Not to minimize Anyone else's experience but to say something for our own. We a interracial couple. My fiancé and myself felt extremely welcomed and nothing but warmth from the staff. We love the holiday decor and fun ambiance of the space. Unfortunately we can not give a review on the food because we ate dinner before hand. But from what they told us they have a variety of delicious fried foods (and I'm guilty of loving all bar food that happens to be fried) haha

Who I believe was the owner - well he was incredibly friendly and basically sat down amongst us to chat and watch a baseball game one evening. Although you won't find many draft beers (maybe one?), the prices of drinks here is pretty nice. It's not a place I probably would have chosen on my own, so I'm glad Kevin persuaded me to check it out!

I love a good dive bar. A dive bar should be dark, a little gritty, and serve good that's tasty…read morebut not also healthy. It should also be a place that's great for people watching. OB's fits every one of these. A reporter was in from out of town and wanted to try an Indiana tenderloin, and since I appear to be the resident expert, she contacted me. We chose to meet at OB's. Our service was friendly and prompt. Our server, who could have been anywhere from 40 to 80 years old, was sweet and kind of "mothered" us a little bit. I'm sure she was curious what we were doing, as we had notebook spread out of the table and were taking pictures of our food, but, to her credit, she gave us our privacy. The breaded tenderloins, while not the best in town, were above average, and QUITE large. I seldom get 2 meals out of one sandwich, but I sure did with this one! OB's certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you like solid food at good prices, and a classic dive bar atmosphere, drop in. You won't be disappointed.

Blueberry Lemon Drop was good, but the Watermelon was my favorite. We also tried the caramel apple and it was good too. For dinner I got the pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings. Both were delicious and the server said all were made in house. What I loved about the onion rings was the super thick and crunchy beer batter. We also got some sort or chicken bowl that was a lot of food. Came with chips. That's not my particular thing but the person who ordered it loved it. They make all their own dressings and believe me when I tell you the spicy ranch is spicy. I loaded my onion ring up with that ranch and I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot. I still ate it just not as much at one of time. They have plenty of seating at the bar or tables inside and a few outside tables by the street where we saw people take advantage of the nice weather and brought their dogs. They have a small stage where they have live performances, I think someone was coming last night we were just there too early. They have pull tabs for those who are gamblers. The place was really clean and staff were friendly yet busy. Parking can be tricky so be prepared to walk some during peak times.
