It was a full tear down reno and he was professional, friendly and promptly. We were so pleased that we also hired them to finish our basement. My toddler saw him at our house so much that he looked forward to watch from the window for "Melvin's van" every morning. It was one of the first names he learned after mommy and daddy . So, needless to say, we're all very grateful for his honest work, pricing and character.

Jose and Kelvin are amazing. I recently had my kitchen renovated. I wanted an open concept, was…read moregoing for a modern/contemporary look which I think the guys nailed. The project took about 2-3 months due to black custom cabinetry which took 2 months to receive (attributed to COVID) or the project would've taken a month. The guys came in to provide a no pressure estimate and they weren't priced too high or low which is generally a good sign. I always avoid contractors who provide too cheap a price or shoot for the moon (#GME). All in all, I've asked them for an estimate on my bathrooms after being so impressed with their 1) responsiveness 2) craftsmanship 3) attention to details and lastly 4) honesty As one example, one part of the counter top install there was a slight ridge which the guys noticed. The sub contractors attempt to install countertops wasn't perfect and I could barely tell but Kelvin/Jose held the subcontractor responsible to replace the piece. They removed a wall which wasn't load bearing, but we decided to install a 23' beam to be safe. Installed cabinets, enclosed the refrigerator, moved the sink into the corner and added waterfall countertops to the entire "island" area. Pictures speak for their craftsmanship. Highly recommend Jose and Kelvin for you remodel needs!!

Come on Kevin, this is ridiculous. We actually had great rapport during the project, but lying to…read moreus afterwards by saying your company went out of business and that we had to pay the new company a new fee to repair this wiring issue that should have been under warranty, was beyond forgivable. Clearly, the same company still exists! You came out, did a test and said it didn't work anymore, then told us these things usually stop working and have to be replaced and you'd have to buy more lights and reinstall. What?? Seriously? I don't know who you've scammed with that lie in the past, but we're not that stupid. Thats three very serious lies right after we spent over $20K on remodeling. If you try to gas light me again, I'll start dropping images of the entire project showing all the shotty work, our contract, and the text messages where you lied to us saying Jake Premium Renovations went out of business. This was a no-brainer for any company. You could have just adjusted the poorly installed wiring and it would be no big deal. We would have ignored the poor craftsmanship and moved on... but you got greedy. I'm beyond offended by your work ethic. FYI...Your yelp review reply where you denied working for us makes four serious lies. If it goes to five I'm calling the better business bureau, and I will be monitoring this yelp review.

He asked intelligent…read morequestions about what needed to be done and was one of the few floor companies to give me a hard number for my project. He came out to my new place and answered all my newbie homeowner questions. I wasn't sure what precisely the scope of the job should be, so Noe kindly wrote up two quotes based on whether we wanted to get the whole house done or just the downstairs where the floors were worst. My husband and I made the decision to go ahead and redo everything and I'm so glad we did! The floors look beautiful! The crew was great too, just kind gentle men. They were able to do our whole place (1375 sqft), sanding and varnishing in 3 days. Before our townhome was dark and ugly and now it seems bright and new. Thank you so much, Noe!!

We purchased Kohler rain shower plus hand-held and tub mechanism with all necessary valves from Fergussons. We kept our reclining Kohler tub with side st.steele handles. We needed to tear out and replace all prior tiles due to leak, and wet uninsulated walls around tub. Mr. Buendia and his team planned out the job, gave us a reasonable estimate, told us from when to when the job was going to be done, emailed us job proposal, we agreed and signed contract, and the the job started. They covered floors and stairs to prevent any damage, while we made sure they had access to an empty bathroom. In the middle of job we discovered that we needed to reinstall 'all walls, which we did not know when we started. Mr. Buendia and I went to the Tile store on Eisenhower Ave., and we chose together a tile that would fit and look great, and align with remaining ceramic floor. The team worked in coordinated way, and the end result is truly terrific! We are very satisfied and very much recommend Mr. Buendia's team to others. Prior to this job we had also hired Mr. Buendia for other jobs, redoing siding and trim on a townhouse, replacing basement foor with tile, replacing ceiling tiles with a true ceiling, painting, installing storm doors. Each time, we always received work proposal, reasonable cost estimate, and the work has always been excellent. RB Contractors, or Mr. Buendia and his team have always delivered an excellent, professional job. We absolutely recommend them!

Upon scheduling our first meeting with the owner John O'Sick he was able to give us a rough estimate of how much all of the work would be. He worked with our budget and was very honest about prioritizing the projects and we appreciated that. Speaking of budget, we also appreciated that John would always have a full range of options available for us to decide upon, not only in product selection but also with unanticipated repairs needed (our home is over 100 years old). John was in constant contact with all of the utility companies, as well as DCRA, ensuring that we had all of the permits and any other paperwork required. It was very reassuring to know that a contractor takes the time and initiative and really wants the best for you and your project. John is extremely easy to be in communication with, his staff is honest, hardworking and skilled - all things that I think are important to anyone taking on a project, big or small. Walking into our home on Day 1 versus now, you wouldn't believe it was the same property. The transformation was not only beautiful but also functional.

The context of our situation was that another contractor had royally screwed up our floors and we needed to re-sand and re-finish the hardwood. There are very few ways to make an entire house unlivable and a bad contractor using cheap products on the floors is one of them. Just trust me on this, do not go cheap on the polyurethane finish material. Go with the premium water based product. AZ can help you choose the best one for you. I found AZ in the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) list of certified professionals. I absolutely had to make sure that I was hiring a real professional and the best contractors self-select into NWFA certification because of rigorous training requirements. AZ also checked all other boxes. They had high-end dustless sanding equipment, certification from leading vendors of flooring products (Bona, Loba, etc), ongoing training, many years of experience, and a very competitive price point. The one thing that struck me about Moises, the owner of AZ was his dedication to his craft. It's hard to find contractors who strive for excellence in this day and age. In summary, good people doing going work for a really good price.
