Good with a variety of media: prints and original art, fabric, photography, tapestry, or even personal items (for shadowbox-type framing). Not saying I'd trust them with framing exceptionally valuable originals or one-of-a-kinds, but they've done a good job with several delicate and / or damaged items. Prices are...well, framing is expensive, especially if you want it done properly. They're not out of line with what I've paid elsewhere, and they do what they say they're going to do. They are, though, no longer located on Ring Road (and haven't been for around 2 years, even though their website hasn't been updated). Louisville and the region offers a strong tradition of nontraditional and self taught art, and it's great to have a nice galley dedicated to elevating these artists. Little did we know there is an art studio on the second floor of the building. I had just had knee replacement surgery 8 weeks earlier and it was well worth the climbing of the stairs. Karen was welcoming and full of interesting information. Her art may look familiar, but she puts her own twist on things. My favorite piece is the Marilyn Monroe painting. Most photos or paintings you see of Marilyn exhibit a buxom blonde bombshell. Karen's rendering gave a sweeter and more interesting twist to this iconic figure. I asked if I could take pictures to put on Yelp and Karen was more than willing to let me do so. She offers photography, painting classes and uses materials that are nontoxic. I should have bought the Marilyn painting( but there were so many to choose from that I really couldn't decide. Guess I'll just have to go back again!
