I along with many others are honestly extremely disappointed with this establishment recently as…read moreyou fail to provide basic necessities such as resistance bands or proper attachments for machines. We pay more for this gym than others near combined and shouldn't have to spend almost $20 extra for something that should be provided by a gym. On top of this nearly everyday there is something going on in base camp that should be hosted in one of the yoga rooms, base camp is very popular and should be accesible for ALL paying members when they want to use it.

I chose this gym because I thought the price would make it more of an adult setting and not a bunch…read moreof teens and screaming kids, but I was wrong. They cater to the kids and dues paying, working adults come secondary. They sell you on all the amenities like pool and spa, but fail to tell you that If you work a job like most adults you will never be able to use the pool or spa without screaming kids or groups of teens playing grab ass, the no diving or horseplay is never enforced. Think they set aside time for hardworking, paying adults to swim in peace, nope think again Mon-Fri 12pm to 7pm is family time and when they run their second business of paid swim lessons. That's right you pay your dues so they can charge others extra for swim lessons during peak after work hours. So as a working person you can not swim laps or avoid screaming kids jumping in the spa. Oh, but if you want to come in at the crack of dawn or right at closing time you can swim laps, pretty hard to do if you work a regular job. They also do a horrible job keeping kids off the machines which will be your only option since the pool is off limits while you are there. And if it's volleyball season they rent out the racquetball courts to high school teams to practice. Avoid at all costs, and it's an expensive one, if you want to workout or relax in peace as this is a afterschool hangout and they are all on their phones sitting on machines, even kids on phones in the spa watching videos and no one ever comes thru to police anybody.

Surprised to see some poor reviews here. My partner and I booked a one night stay this past weekend…read more(Jan 2026) and had a lovely relaxing stay. A few things: 1. This is not the type of place you can just roll up to, you should def plan your stay in advance and read the website and FAQs before going. 2. Perhaps we hit it on a good weekend or during the low season, but fortunately, it was not super crowded for us. If you have the opportunity to visit in the evening, that prob would be best though as there weren't more than 2-3 other people in the sauna or hot spring at any time them. 3. I saw complaints about the food not being good - again, maybe we hit it on an atypical weekend, but for vegetarian and gluten free meals, the food was pretty good! For dinner, we enjoyed a pretty nice lasagna with some amazing, fresh greens for salad and the following morning we had frittata, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and hard-boiled eggs. Also, if you find the food bland, there were plenty of hot sauces, condiments, dressings, etc to season it to your taste. 4. I think a lot of people have the expectation that this is a luxury spa resort... it's not. You're not getting gourmet buffets or fancy lodging and beds. It's def pretty rustic, but we found our stay to be comfortable and the amenities to be quite sufficient and most of all, it offered the peace and respite from the real world that we were seeking.

BEWARE: THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE DEAF/HH COMMUNITY…read more I've still not been reimbursed for irrevocable damages to my hearing aids during my stay in December '24 when a rodent came under a flaw in my room's weather stripping and chewed through my wire during the night. To feed its family, or collect as a shiny trinket, I don't know. I wanted a signed guarantee of reimbursement upon checkout, but there was no mgmt present. Initially, I was encouraged by the speed this seemed to be being handled - an email was waiting for me when I got back to town the day of, even if it was extending a cagey "we MAY be able to offer SOME help." But as the office correspondence continued, I was wary the responder kept swapping out, always with no identifying surname - first a Lauren, then a Cortney, then a Heidi. Each time they said they'd be in touch, they weren't. They requested an invoice and did nothing with it. I had to go more than a month without hearing assistance waiting for replacements to arrive. I'd hoped Breitenbush would work out the financials with my audiologist or directly with the manufacturer, but no. I had to re-purchase them. If they weren't under warranty, I wouldn't have been able to afford them. If there's future loss or damages, I'll have to eat the entire cost. But the company clearly doesn't care about that, or me, or the hazards of living unassisted. So I recommend if you are D/HH, DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR BUSINESS.

I signed up for the trial week here and my first few classes were with Victoria who is truly…read moreamazing. The positive energy from the group that filled the room and her insightful instruction is exactly why I like to include studio yoga into my practice. I thought I had found my new "yoga home." And then I came to Angela's class, which is why I urge you to stay away. Angela is the worst yogi, and quite possibly even a horrible person...and she owns this place. First, she didn't like my mat, or where I placed my mat, or which side of the mat I was using and proceeded to try to sell me a mat. Uhhh... Then, as I came into my first down dog she snaps at me to stop moving, so I froze. Then she proceeded to come and touch me on every pose! She didn't know me! She didn't ask me! She didn't know my body! To her credit, she may have assumed that I wanted to get really deep into each pose because it is obvious that I have practiced before, but after hiking that day I was a little sore/tired, and wanted to take it easy. I listen to my body and don't force poses. The penultimate straw was when, on my third down dog, she came and drove my heels into the mat! Drove.my.heels.into.the.mat. I flipped over and asked her to stop, and that her touch felt critical...she said "fine" and marched around the room loudly saying how she is showing us how to do things correctly and how important it is for her to touch, blah, blah. It felt so hostile! So hostile, in fact, that I rolled up my mat and left...after only 8 minutes. If you look at the website, she violated all of her own tenets. I'd like to say my story is unique, but I felt compelled to write this review after swapping Angela horror stories at the Thirsty Woman with some folks I had just met. So join Root Down at your own risk, and/or only take classes from Victoria and Jen. Namaste.
