This place is the perfectly curated shop filled with cool KC graphic tees, Chief goods and cool vintage clothing and Knick knacks. It's more catered to men but I can see some of the clothing being unisex. If you're a fan of the sporty vintage look this place is for you. I think anyone who appreciates fashion will enjoy this place whether you are looking for a gift or shopping for yourself. The aesthetics are a 10/10.

Adorable little shop in a fantastic part of historic KC! T-shirt selection is just amazing! Great place to find a unique shirt to support the Chiefs or Royals! Things are a bit overpriced but still fun to look at! Some cool memorabilia from KU here and there around the store - been in a few times - looking forward to our next visit!

That's a collection!

I'm not sure which is more cool; the merchandise for sale or the vintage paraphernalia decorating this place. As a amateur license plate collector I was immediately blown away by the 1 thru 100 Kansas plate collection upon entering. Westside Storey is the retail embodiment of the new Kansas City with hip tee's and socks; art prints of all things Missouri and Kansas, political and sports swag, even candles and coasters. I was too overwhelmed and over budget to actually buy anything my 1st trip but will be returning to probably wipe out my Christmas shopping in one location.

Great displays with lots of intrigue.

Adorable! This store is just so freaking cute. They've curated antiques with KC merch throughout the store and offer the perfect gift if you're visiting and want to take something home or if you live in KC and want to show your KC pride with some cute pins, stickers, Ts, hats, socks and other goodies. The man manning the store was so nice and grateful that we loved just stopping in.

~Wayfarer review~ T shirt theory: Cool people make cool t shirts, local pride implies that they are not trying to be some other city or something they are not, and great cotton implies comfortable/chill living. Sooooo whether I like a city, or not, is directly related to the t-shirts local shops sell. Not the stiff, boxy, tacky type t shirts like at the airport. I am talking the soft "I want to live in this cotton" type shirt with something unique to said city printed on it. This store is practically filled with just that. Awesome everyday wearing tees! There are shirts with local athletes, local colleges, KC, Made in KC onsies, Westside, and KC Loyalty tees. All are printed on premium cotton that feels and fits great! All are around $32 each. They also have a great sock collection, some antiques, jewelry, and other cool stuff. Awesome local merch in a cool neighborhood where locals and tourists can walk out with some good finds.

Nifty little wallet to carry my essential cards. Good quality leather + I like the minimalist design and function.

Love, love Westside Storey. An array of local products offered here that brings a touch of modernity and vintage in one shop. I think that's one of my favorite things about this store. There's lots to attract one's eye, from shirts to soaps, to spices! The items here tend to be a little pricey, but that's how they'll all be wherever you find these local vendors. Overall, the store is pretty chill--workers included. Everyone just kind of leaves you alone to do your own exploring, which is what I prefer. When you do have a question, the staff is very helpful and genuine. They don't try to sell you on the products unless they truly believe in it. Westside Storey attracts all types of people, and it's because they have so many things that cater to everyone. Great store for gift giving, either to someone or to yourself :)! It's definitely a go-to store, and in a beautiful neighborhood.

There was no confirmation of order, no follow up on the 8 attempts to reach them and it arrived 2-1/2 weeks later. The shoes I paid full price for (and pricey) do not fit and now they won't respond to the literally 8 times (email and phone) I have reached out about the return and the window of 5 days to refund them has expired. I am shocked that in this day and age if you are selling online that you consider the sale closed after it ships and simply ignore your customers. Now I am stuck with shoes I can never wear. BTW I never leave bad reviews. I am a person who goes out of my way to compliment places. But in this case I simply have given up. This is their opening weekend and due to my having to drive there in the middle of the day, I was only able to pursue the latter. That's OK, because the latter was being offered in abundance AND what's more, it was all discounted due to opening weekend! Even a wine & spirits enthusiast like Yours, Truly, will take a good sale over a drink any day of the week. The store is sectioned according to each boutique (the store is a collective). Focus seems to be on indie designers. There is a wicked jean selection, and a variety of clothing styles to suit every taste, including my own, which I might add, is quite picky. I especially appreciated the super cute coat and jackets they have right now (to the right as you enter the store) and the studded purses and bunches of blingy costume jewelry and other accessories artfully strewn about the store. I should also add that the ambiance of the store lends itself very well to shopping, drinking and socializing. I LOVE the fashion plate murals on the wall and unique mannequins. Ceilings are super high and the vibe is that of an exclusive, trendy boutique, yet the staff are all extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I couldn't help but think if this store, which has the vibe of a Soho boutique, actually had to exist in Soho, well, let's just say it wouldn't be possible to find an outfit that didn't set us back a paycheck or two (that's not to say I WOULDN'T be inspired to lose a paycheck here). Like I said, I didn't drink from the bar (oh, I was tempted!), but I am looking forward to going back when I have an escort, perhaps on an evening when there is an event going on (they are going to have DJ events according to the website). By the way, there are opening weekend drink specials tomorrow: complimentary mimosas and bloody marys! Alas, I have prior engagements. But I'll be back, Garment District.

It checks all the boxes: Locally owned? Yep, Kansas City ownership all the way. Made in KC? Yes, not a ton of clothing made in KC except for all the billions of screen-printers, but those are usually on outsourced tees. Sustainable? Yep. Made from bamboo, the fastest growing plant. Quality? 100%, these are meant to last. Altruistic? Very, and let me explain: I didn't realize this, but after going into MADI they explained that underwear is the most needed, yet most under-donated item in the US. That's for places like domestic shelters, in disaster relief scenarios around the world, for sexual assault victims in crisis centers, and on and on. Now get this: For every intimate you buy at MADI, they donate a pair of underwear. That's pretty badass, and they are sincerely helping out in the world in so many ways. You can buy from their website, but if you're in KC you can pop into the fun little shop around the other shops and restaurants on the hill in the Westside, and I highly recommend you do -- and gents, this makes for a great surprise gift for the Ms./Mrs.

A shawl/sari/wrap rounded out my purchases, a beautiful deep wine color that I wore the next day at work! The service was incredibly friendly and warm, explaining their mission and drive to provide undergarments to women in need. All in all a great visit, I'd love to see an SF or Berkeley location!

There are a ton of windows and thus natural light, and it's a clean and airy space that is a pleasure to be in. The merchandise is rather limited but well curated, and a number of other local brands are represented. Off the top of my head I can recall seeing products from local businesses Owl + Mouse, Sandlot Goods and Vintage Edison. This is, of course in addition to a full line of Normal Human's t-shirts for man, woman and child. They're brand new, in fact I don't think they even had a sign when I visited.
