They have…read moreexpanded their menu offerings over time so that there are a few more options for pescatarians (like their fish sandwich and weekend brunch options), which we have very much appreciated. Only items holding back from a 5th star in my rating are that their prices seem high for burgers and the occasional issue with their H&C system. The air from their ventilation has generally not been an issue at most of the tables we have been seated at, although they have not fixed it for the tables north of the bar near their stage. So if you would prefer to not have dry-eyes, avoid the couple of tables near the stage (which also would avoid the constant line of traffic of servers navigating to/from the kitchen).

It's been there for a long time. There not many options locally and with this one you can have a cold beer. It's about 5 miles from summit lake state park. Hamburger and fries for me. The place was being managed by one person. She was working on a large carry out order and about 10 people at the bar so she was slammed. She promptly got me a beer and told me she'd get to me for food ASAP. The grill is in the bar areas, so I could see she was busting her tail. I would have been disappointed had I been in a hurry, but I wasn't.

On entering around 1:30 pm on a Thursday, there were two couples standing at the unattended "please wait to be seated" sign, and I observed about half the tables in the front dining room had guests; the other half were covered with dirty dishes. Not wanting to spend an excessive amount of time, I peeked around the corner and observed two open seats at the small bar, so we took them instead. We had to move a dirty plate and glass over to the end of the bar. After about six minutes of sitting there with no bartender appearing we decided to just get a drink, and go elsewhere later for food. Finally a gal approached us, and it seemed that she was the only staff member on duty for both dining rooms and the bar. She was nice enough, but it was disappointing that she couldn't have just removed the dirty dishes which were six inches from my husband's elbow, not to mention the bar wasn't wiped down. The dishes were still there when we left. We caught her passing through after a while to ask for the tab, which was $7.77. My husband put down a $20 bill and she brought back $12.00. Now I realize some places are in a state of panic hysteria over "penny shortages" but you don't just round UP a guest's tab and certainly not by almost a quarter. Some places give you a discount for cash; this one penalizes you. The decor is nice, rustic and countrified. I don't know how the food is obviously. As we were leaving I noticed the front dining room tables still hadn't been cleared and we were there about 20 minutes.

We then visited during the same week on Sunday afternoon to sit at the bar and watch football. The waitress was extremely attentive and gave us great service. However, the wings came out cold and really chewy. The fried pickles were good. Usually Buffalo wild wings is an easy Old Faithful but it is definitely not at this location.
