. The only down side is sometimes the merchandise is picked over. read more

Target - Target front view - Department Stores Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

Dang you Target. Dang you. Because of your store and your close proximity, I find myself here almost daily now. Need milk? Target run! Need a box of pens, vacuum filters, clothes hangers, soup, bread? Just a few of my purchases on my last visit...yesterday. I usually, on average, make a twice yearly visit to Walmart just around the corner because of some specific need. Other than that I fiercely avoid Walmart like the Plague. I will gladly pay 20 cents more for the same item at Target just to avoid Walmart. Target is a thousand times cleaner, a thousand times more organized and has a thousand percent friendlier staff. I know that's a bit of a stretch, but I just enjoy Target that much better. Now that they've added the small produce and frozen foods section, I find myself avoiding the grocery store more and more often. And believe it or not, the prices can actually be lower on some grocery store items. Example: Prego sauce at grocery store ($2.29) versus same item at Target ($1.89) and Oroweat Potato Bread at grocery store ($3.39) versus Target for $1.99! The checkers have been there for a long time and it seems turnover isn't too bad. They are very helpful and friendly and I usually strike up a convo each time I'm there. Can't go wrong with this location. read more

Just an average target it's around Christmas so everything was in disarray but service was good and nothing special about this target but the employees are very nice and the bathroom is clean and the girl working the counter selling the popcorn was really nice A lot of parking was available and we didn't have to wait in line because there was enough stuff opens read more

Love Target! They have a cute grocery section now. Its not that big. Its not a Hy-vee people and not a Super Target. Everything is really nice and organized and reasonably priced. They have some good sales too! Totally wish they were open later! But sometimes being open 24 hrs isnt a good thing. I always shop here unless I cant find something certain then I will go somewhere else. read more

Why am I always here?? I find myself going on drives with the purpose to be somewhere else and I find myself at this Target. I love this place. It's my go-to relaxing getaway. There isn't a Target I don't love, however this one is becoming the first. I don't know what has happened in the last year but this Target is going down hill. The clothes section is always a wreck, clothes hanging off the hanger, thrown in the floor, shelves unorganized. Don't get me started on the entire shoe section! Here the last 6 months or so the selection is slim pickings. It always appears as if they are waiting for a shipment or something because the lack of merchandise stocked especially in the kids clothing. Overall this Target give me Burlington Coat factor vibes lately. I'm not sure if they need new management or why this one is such a mess. Until it gets figured out I would suggest driving to the one on Barry Rd. read more

Being a customer at Target I have always gotten great service, and prices have always been fair. Being an ex employee, the management is awful. Target vs Wally World...Target wins every time. The quality should be evident when you see most stores have a Starbucks, and everyone loves Starbucks. I'm very surprised to be writing this review because I usually don't like department stores. But, we really can't avoid having to shop in department stores so you end up having opinions about them. I'm writing this because I really like this Target. The main reason is because they're very friendly here. I'm so tired of poor customer service. This Target, specifically, is great. My very first visit there a young man helped me in the cell phone area and I was just browsing but ended up buying a phone because he knew so much and helped me make a decision. Plus, he pointed out the phone I decided I liked was on sale. I really like the phone I bought and I will always remember how helpful he was. I even went back another time to tell him in person how happy I was with his help and that I love my phone but he was busy helping others. He's so helpful! :-) I highly recommend going to this Target store if you're in need of a pleasurable shopping experience. It's a nice store and you'll find just about everything you need there. Give it a try. read more

Never had an issue with anything at this particular Target store. The employees and management have always gone out of their way to accommodate me and help out any way possible. Recently on while shopping for a baby gift for some friends I was unable to locate the item I was looking for. I notice though a lot of employees circling around me keeping an eye on me. Which I thought was odd. I flagged one of the employees down and started chatting him up. Then I noticed all of the other employees vanished and no one else was around me anyone more. LMAO. So the. I knew what was up. I was in the baby monitor aisle looking at high dollar $150 and up baby monitors and I guess they had some high dollar Owl one sitting out on the shelf without a spider wrap on it. They were eyeing me, but when I engaged employee I suddenly was no longer interesting as a suspect. Apparently they have a baby monitor thief at the northland Target stores. However, the employee was able to locate a store that had an ample supply of the particular monitor that I was looking for. However, he also agreed since they were having that issue to find an comparable one and he'd mark it down. That was a nice gesture but since it was a gift and I don't know anything about baby monitors I couldn't even begin to compare them. I do wish though they were more diligent about restocking the gift card kiosk at this location they are constantly out of most gift cards here. I do like to buy gift for restaurant here with my red card and then pay it off in full right after that. read more

This Target is super clean, and my go to. Staff is friendly and the carts are in good condition.

I really enjoy this Super Target. The people are friendly and helpful and I don't have to search much to find an employee when I need one. - Store is very clean but at the very front is a 'dollar' section which is always picked over and messy. I've never found anything in this section of use, and really is the only part of the store that looks Un-Target-ish. - The noise level is quite low. Unlike Walmart's loud speaker, all of Target's employees have walky-talkies. This small thing alone make for a much more enjoyable and calming shopping experience. - The store always seems to have enough cash registers open so I don't have to wait long in line (no more than a few minutes at most). What is better is when there is a rush, they open more registers. - Store seems to be fairly organized but a few things seem odd to me. For example when walking to the back down the main aisle, baby toys are on either side. I wish they had more useful item in that area. A plastic stack toy is not hot on my list, but batteries, trash bags, and cleaning supplies are. - All Targets seem to have most of the things I'm looking for and at prices I feel comfortable paying. Target has cut down on their automotive, camping, and hardware sections so I don't bother going there for those items. For example, rainy day and need new wipers? Go to Walmart instead. - One last thing... I don't know why, but this store has a crazy huge toy department. read more

Today I tried to buy 10 Glade candles, that were promoted as buy 5 get a $5 gift card. They did not ring up as advertised, and the manager on duty said they weren't the right candles. I went back to the aisle, and the sign was clipped immediately on the shelf of the candles. When I brought the sign to the mgr, he said that it wasn't for the candles, it was for something adjacent. He said that Glade scented candles are not considered an air care product, only sprays were air care. So then I went to the bulletin board where the ad was posted, and lo and behold there was a photo of the exact candles I was trying to purchase, with the note that all Glade air care products $2.97 and above qualify. My candles were $2.99. The same manager then told me that the photo of the candle was actually a much larger candle that was around $5. The description in the ad specifically said Glade air care (which includes scented candles) $2.97 and above. This manager was extremely rude to me, and made no effort to investigate my issue. It was obvious to me that there was an error in the register, and the mgr on duty really didn't care about honoring the advertised promotion. I shop Target quite frequently, and have never had such rude uncaring service. I actually love shopping at Target, for but the level of service I received today I might as well shop at Wal-Mart. read more
