I do not recommend it. I paid for the $24 premium package, yet my car--including the windows--was left dirty. The drying process is poor and leaves the vehicle wet, and the vacuum cleaner doesn't effectively pick up dust from the interior. It was absolutely terrible. read more

I spent $20 on a car wash here and it barely cleaned my car -- the sides of mar car were bot even TOUCHED. I honestly expected a much better wash for the price. The main reason I came was for the free vacuums, but that was also frustrating. I had to move to multiple different stations before finding one that actually had decent suction. I am being a bit generous with the 3 stars because I do actually like the concept, and value as I do use the service quite often and promote it with my friends. Now let let me explain... I love keeping my car clean and kept getting tired of paying over $100 whenever I went to get my car washed, cleaned and waxed every couple of months, on top of the occasional $30+ for in between general washing and cleaning - and then finding that they "missed a spot" which were often the spots I really wanted cleaned. That being said, I started looking into these new membership options, and found Zips Car Wash. I really like it for a few reasons: value, comfort, & cost. It's really not expensive, their base membership is below what I was paying for regular car maintenance & it gets me the wash, access to vacuums, air, microfiber towels & glass cleaner (all the basics you need - minus the labor ) but that's okay cause I do a better job in less time as I have come to find out The one reason why only 3 stars now.... Often times the reader gets confused with my sun pass and it's annoying having to always remove my sun pass or get an associate to cover it when it's a stick on. Also, couple of times already I have had to move from one vacuum station to another just so I have better suction. I was told their air pressure has moments where it's flaky (cmon Zips! You can do better). So... the little hassles can really be a deterrent and annoying factor, specially if you're only here once... and also even worse when you have a membership and makes you want to cancel instead. read more

It's a miracle when I am able to use my monthly membership without having an attendant helping at the gate or driving up to see cones in front of a closed car wash during operating hours. Today, it was smooth, with little suds left on the back of the car, lots of available clothes to dry my car and both vacuums working on each side. You can improve everything with this horrible car wash. I went here for the first time today. I have a Chevy Silverado truck. I went through the wash and pulled into the vacuum area. When I got out of my truck I noticed it was still really dirty on both sides. There were 2 girls working the drive through doing nothing, so I asked them to come take a look at my truck 10' away. I became a meember last year in Boyton Beach and I go every Sunday. This location has a lot of issues. Equipment is rarely working at 100% Short staffed so you wait at the gate to get in Water and towels are often out Prices went up but I dont see any difference in the added wax I was told would happen. I had a terrible experience this morning. I signed up with their app last night which offered me a free wash (Basic Plus) and added Ultra HD Glaze for $5. When I got to Zips in Boynton Beach and I gave the attendant the code it didn't work He tried it several times until the code disappeared and he said I would have to call customer service but he wouldn't let me in anyway. I realized that I received birthday points for a future wash so I used that. So I was out a free wash for downloading the App and another free was for the points I had to use. Went by for a quick car wash. It's a DIY operation!! They put your car through the wash/soak and then you are given hand towels and a vacuum to dry and clean the interior AND exterior of your own car. First visit here. All good. My car hadn't been washed in 3 weeks. I asked the attendant if the $10 wash would clean it - he said yes. I looked doubtful and was pondering paying the $20 to make sure it got cleaned. He offered to run it through again for free if it didn't come out to my satisfaction the first time. Oh! You don't say? Gotta love a customer-centric business. I drove ahead to the entrance of the car wash where an attendant was standing. The setup is similar to El Caro. An attendant hoses down your car and then you put it in neutral and let the machine do the rest. When you exit, you can pull into one of the parking spots with vacuums and air. I finished drying the few wet spots on my car and then did my windows with Windex. I had to move to another parking spot because my first selection was missing the vacuum hose. I was thinking about driving home and using my dust buster, but so glad I decided to try Zips. The Zips vacuum was powerful!! And the fact it was free meant I didn't have to play "beat the clock" hoping my quarters didn't run out. Bottom line...Zips is WAAAAAAY better then El Caro (I used to go to frequent the ones in Miami). El Caro never could get my car clean -- even with their most expensive wash with locked in the dirt under their ceramic wax coating (lol). Great budget car wash. I'll be back! This place keeps getting worse each time I come. A while back they stopped pre-washing the right side of the vehicles. Last week they stopped pre-washing at all, saying that the hose broke. Today, they removed one of the ore-wash signs, so maybe they are not planning to fix it. Also, the exclusive lanes for members is no more. They removed the sign. Ever since the Boynton Beach location implemented their RFID tag system I can never get through without assistance from an attendant...ever! I have an RFID tag on my windshield for the entrance gate into my community and the attendant always has to come over and place his tablet over that tag and sometimes that works and the Zips tag reader detects my tag and their gate opens. I even took a soft drink can and cut a piece of the aluminum large enough to cover my community's tag and I affix it with a piece of duct tape to cover that tag. It worked exactly three times but now even that bypass doesn't help. More times than not the attendant has to ask for my phone number, enter the number from the Zips RFID tag and while I'm waiting for all of that to happen, other cars arriving after me are going through ahead of me. I lose time at the start because of the problem reading the tag and lose even more time because I've now got vehicles ahead of me when I should have been ahead of them. Also, the dryers leave a lot to be desired as there is still significant water on my vehicle when it finishes the drying cycle. This wasn't always the case when I first started patronizing this car wash several years ago. My spouse has the exact same issues so we've decide after going through this same experience again this morning that we will be looking into other options for car washes. 09/16/24 Update: After reaching out to Zips customer service number, the representative made a complimentary adjustment to the monthly membership fee for me and my spouse and said that we would no longer need to have our membership information manually entered when the RFID tag reader conflicted with our community RFID tag. Shortly after that conversation I went back and only needed to have the attendant cover my community RFID tag and I was allowed to enter without the previous hassles. I pay for 9 memberships and wash my car daily. I went to wash car and my scanner didn't work, which is very normal at this place. An employee was standing out there, and I held my scanner outside my window, and he grabbed it from my hand. He said if I wouldn't let him stick it on my windshield, he would confiscate it. I refused as they've had to replace this scanner multiple times, and it just mucks up my window. He said I needed to talk to the manager. I went to speak with the manager, and he was aggressive and dropped an F bomb in his first words to me. He then stated I was not there every F-ing day because he's never seen me before, which makes no sense at all. He then kept asking, "What am I gonna do about it? You're not that big, what are you gonna do about it. If you don't want to follow policy, get the F outta here." He was basically looking to fight with a customer in front of a parking lot full of customers. I have never seen this guy before and have been a member for years. Well, today, they lose my business, my family's business, and my work folks business. They no longer have the air blower and they got rid of the spray bottles and replaced it with a stationary dispenser that doesn't dispense very well. When you get your car washed it's like you're being zoomed through. Feels like your car didn't even get washed. They no longer value their customers like they used to. It's being managed very poorly. Horrible!!! You take your car to get clean! Do not go to this car wash. They do not do anything but spray your car with soapy water and then afterwards you vacuum it you dry it and whatever other cleaning things you are able to do yourself. For the same cost of other car washes where they actually do a better job and provide that service that you're doing this place is not worth it. I paid $27+and my car came out still with dirt on it and he told me they do 8000 cars a week and they get very few complaints. The Boynton Beach location has the root staff in South Florida. After they get you in line and boxed in to go into the car wash, then they tell you only members can get the car washed. There's no way out without making 3 to 5 other cars move, so they are forcing you into a membership. The workers were unresponsive, unreliable, and absolutely had the worst customer service of any place. I've been in the past two years. this place is a total scam to get you locked into a membership costing you money every month. read more
