Loved our bento boxes for lunch! It was very quiet inside, with only a few other diners in site. They had a very large, stocked bar though we did not partake on this visit. We were sat quickly and the service was swift and efficient, including answering our questions as it was our first time here. We got the mochi ice cream dessert -because why not - even though I'm not a mochi fan. It was still delicious.

What a delicious and beautiful surprise. Never been here. Tons of value and good service. I will definitely come back with the misses! Menu price was $20 for the food. Beer is tbd. As long as they don't jack me on the beer, this is a great score!

Really good sushi, but subpar to average atmosphere. We first arrived and a very young girl (like 5-6 years old) was our hostess and took us to our booth. Once seated, we had a quiet and rather awkward waitress, as she would take our order/speak to us and walk away without saying anything in response throughout the meal. She also didn't give us napkins and took away chopsticks before other food was on its way, so we had to ask for more. The sushi was excellent and tasted fresh and was delicate. The environment was somewhat on the quieter side, but not that quiet. There was nice decorations on the wall, but there was a VERY obnoxious doorbell that would go off every time someone entered the restaurant. Since it was somewhat quiet, the doorbell could be heard EVERY time. The restaurant attire was casual, but nice clothing, however, some patron was wearing a tank top (in February). He was the minority and most people wore nicer clothes.

I don't know where to begin, my fiancé and I had dinner here last night and we were more than impressed. The calamari was great, especially with the dipping sauce. We were both very happy with our sushi rolls and fried rice. If we return to the area we will be stopping by again.

2/14/21 My partner and I picked sushi to be our main food for Valentine's Day! We had only really tried a couple places in the area and found Ziki on Yelp. We placed an order and was nervous because again, we never had it. We were able to order online and view the menu. Which was convenient for us when deciding what we wanted. They had plenty of options. And the price is not as expensive as some other restaurants in the area which was nice for us. We love our sushi so when we got home and opened the containers realized how much food we ordered! Huge portion sizes! Haha so many pieces! It was so good! It was so fresh! We didn't eat inside but will definitely have to go back and check that out and report back!

Sushi was pretty good- other food was pretty mediocre. We tried their tempura veggies and they were cold and flavorless.

Good sushi. Decent prices. Crunchy spicy tuna roll is the best. My husband likes the Thai tea with blue worry popping boba.

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes I think so.

Is this a new location for this restaurant? Maps took me to a Dairy Queen.

It is close to Dairy Queen! Ziki is on the other side of the street behind Water Street Coffee and sitting across from Y'OPA.

By far the best sushi restaurant in Kalamazoo. My husband…read moreand I have tried many sushi restaurants throughout Michigan but this one definitely adds to the top of the list. To get started we ordered gyoza as an appetizer My husband asked asked the waitress for her recommendations She recommended the tornado in the firecracker along with the 911 for spice. I got the special California roll along with the Michigan roll and I loved every single bite! The gyoza was also phenomenal. Our waitress was super friendly and on point at all times we spent 67$ for 4 rolls of sushi. The owner (Tony) is usually also working there and being hands on with his staff which is fantastic to see such a supportive boss. It was a busy night for them and they were always on point we waited about 20-25 minutes which isn't bad considering the amount of people there. We will being going back.

The mixed veggie tempura roll in the sauce on it was delicious. The bento box was a very good value. It came with a side salad. However, I was disappointed that there wasn't any sauce for the Gyoza or tempura the fish was fresh! However, their seaweed salad was just.ehh.

Such a cool spot!…read more We visited Toba on a recent Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by this cute little spot! The menu is lengthy with so many options to choose from! We were a little overwhelmed by the choices at first, but we quickly decided to try several different things to get a better idea of the flavors and what we might like best! We started with a house salad, which was so delicious! Fresh, yummy ingredients with a truly delightful ginger dressing! Hugh flavor! Next we ordered the Gyoza - this dish was AMAZING! The dumplings were perfectly cooked and served with a delicious traditional dipping sauce. Also included was a garnish slaw with a spicy mayo dressing - this complimented the dish SO well. This dish was honestly our favorite part of our entire visit and we highly recommend!! Of course we had to try a sushi burrito which is possibly their most unique offering! I've never heard of sushi in a burrito form before Toba, what a great idea!! It's basically a giant, handheld, wrapped up piece of sushi! We chose the Toba Burrito with steamed shrimp, shrimp tempura, spicy crab salad, avocado, tempura flakes, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. This was a delicious combination! Because it's in a burrito the ingredients are thicker compared to sushi, and you can taste each addition better, but my husband and I both agreed that while this was a very fun item to try, we prefer the regular sushi rolls to the burrito. Smaller bites of each combo of flavors is our preference. :) We also got a K-zoo sushi roll which was delicious but not as chilled as I expected it to be. These pieces were large, (bigger than a one bite piece of sushi) but packed with quality, fresh ingredients with really great flavors!! My husband and I both ordered a cup of tea, both were delicious and perfect for a cloudy, rainy day!! There are several options to choose from, we asked our waiter for further explanation and recommendations. :) There are so many more options to try at Toba - we will definitely be back to try more things, the ramen for one! :) The service at Toba was excellent! Our server was very attentive and helpful! Our order arrived very quickly and in perfect stages since we tried so many different things! The atmosphere is modern and seating is consolidated to a fairly small area. We were seated in the cutest front booth, right in the window. Best seat in the house, I'd say! Kalamazoo is beaming with great foodie spots! Toba is a great addition to the downtown scene!! :)
