This place is really fun. They offer mini golf, batting cages, arcade games, laser tag, and they have go karts. We decided to do the mini golf course which is 18 holes for eight dollars a person. The mini golf course was kept clean and it was fun. They have a lot of seating outside so you can relax and the arcade games were very fun. We were able to play quite a bit of games for $20. Ended up here on a Sunday around 11AM and spent maybe 2 hours here playing mini golf and the arcade games. It's an interesting setup... the arcade is divided between two buildings and one of the buildings (with the party room and bar) has a giant step up to get in. No idea what the bar looked like because it was behind a solid door. Bathrooms were clean. Prices were reasonable and there was a great deal of snacks available for purchase. (Redbull, Gatorade, and celcius were drink options). Smaller arcade but the games were fun for our 4 year old., good variety. Mini golf was a nice clean course with some unique holes that challenged us. The only thing that sucked was that at least two of the holes were completely flooded from earlier rain. Despite there not being a drain system there and all of the holes being full of water, we still enjoyed the course, and our son won a free game on the 18th hole. FYI- the mini golf course is also not wheelchair friendly. read more

My brother was getting ready to drive a go kart and they asked him how old is he and he said 9 his birthday recently passed so he wasn't familiar with up to date age which is (10) the required age to drive and my mom explained that to the employee and her response was "I don't care" didn't have any kind of compassion and sympathy if you are another of race besides white you are not welcomed to ziggies. Great little spot for some family fun! So I can't really give readers here any insight on prices since I was here for a work function and I didn't have to pay for anything. But I hope I can give you some insight on the options of entertainment! First I want to note it is not a huge park/Funland. But they do offer all of what you would find at those other places. Go karts, laser tag, mini golf, batting cages and two indoor areas with arcade games. The go carts were awesome but slightly dated. But I didn't run into any issues with them! There were a decent amount of arcade games between both buildings including classics like skee ball and pin ball as well as more modern games like what you'd see at Dave and Busters. The batting cages were a great time! Helmets and bats are provided and they sanitize the helmets in between uses since they are not just sitting in the batting area. The fast pitch softball part wasn't working unfortunately but I just hit baseballs instead! I can't speak on laser tag (too warm for me to be running around) or mini golf (very popular with coworkers) but everyone I talked to said they were both fun. And it seems that they do laser tag on the hour every hour! The employees were all great especially having to deal with probably 50 some employees plus family! Very helpfully when we had ticket issues and just very friendly employees! Altogether I had a great time and definitely burned some calories in the heat! read more

My fiancé and I had a great time here over the 4th of July weekend. We wanted to do something mindless and fun and saw that they had mini golf and go karts here. I was worried that there may be a bunch of screaming kids and long lines, but that was not the case at all! It's not a really big place, but they have so many activities you can do and we didn't have to wait long at all even though it was a sat. The staff were friendly and we stayed for over three hours just playing games and hanging out. To start off with, I'm only going to be reviewing the laser tag portion of this place as opposed to the rest of it. Zig-E's is small and it kinda shows. So Instead of focusing on things I not a huge fan of, lets talk about the cream of the crop; Tactical laser tag. This is my third experience with tactical laser tag, at three separate locations, and Zig-E's so far has been the best. For those unfamiliar with it, tactical laser tag has been popping up a lot more frequently and it's probably a lot different than the laser tag you remember. Gone are the days of strolling around a dark room with glow in the dark lights while you go around in circles and repeatedly shoot tiny children in their back sensor. This stuff gets serious. The laser "rifles" resemble that of an actual firearm, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Here's how it broke down. 4v4 Playing an arm the bomb game type The only way to kill enemies is by head shots Each player can get "shot" 4 times before having to respawn Players have to hold down a box in the center of the arena for x amount of time. If an enemy presses the button, then their timer goes up. Rifles were dead on accurate Respawns were super quick And this was just one game type. We also did a capture the flag, team deathmatch, and a king of the hill type game, all of which were a blast, and we were all totally digging it. The people running the game and the owner were all very personable and were a pleasure to work with getting a group together for this experience. Now for the Cons. There are some, but these maybe just personal preferences. If I could give Zig-E's a 4.5 I would. However, that being said, the arena is small and plain. Zig-E's doesn't really have the real estate to expand that much, and it kinda shows. It also doesn't help that these rifles are DEAD ON accurate so if you have someone who's good with a rifle, you can pick off enemies 2 feet from each other's spawn point, which becomes annoying. Also all "buildings" and barriers are made up of what looks like cheapo plywood. Don't get me wrong, it gets the job done and it's totally serviceable. However after seeing the stuff FEAR CITY was able to do with plywood and their set pieces, it makes you think they could have done a little bit better. I always felt like there was plenty of opportunities to get a splinter or two if you weren't careful. My final complaint Is what I call the "derp" version of the normal rifle. These rifle were small, ugly, and looked like a pain in the arse to use. Luckily I never had to use one, but you best believe I shot the people who did, a lot. So there you have it, If you want to experience the definitive version of Tactical laser tag, look no further than Zig-E 's Funland in St. John Indiana. Just make sure you brings gloves. Zig-E is always on the Groupon radar, so pick up those deals and give them a go! read more

I really like Zig-E's fun land in the spring/summer/fall. They have go-karts and batting cages and mini-golf. They have laser tag which is a blast. If there was anything I would like to see improved, it is only that I wish the arcade was a little bigger for more "winter" activity, but its great 9 months out of the year. I found ZigE's while looking online for laser tag for my son's birthday. We rented a 15 passenger van and took 10 kids all around ages 10-12 to ZigE's Funland. We attended for their SWAT event in laser tag. The people who run this business were very polite and accommodating for my son's birthday party. They even gave us extra tokens for the kids to play mini golf. We all had great fun at ZigE's Funland! They went above and beyond to make sure our kids had a great birthday experience. I recently had my son's birthday party with an hour of laser tag before the party. When I initially called to choose a date/time and ask questions I spoke with Drew (owner/manager) and he was extremely helpful. I was able to use the Groupon price for the hour of laser tag and then pay for my party package. He explained that the party room was scheduled on the even hour so I chose 5pm for laser tag. Since I was paying for the hour, and was going to use the party room at 6pm he let me know to try and make sure all the boys got there on time, which made sense. When I arrived, I walked in and the staff seemed overwhelmed. I am guessing since it was extremely busy being one of the first nice days this spring. None the less, when I asked the gentleman at the counter if I could speak with Drew, that I was there for a party, he said he could help me. I let him know that I had been speaking with Drew for awhile and he was applying a groupon, etc so I'd really like to speak with him. He immediately got flustered and frustrated that he had to go find Drew. Finally, he found him and again, Drew was very pleasant and explained everything for the party. He introduced to me to the 'party host' who led me through the ordering process of food, attraction choice, etc of package I had chosen. Drew had left at this point, and I had paid and asked where the boys should go for laser tag and the party host tells me that there was a game going on and it would be 15-20 minutes. I explained to her that I paid for an hour, and we had the room at 6 for food, and was told to have all the boys here at 5 to assure we received the full hour. She was apologetic, but with an 'I don't know what to tell you' way about her. After expressing my frustration, I asked for the tokens each kid was to receive since they would be standing around. Again, she seemed frustrated, again I feel it was due to how busy it was at the time. By the time I received the tokens, Drew had come back for the boys. After the briefing, the game finally started around 5:30ish. We were the last to be in the party room so I guess it wasn't an issue; however, I was not wanting to be at Zig Es all night and had a friend coming back to help me transport the boys back to my home for a sleepover. At 6:45 I still didn't see the boys return to the main building, so I went in and the party host said they are probably still playing but the two pizzas were ready in the warmer. When I walked over to the laser tag area, Drew said the boys wanted to keep playing so he let them (which was nice) and apologized that he didn't realized it was 7pm. The boys finished up and we all went into the party room where the party host brought us two basically burnt pizzas. When I pointed out they were burnt she said "Oh they're not burnt, its just how the pizza is"....um, no they're burnt. So I explained that the boys were hungry and probably weren't going to eat that and asked that new ones be made. Immediately she got an attitude, said ok and walked out. 15 minutes later she returned with a cheese pizza that wasn't burnt, but no pepperoni one. And I asked if that one can be remade as well. Even more attitude with huffy turn around and 15min later another pizza came that was fit to eat. So as the boys ate I asked if she could get the cake in their fridge. She asked if I wanted a knife, candles. I said I had candles, but sure to the knife (to my surprise the 'party host' doesn't have the food/drinks on the plates...at other places where such was included the host actually 'hosted' lol). Anyway, we had cake, the kids did their go cart attraction and arcade and by the time we got out of there it was 9pm. Yes 9pm. So, the ONLY reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because of the staff's attitudes and the fact that they would consider serving burnt food....not what I want to be paying for. Overall the place itself is nice, kids had fun and Drew was awesome! read more
