We're so grateful we found Reid's Home Repair for our big basement refinish project - great work…read moreand great humans! Our home was built in 1913 and gut rehabbed in 2024. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. I'd recommend Reid's Home Repair to anyone!

They communicate with you every day with an email to let you know what to expect the following day. They hold all their subcontractors to their high standards and if they don't measure up, they no longer use them. The owner, Jon Guy, was very involved in the project from beginning to end. Any problems in the job were addressed immediately. This is one of those reviews you really hate to do because you don't want them to get any busier than they already are should you want to use them again. But, they really deserve the kudos. It's hard to find high quality, honest, dependable contractors. GuyCo is just that. Their professionalism is top notch. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a nearly hassle free remodeling experience.

Jon and the GuyCo team helped plan a sunroom conversion, outdoor living space and deck add on, new windows and doors, and a new entryway to protect and accent our front door. 2021 has been such a challenging time to build and upgrade: from simple things like getting a dumpster for tear-out to ordering and getting even the most basic materials. Jon, Melissa, Aaron and the crew helped us at every step of the process and little by little were able to complete some absolutely gorgeous projects. This was our second time working with the company and as before I appreciate the attention to even the smallest details, the commitment to get the job done even better than right even if it means extra effort, and the years of insight and experience that they bring to the table. I feel like these parts of my house are now what the house "deserves" and will add value, beauty, and enjoyment for decades to come. Thank you GuyCo!

I was out of the country…read moreat the time or I would have had a reliable human being, not to mention an actual man take care of the issue(s) my parents had with a water pipe busting under their home in the summer of 2019, late July to be specific. This man had no help, let alone a "crew," that he stated he'd bring. They had to stay out in a hotel and were not there to see what was or was not done although when i DID arrive back before expected, I looked at the before photos my sister and nephew had taken prior to my parents going into a local hotel as well as the pictures they'd taken each day they had went to retrieve various necessities as required by our parents. There were days he claimed he was "getting twice as much done as anybody else would," and didn't so much as show up. The "job," he did was as shoddy, half-assed and two-bit as anyone could do and have the temerity to charge people for. When the issues from his lack of proper work soon became as problematic as the original pipe rupture, he picked his phone up once,, then two more times the next week and one the week after, each time rescheduling his "follow-up repairs," as he called them "free of cost out of courtesy for the elderly," never to show up at all, subsequently causing what WAS a $10,000 payment for what likely required no more than $5,000 in parts and labor for labor that was worth no more than it's own weight in fecal matter, to balloon into a $20,000+ repair issue. If Bob ever reads this, he knows exactly about whom I'm speaking and exactly what he did. I do hope for his sake that he never attempts to reach out and "make it right," on the phone let alone in person.

Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. You won't see them advertising on TV like other companies because they don't need to. Word of mouth by previous customer service have kept them very very busy.
