This place seems to have a really active presence on twitter and facebook and I have seen their bikes whizzing around several times on my walk home, so I'm pretty surprised that no-one reviewed it already.
The good:
- Ordering is really easy on-line
- They have quite a decent-sounding selection of Chinese dishes
- It's not too pricey, we ordered 2 mains, 2 starters and prawn crackers for £26...It was waay too much food for two people!!
- It was quick...it took about 30mins for the food to appear, although they thought it would take 45mins.
The less good:
- 'edamame rice' was actually just fried rice with a few peas in! Maybe they'd run out of edamame??
- The dishes looked better than they tasted. It wasn't bad flavours...but the sauces are all really strong, so much so, that they overpower the flavours of the meat or veggies. I couldn't even tell if the meat/veggies were fresh, as the sweet, salty sauces were so intense.
This place is worth a try if you like strong, slightly gloopy flavours, but I think I'll keep searching for better Chinese food for takeaways... read more
