Brownie dessert
Alfredo E.

The restaurant is well located in one of Inverness Main Streets. They prefer for customers to make reservations but in reality, is not that kind of restaurant. We got at the door, and they asked us to make a reservation for 20 min later and then come back. Weird.... But we complied. Once back... we were served quickly and the server and rest of the staff were friendly. Regarding the menu, this is a pizza place with an extensive menu. So, the pizza seems to be good, but the rest of the food is average. We order spaghetti bolognese and wagyu meatballs pasta. Both were average. Please do not order cocktails (expensive and tasteless). We concluded that they add only minimal amount of alcohol. They don't serve cocktails, they serve "mocktails" instead. The dessert menu is extensive but the size of the servings are very small. We waited 20 min for the chicken to be brought to the table. Not clear why. In summary: if you have no other choices to eat while visiting Inverness, then eat here. Otherwise, this is not the best place. Mid quality food, high prices and average service. The only outstanding element is the view that helps in creating a nice ambiance.

You need to make reservations to get in for dinner, but it wasn't worth the effort. The best part of the meal was the appetizer platter we got. The pasta dishes were not great. My bolognese was watery and my friend's pasta wasn't fully cooked and was so dry she couldn't get through the meal. Kind of disappointing because we were really looking forward to some Italian food.

Beautiful ambiance and great view! The food was good overall, the pasta was a little bland if you didn't have a bit of shrimp with each bite. The chicken was delicious and very juicy. Dessert was also yummy, took a while to come out because they got busy. Overall I would come here again to try something else!

Prawn linguine (sucks), beef ragu (tasty), & green beans

Service: no complaints Ambiance: cute & casual Food: 1. Cheese fondue: creamy & comes with 4 breads that tastes like English muffins. They're delicious! Cheese fondue is more creamy and cheesy but I didn't mind. 2. Green Beans with spinach in "garlic" sauce. Veggies were nice and had a bite, however, didn't taste the garlic. 3. Beef ragu: al dente texture with a nice beef ragu reduction. Delicious, no complaints. 4. Prawns (tiny shrimp) with linguine in a spicy sauce. Don't get this, it was so soft and flavor was very light. Do not recommend.

Goodness, this place gets busy. We passed by the restaurant a couple times before actually going in for our own meal. We always commented on the fact that they seemed full to capacity, and I guess it helps to be one of the restaurants in town open late (which was one of the main things that drew us, to be honest). Because they were so busy, it did feel a bit like we were crammed in against each other. I noticed the girl in the fake furs and patent leather thigh-high boots at the table right next to us gave my husband and me kind of a glare as we sat down at our table, but it was easy to ignore her once we settled in. They have an open kitchen concept, so you can see the team of chefs working on your meal and the meal of every other person to order before and after you. They keep everyone moving, that's for sure! This was a more straight-forward meal - no appetizers, no desserts (but beer, of course). I knew I wanted a meat sauce and was immediately drawn to their Bolognese. My husband ordered the meat calzone. The bolognese was served over spaghetti, and though it had good flavor, it wasn't the best bolognese sauce I've ever tasted (damn you, Carmines!) It definitely was meaty, and the noodles were al dente, but it was also a bit runny and didn't have as big of an oompf to the flavor. My husband did enjoy his calzone, which was served with a small cup of marinara for dipping. My chair was situated so that I faced the kitchen, so I was able to watch them prepping his calzone, and saw when it came out of the oven. That was kind of fun. Service was quick and efficient, which we greatly appreciated, given the hour and how busy the restaurant was. We were never ignored or forgotten, and we never had to wait long for any item our waiter promised to bring to our table (ask for their chili oil to go with your bread, it's yummy!) Not bad for a random dinner pull.

Best Italian food. Terrific service!!

I didn't expect to come to Scotland to have Italian food but this place was so awesome we ate here twice within 2 days. There was something about the location, the absolutely unique one-of-a-kind Superior Service, and the bad ass food. For the appetizer we had twice was the homemade meatballs with an absolutely superb marinara sauce that we had to ask for extra on the side. The seafood risotto really was the bomb. Most risottos are lacking flavor but maybe it was the seafood that gave it to just right amount a flavoring. The baked carbonara ziti was great, but I always realize after with baked pasta you lose some of the flavor and sauciness. They had a really great and unique dessert menu, and I'm not much of a dessert person but I had to order it both times. And each option was amazing. My favorite was the fried banana dessert. I wish I could have packed this place in my suitcase to bring it home.

Fritto misto

Dude its really hard to find a place serving food at 10pm in Inverness. We checked out multiple spots, all with closed kitchens, before we stumbled upon Zizzi. This place was completely packed! Their cold beer hit the spot. We ordered the fritto misto, chicken & prosciutto salad, and wild boar meatballs al forno. Fav was the fritto misto - fried veggies and calamari - what could go wrong? The other dishes were good but not great. Service was good and they have free wifi.

Nice food, beautiful view and reasonably priced. We had two different pasta dishes and both were nice, bruschetta was good too. The vanilla panacotta was tasty!

Excellent service, great food. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and it's a beautiful view!

This place is great especially because it's open late. Plenty of seating and great friendly staff. The bruschetta was amazing and very high quality tomatoes were used. The pizza was pretty good for Europe but don't expect NYC taste- although that is understandable. Dessert menu was good and there were plenty of drinks to choose from. The manager was especially nice and made sure we got a great seat with a view. Location is great and right in the heart of the city.

Food wasn't bad, no complaints there. However, we had a creepy interaction with one of the male servers. Women, beware.

Excellent pizza, drinks, and dessert. The portion sizes are excellent. The river views from the restaurant are perfect.

This review is a struggle. After a long day of driving and sight seeing, we wanted a cold beer…read moreand a nice pizza before spending more time on the road. We had the pepperoni and Spicy beef pizzas and they were great! If you like thin crust, they were super . A little light on the cheese sonic you like lots of cheese and a thick crust, may not be your best choice. The reason for the rating is that it took us close to an hour to get our food. I'll take some heat as I should have spoke up earlier. Our waiter checked on us after about 40 minutes and was clearly distraught that we hadn't seen the food yet. About 15 minutes later, he came back and said it was almost ready. At the hour mark, I was ready to surrender and walk out. The manager showed up with the food, comped it and apologized for the mistake that he said he had made. All in all, still frustrating but the manager did his best to make it right. I would probably try another place first but the pizzas was great!

Great pizzas, quick service and prices could be a bit better…read more I wish they had more options in their menu like soups, more pasta options etc. Would definitely recommend it if you fancy some nice pizzas in Inverness. For a more authentic Italian with more options I would recommend Bella Italia. 4 pizzas plus soft drinks was around 61pounds which for me is a bit too much when it's only pizza. Can't complain about the flavors and quality though, that's why I give 4 starts. Would like to take 1 star and a half off them because of lack of options in the menu and price.. All the rest is spot on.
