I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Safelite. I scheduled an appointment to have my…read moreBMW's damaged window replaced. Safelite had my VIN from the beginning, and the technician personally saw the damaged window during the first visit. Despite having all the information necessary to identify the correct part, they brought the wrong window. They then canceled and rescheduled my appointment, explaining that the correct window needed to be ordered directly from BMW. After I waited approximately three weeks, they finally returned today--only to discover that they had ordered the wrong window AGAIN. This is completely unacceptable. Safelite had my VIN, physically inspected the window, and had several weeks to confirm the correct part--yet somehow ordered the wrong window twice. I have repeatedly rearranged my schedule, and my vehicle is still not repaired. Safelite's repeated mistakes, delays, and failure to verify the correct part have made this situation significantly worse.

We had a bad experience here. My daughter called me from college and told me that a man at this…read morebusiness verbally quoted her $1100 for an oil change and a 4 wheel disk brake job. This prompted me to drive 4.5 hours one way to see just 'what was what' at this shop... In their defense, one caliper did need to be replaced (as one wheel's brake was 'metal on metal'), the 4 rotors needed to be replaced (along with pads), and one stud/lug nut was cross-threaded. My daughter is a 20 year old who 'calls em like she sees em'. All I know for certain is that she didn't like this place. I told him 'not everyone in Clinton is rich' during a civil 'one on one' conversation outside. I asked him rhetorically, "With all due respect, $1100 for brakes??; What do you think the car is worth, $2000?" He replied, "Well, maybe a little more than that." He shrugged his shoulders and went back inside. It is a 12 year old very common sedan. I took the car elsewhere, on the outskirts of an east coast city... It turns out that the car also needed a new lower control arm (it had a cracked bushing), badly needed new spark plugs, and needed a new oil sender unit (which was leaking a lot). ALL of this additional work (plus all of the work quoted) was completed for $1000 elsewhere, (Parts and labor fully warranted, licensed mechanic, done within 24 hours) Do the math & good luck in selecting your repair shop.

Today I went back to discuss the status of these tires. All 4 are shot. They have 21000 miles on them, but come on. I had purchased the extra warranty and they carry a 40000 manufacturer warranty that Mavis doesn't care about. Was told because I declined an alignment 3 times this year its my fault. I was there 3 times. Once for the tires (Feb). Didn't get the alignment since it didn't need it. The other 2 times were for the tire that went flat to be replaced.....they just swapped the flat tire off the rim and change it. And once for an exhaust leak that they couldn't (or wouldn't) even fix. Why would they ask (they DIDN'T) if i needed an alignment when they looked at my exhaust??? Its so they can check a box in order to deny coverage on a crappy set of tires that I paid $140 a piece for ( so I didn't really cheap out....) Never again will I spend a dime there!!!!! We went because it was convenient to work at the time and we needed the tires quickly...... Never again.....
