We went on a weekday in the summer around like 2:20 and there were maybe 3 other groups at max and when we finished we were the only ones left. The place was OK in a decent way to waste an hour with your family. I stress the "OK" part. It's nothing fancy. Just a bunch of glowing props painted fluorescent colors and under black lights. The miniature golf part is mediocre. However, I still would've given it three stars but I absolutely cannot stand it when employees at businesses say their restrooms are broken and tell you to go into a store next-door. They had two restrooms and they kept them both locked and said they were broken. I call BS!! read more

I have to say this place was very interesting. For starters the the set up with all of the different characters and cool black light designs was Awesome!! However, the arcade was not as advertised online. Majority of the games are broken! The only game that actually functioned and kept score was the air hockey game. The one game that was off in a corner (supposedly had street fighter and other games) joystick broke and unable to select a game to play. Skeeball game let you roll the balls did not keep score and the basketball game glitched so no score keeping either. The little restaurant inside was cool. It had your typical arcade food so can't go wrong there. The staff on duty were pleasant and accommodating so kudos to the two guys who worked this evening!!! My only real critique is to either invest in the actual games you have advertised online and ensure they function or do away with the arcade and expand the course. read more

Space Golf was a unique find for us in Orland. We were looking for kids activities, trying to get out of the summer heat, and also trying to avoid the crowds of Dave and Buster's and Gizmos. We happened upon Space Golf in a strip mall that I normally associate with being more industrial, but it was awesome. I love the custom designs of each hole with everything glowing in the dark. It's almost impossible to see well enough to keep points but we're not competitive we just like to have fun. My fingernails and shoes were glowing, there was music playing and other patrons trying to navigate the course. It was so much fun, for all ages, and way cheaper than other family activities in the area. I think we paid $28 for three of us and spent about 90mins for 18 holes. None of us are good golfers especially not in the dark lol. read more

If dive mini-golf places were a thing, Space Golf would be at the very top of that list. As a 30 year old without kids, this was more on the do once and never again side of things. The place is pretty small, but the price is pretty on-par (see what I did there) with what you get. If it's busy and you generally suck at mini golf, you may get passed by a bunch of children. Also, if you have a large group, it's probably better for everyone to keep going through the course, as the wait can get pretty backed up. There's a bunch of fun things to look at & the course itself is the right kind of challenging, even for us old folk. You guys should buy out the next light and make it big you guys would then be able to make the course bigger or add more courses. WHAT A FUN SURPRISE! We didn't read any reviews before walking into this place, but we saw it upon driving to Savers next door and checked it out. We're from Los Angeles and were in the area for the week but we love mini golf so we couldn't pass this up! It's a family owned business open for the last 12 years and every part of it appeals to the those who love a good whimsical sci-fi nerdy experience. Places like this don't exist in the big cities and if they do they are predictable and manufactured with no character and just follow basic trends. This was nothing like that. It feels like those amazing hidden gem discoveries on the side of a road on a long road trip that just satisfy your spontaneous desire to have a laidback but fun and unique sensory experience. There's so much quirky stuff to see even just in the lobby area that my husband and I walked in and immediately said "woahhh how cool what IS THIS PLACE!?" So many references to throwback kitschy sci-if movies and shows that probably people born before 1990 would more appreciate but still really fun to see without knowing the references. The colors, the glow in the dark experience with 3D glasses and detail on all the displays were so entertaining and fun. The building itself isn't the largest, the fun interactive features (alien operation game) weren't all working, the holes were not super long and some wonky and they could fix a few things due to wear and tear. But overall it's just too fun of a little place to skip out on. It would be fun for kids, teens, families, and retro sci-fi movie lovin nerds. Prices are reasonable for what you get and even if some things don't work the way they should, this place is the cutest, coolest and quirkiest mini golf experience handmade with passion by a true retro sciFi lover. I hope they keep updating little things because it's such an enjoyable place that I hope survives time and just keeps enhancing its charm with new features or lights and things. This is in response to the review Reyna left...... There are 2 sides to the story... Here is the other side of what really happened.... An adult male came into Space Golf and didn't golf, he just walked around for a bit, looking around, never spoke and then approached the 2 young girls at the counter and asked them if he could use the bathroom. Which they allowed. The adult was in the bathroom for 30/40 minutes. The girls became concerned at what he was doing in there for that amount of time and called. Your son called you while you were shopping at Savers and you came into space golf with his ID and put it in the face of the young girl and was screaming..... what does it say, what does it say? She responded by saying, Disabled! How were they supposed to know that? Space Golf is not a babysitter while you shop at Savers. He was gone from you for at least 45 minutes, weren't you concerned where he was? Or do you tell him to go there while you shop? You could have went in there with your son and introduced your son to the girls and explained to them that he on the spectrum and likes to look around in here....is ok if hangs in here while I run into Savers? That would have made the this situation a whole lot better for your son and the young girls working. You were asked to leave by the young girl because you were screaming and yelling in her face and accused the young girls of discrimination. In this crazy world we live in now, let me ask you a question, Reyna? You are a teen girl working and this man comes in, doesn't golf, doesn't speak, walks around and comes up to you, stares at you for a few seconds and then says, where is your bathroom? And then is locked in there for 30/40 minutes? Wouldn't you feel something isn't right and be concerned for your safety and his?Shame on you for trying to blame these girls and space golf! read more

I guess for people in the area it's a really neat place cause for 9-16 bucks a kid you have a stress free, plan free, fun birthday party for your kid! The service was great and the place was larger than I expected it to be. This party had 20+ kids at this particular party with ages ranging from 3 to I think 12ish and they were all having fun! This evening my adult son (24 on the spectrum) entered Space Golf in Orland Park where he occasionally plays golf. He asked the girl behind the desk if he could use the restroom. When he came out there were 2 police officers waiting for him. They began to question him as to why he was there. Luckily, I was next door when he called me confused, scared and on the verge of tears. Apparently, the young manager called the police and said that my son was weird and made her feel uncomfortable. When I arrived, I explained to the officers that he was on the spectrum and had no ill intentions. I then entered the store and asked to speak to the manager. The girl who called the police said she was the manager. I explained to her that my son was on the spectrum and not weird. She didn't care and told me that he made her feel uncomfortable. and she didn't want him there. I suggested that she and her staff take sensitivity training to understand those with special needs. She then yelled "too bad, get out!". I was very surprised how badly she treated my son and disrespected me. She then walked outside to where the police officers where trying to calm my son down and she gave them the phone to pass to me. The owner was on the phone and I tried to explained to him what had happened but he too didn't care. He told me my son was no longer welcomed there. Overall, I had a good experience at Space Golf. I've been there 3 times. It's a unique activity to do in the winter time. The Owner/Manager is a very friendly man, and the customer service was good. After the game is over, the customers are offered an opportunity to win a free game for the next visit. The positives aspect of Space Golf is that it is located in the South Suburbs, so it's easy to get to for us suburbanites. Parking is free. Its located 5 minutes from the Mall. The building is clean and well maintained. The theme is of course Space, so there are space aliens, planets, and alien machines located throughout the place painted in neon colors with bubbles shooting from the walls. There is an ice-cream bar and a very small arcade with really old games inside. The negative is that it is 18 holes that are packed into this small location. So often times, I felt rushed because the party behind me was waiting for us to move to the next hole. The course will take about 25 minutes if you take your time and about 15 minutes if you rush through. So don't rush through. The price is too much for 20 minutes of fun. 2 people cost 18 dollars per game. You can pay 3 dollars to play an additional game. Go on Groupon and purchase it on there for Monday through Friday games for 50% off. It is worth 9.50 for 2, so I wouldn't pay full price again. read more

We like this place allot, but the staff can be very rude depending on what young kids are working. My 2 little ones played the arcade games for 2 days and where excited to turn in their tickets. Be warned. The inside is neat but can be a scary place for young children. I have wanted to try this and my daughter and friends ages almost 6-8 went with a Groupon. We paid extra $1 each for 3D glasses. Went in, one girl was scared and started to cry immediately so we walked right back out. No one even dropped a ball. The man (owner?) gave the crying child who I guarantee will never go back a biz card with a free play if she wanted to come back another time. I expected he would give one to all of us but he walked to the back. The girl at the front looked surprised too but shrugged and gave the rest of us nothing. I walked out very upset. So I spent $16 on a Groupon and $4 for glasses and got to see the inside for under 10 seconds. I contacted Groupon about the situation as their site says they stand behind the merchants. Groupon kept 50% of the $16 spend or $8. They were so "generous" to reimburse me a whole $5 credit Groupon Buck voucher. Not a good experience and will not patronize this business that doesn't take care of their customers again. read more

I had my son's 9th birthday party there for his friends and family. He had a blast. Our host was named Clarissa and she was really nice and great with the group of kids I had with. We had 18 kids and they started in groups for mini golf at different holes. They were very organized and very nice and especially patient with the kids.
