IYKYK I had no expectations walking into the doors of this facility, but I'm so glad I did. I left with a free sample because I was a new member; I bought a 20pk of shroom gummies for $30 as well as 200mg worth of weed gummies for $8. The shroom gummies are legit; I got a new perspective on my life, am better able to stay present, and live in the moment after I tried one out last weekend. The weed gummy was okay but worth $8. It had the feelings of a chill hybrid breed. The fact this facility even legally exists not just in Oakland but in America is a beautiful one-of-a-kind occurrence. I've been coming here for years and I give up. It's never been a great experience but I didn't know it could get worse. It's not welcoming, it's not helpful, rarely does anyone even have ANY education on what products they have. I accepted sub par performance but this last time was the absolute worst! They need to take their clients and products more seriously. It's not a donut shop. These are people's livelihoods and some genuinely depend on their products. I didn't ask for any detailed descriptions of all those crazy named products, just to get what I needed or guide me to find something similar. Security guard is always friendly and so are the people who check the ID. The tenders in the back are another story. I have only once met a helpful one once (altho still not friendly) but all the other times they were neither kind nor helpful. This last experience was the absolute worst and I will never come back. I come for a purpose, not fun and giggles, so I take my product seriously as I wish they took their customers. I do not feel like a valued client at all. You cannot see much of the available products, fine I guess. You get a menu (if they let you read it) that is very overwhelming. However if you cannot see the products and the menu is just silly names and prices you should be able to ask SOMETHING about what you are looking for and get SOME education. I came in knowing what I wanted, because it was the same thing I get every time, or something similar. I don't dare try to even ask what something else is anymore. I was told "you can't have that menu to look at. You have to share", literally no one else in the room except who I came with or any other part of the building. So, I had to share a menu, fine whatever. I was rushed. I was trying to read the menu to find what I wanted. I was told I had to go up to the counter and order altho I wasn't ready. I said I wasn't ready but he kept telling me "I'll help who's next. I'll help who's next. I'll help who's next" we the ONLY ONES HERE. So, I go to the counter and tell the guy what I wanted and he just stared at me, no words. Didn't answer me or offer any help. Zero guidance. I said again what I wanted, he literally just stared at me, didn't offer any help again. I said I want micro doses capsules, the 20-25 count (whatever the larger size is), no answer. I said fine, can I show you a picture of what I want? I have it on my phone. He said yes just stand by the wall ( omg he spoke!). I move to the wall and someone else tells me to move over. I said "ok I'm looking for a pic of what I wanted". This happens several times. I keep going where everyone else tells me to go until I'm told to go find a bench. At this point it's painfully obvious and clear I need guidance, I'm not just a lost toddler no one gives a damn about, although I was being treated as one. I'm so confused, not communicated with, ignored when speaking, told I can find what I want and show them a picture, then told to completely leave the area. I track someone down outside the actual room and ask them if they can identify this package. She did. I go back in, tell the guy exactly what I wanted, name size etc. and he just stared at me. I gave up. The person I was with got something they wanted and we left. I mask well but inside I was so anxious and nervous, confused and humiliated. I would have most certainly accepted something similar, I don't always get the exact same thing every time, I know that's not an option and am just grateful there are things available. I'm in my 40s and have spent my life struggling with diagnosis and nothing has ever helped me over the counter or prescribed by a doctor. Finally I discover micro doses and it's a miracle for me. They give me my life back, I am able to be there for my family my children and myself. I drive from over an hour and a half away to get these. read more

I go here often and always have a great experience except for when I get this bud tender he over weighs the bud and then takes out a huge nug and replaces it with the smallest nugs he can find until it adds up to the correct weight. I'd rather have him just break the big nug or give me a new one that is close to the same size but he gives me like 4 small popcorn nugs it's very annoying this has happened 3 times and I said something this time and he said I don't look at it like that if I ever see him again I'll just leave and come back another day read more

Good selection of products, good security, and good quality of mushrooms from what I've tried so far (although the weed that I've tried is very subpar). My only real complaint is the customer service and it's really a shame because it's the only thing keeping this place from standing out. I've been here twice now and both times I dealt with someone who just had no interest in helping or answering questions. The first time, the lady who was attending to me was just plain rude. At least this last time, the guy wasn't rude, but he wasn't helpful either and didn't really care too much about answering my questions. Also, the discounts are a sham. I came in today for the Memorial Day 20% discount that I got emailed about, and the menu prices were already listed as 20% discount with the same pricing as I got last time. I asked if it was an additional 20% off the discounted pricing and was told that no, it's normally the higher pricing (which just isn't true). If there was another place that was more welcoming and honest I would absolutely go there. But it's not bad for what it is I guess. read more

Wow. Just wow. First a couple of notes. The area may feel a little bit concerning to you if you aren't familiar, particularly if you aren't familiar with Oakland as a whole. I love Oakland, But there are definitely dramatic differences, depending on what area you are in. Even so, I have never had a bad experience there, and I tend to like to walk the areas. Zide generally has parking pretty close by, and security inside and outside. I have been struggling with serious depression for a number of years, and as more research has shown that mind altering substances can help with depression, I wanted to try someplace safe and legal to access them. I really cannot say enough about what positive experiences I have had at Zide. Everyone I have dealt with has invariably been kind, thoughtful, and helpful. They include a lot of information about appropriate usage and harm reduction. They answered all my questions, and took time to learn about my concerns and my needs. It's a bit pricey, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. For me it was worth it to be in a place where I knew what I was purchasing was safe to use, as well as to receive guidance. I was referred by a good friend of mine to come check out this establishment, and was stunned at the service I received before going inside. Also, I never really write reviews so you know I just felt the need to inform people. I was the only customer in the waiting room, and she pretended like I was not there. Continued to work on her laptop, and not answer any questions I was asking: referring to the process, also I had to use my passport so she had my passport: I asked if I could have it back.... again no response. So I took it as I was good to go inside. I started walking instead and very rudely and condensing she responds, "UMMM EXCUSE ME YOU HAVE TO WAIT I DID NOT SAY YOU COULD GO IN", I responded what I felt was necessary in the moment with: "UMMM I'm not sure why you're being sooo rude to me????? Then she just acted as if nothing happened gave me my stuff and I continued inside. All the rest of the staff was amazing- providing good vibes. As you should have that type of energy working here.
