I came to this AutoBell location this past Sunday and honestly really liked it. I usually go to the…read moreone on North Tryon since it's closer to my place in NoDa, but I happened to be over here and this location is not that far from the other one. By far, this one is much nicer. There are way more vacuums and a lot more employees working, which makes a big difference compared to the other location that seems to only have one or two vacuums. The car wash itself feels bigger and more organized, with a pay station you go through before entering, instead of feeling cramped. The service was fast and efficient. It was cold that day, so I went inside and sat in the waiting area, which was warm and comfortable. Before I knew it, they came to get me and my truck was ready and clean. Overall, I really enjoyed this location and it might become my new go to instead of the one I usually visit. Plus, it's close to Midtown, which is a bonus. I currently have the unlimited wash and they also clean the inside and it's a great value.

They told me that they were going to be able to get the water spots out. I got the car back Saturday mind you it was there from 8 AM. No one ever called me and I went there at 5:45 and my car was parked off to the side. and they never got the water spots out. Also the car was never vacuumed on inside or vacuumed on the seats or seats. Cleanne and I pay $246 and I have the nerve to give me only $88 back don't ever go to that place. Save your a head ache. Terrible Customer Service and the place has no phone number. You're calling the office and they don't answer your phone calls. They may call you back the worst ever.

I was being driven around by my daughter and noticed that not only was the outside of her car a dirty mess, the inside was a dirty mess. I told her to pull in to Zips and I sprung for a proper car wash. A short wait at the machine to pay and then the car was being pushed through the tunnel of washing. Quite thorough and they do some fun with the lights to keep it from being boring. I somehow managed to engage the rear view camera which was fun for a bit. Outside, all of the vacuum stations were being used. We ended up waiting a good ten minutes before any of them became available. While daughter vacuumed and emptied trash, I took the floor mats over to the pounding machine to release the dust and dirt. The car is now much, much cleaner. The inside is completely clean. When I pulled through to the wash entrance, no one was there, so I followed the instructions on the posted signs. An employee then came running out yelling that I wasn't supposed to move unless told to, despite no one being present. He then told me to "calm down" and "relax." Upon exiting the SolarShine Express Car Wash the vehicle was examined but no noticeable damage was found. Later that afternoon we observed a large crack in the windshield. A claim was filed with SolarShine and this was the response: Dear Mr. Moller, Thank you for taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention regarding your recent visit to SolarShine Express Car Wash. We truly appreciate the opportunity to review your claim. After carefully inspecting the vehicle and reviewing our camera footage from the time of your wash, we did not observe any malfunction or irregular operation of our equipment. Our wash system was functioning properly, and our brushes are designed with controlled, light pressure that would not cause damage to a windshield that is not already compromised. Attached to this email are photos showing what appears to be a rock chip in the windshield. The crack in the glass runs directly through this area. Unfortunately, even a small rock chip can significantly weaken the integrity of the windshield. When glass that has been heated by the sun is suddenly exposed to cold water, the rapid temperature change can cause the glass to expand and contract quickly. If a chip is present, this thermal stress can cause a crack to spread from that point. Based on our findings -- including the presence of the apparent rock chip and confirmation that our equipment was operating normally -- we are unable to accept responsibility for the damage and must respectfully deny the claim. We certainly understand how frustrating windshield damage can be, and this is not the outcome anyone hopes for.
