The service tech arrived a little after 9:30 AM and left before10 AM. Never had five (5) rooms and 1 hallway clean so fast. Should have known something was up. The service tech was friendly, but the product used to clean the carpets did not clean the carpets as expected. A foam was put on the carpet then a vacuum was used to suction it up. After the carpet was completely dried the carpet looked the same as before the product was used. Google reviews not accurate. Did not get would I paid for but paid what was estimated. Very disappointed. Would not use again and would not recommend. Money wasted. read more

I had an appointment for carpet cleaning today. Had my furniture moved in preparation. I was awaiting their arrival when I received a call that they had to cancel my appointment. I asked if another technician could come out today or tomorrow. I was informed they only have one technician. This is ridiculous! Then they could reschedule for Friday, and waive the service fee. No ma'am. Not to mention I had to tell them they could not use my water. I was told they would bring their own water tank. I'm supposed to pay for carpet cleaning with my own water. Unacceptable! i can't really review the work, because they never showed-we had an appointment for our carpets to be cleaned at our rental townhouse. They were supposed to come between 12-3-we were at the place at 11:45 when we got the call that they were running behind and couldn't get there till about 3-so we waited and at 3:10 we called and they were still not on the way-they didn't bother to call to update on the status . I would not recommend doing business with this company. We had our couch cleaned in a satisfactory manner. As he was leaving I discovered several tiles were chipped where the hosing ran. It was very apparent it had just been done since the chips were still on the floor. The technician took pictures and talked to his supervisor on the phone. We were promised the supervisor would call us that afternoon. After waiting for a call for two days I placed a call to the company which was forwarded to the supervisor's voicemail which was not returned. After waiting several more days I called again, was placed on hold, the receptionist came back on the line and said the supervisor would call back in a few minutes. Over a day later the call hasn't been returned. Not intending for the tiles to be replaced I had hoped for a partial refund, certificate for future work or at least acknowledgement and an apology. So to start, let me say that the employees that I interacted with at Zerorez were professional and genuinely nice people. My issue is with what the service was advertised as and what was actually cleaned. On the website they tout the use of the whip line cleaning which is compressed air sent through the ductwork at high velocity vs the more traditional method of using a spinning brush attached to a large vacuum. When the tech arrived, I began to speak of the whip line and said that was the reason that I choose their service. The tech very kindly said " that system is actually broken at the moment" and he would be using the brush method instead. Even though I was put off at first, I felt that I would proceed and get it done since I had be having issues with allergies related to my pets. That was a mistake. I called back and asked for a refund, but spoke with one of the base managers and he convinced me to let them come back at give it another go to which I agreed. Again, that was a mistake as what was spoken about as for as what would take place upon the second visit was not fully taken care of. At that point I was frustrated and felt the manager who also came to help/train with the tech was dismissive of my situation and tried to imply that parts of the ductwork were cleaned that were not touched at all. I have included some video and pictures of my ductwork AFTER they supposedly cleaned the system and as you'll see it is not even close. This will cost you $370.00 and from what was discussed they don't even have a whip line system on a truck for the Columbia market. This is false advertising and there is no mention of it on the website so please be aware that is you are looking for ductwork cleaning, go to an HVAC specific company, not one that is primarily a carpet cleaning business. Don't ever use zerorez. I used zerorez a few years ago (October 2020) at our old house before selling the house. I cannot remember the specific date in October. I remember the appointment was set for early morning (about 9am or 10am-ish). I called multiple times throughout the day asking when they would arrive because they were late. I told them multiple times each call that I had to leave by 2:00pm to pick my kids up from school. They arrived 10 minutes before I had to leave. I called them to try to cancel and they said they could not refund my purchase since the technician showed up so I had to leave the technician in my house alone while I went to get my children. After I returned, it looked like all the technician did was spray the carpets with water and left it. None of the stains were removed and there weren't any "vacuuming" marks in the rugs. Additionally, you could run your hand across the carpet and water would splatter up from the carpet, like the water was simply sitting on top of the carpet. I was still forced to pay them. They had my credit card info on hand from when I reserved the original appointment. I called to complain about the service and the manager literally acted like it wasn't his problem and the only solution was to get the technician out to our house again to re-do the services...BUT I would have to pay them full price, a second time. I declined a "second" attempt. The next day i went and rented a carpet cleaning machine from the dollar store ($10) and cleaned the carpets myself and the carpets looked brand new. I left a "I would rate them negative stars if I could" review on multiple sites. Fastforward to a couple months ago (2023). I received a random call from zerorez, with a lady from zerorez begging me to change my first review of their services back in 2020 because "all the negative reviews on different sites were hurting their business." I declined to change my negative review because they did not provide the services they advertised AND because they had horrible customer service when I called to complain about their service in the first place. We hung up. 15 minutes later I received another random call from zerorez. This time is was a male claiming to be a new manager trying to "turn the business around." He also begged me to change my negative review. I declined again. He then asked, if he refunded the money from (2020) by sending me a check that I would at least "update" my negative review to say that they worked with me to resolve the issue. At that point I agreed to only "add" to the negative review saying that after 3 years they finally agreed to refund me the money because "new management was trying to do the right thing" as the guy on the phone claimed to be doing. At that point he asked for my new address, wrote out a check and envelope, took a picture of both and texted me a picture of both the check and envelope. I told him I would only update the review once I deposited the check into my bank account. Fastforward to today, still no check in the mail. I have attempted to reach out to him a few times requesting an update on the check with no response. At this point I am thinking the zerorez caller was just another scam trying to get me to change my negative review from 2020. I do not think they ever planned on actually sending me a refund at all. I believe they only wanted a picture of the envelope with my new address to have some sort of "evidence" that they supposedly sent me a refund. I never received any refund. And, because I never received the refund like the zerorez "new manager" promised I would receive I now want to change my "I would give them negative stars if I could" review to..... "Forget about the negative stars. I plan to turn every person away from this company if they ever ask me about their services. Do NOT use zerorez. Save yourself some time, money, and sanity and simply rent a $10 carpet cleaning machine from your local dollar store/dollar general and do the work yourself. You will 100% get better results from the $10 carpet cleaner and 15-20 minutes of your time, than you ever will from this so-called "professional" carpet cleaning company that cost an arm and a leg, and waists your entire day waiting for them to show up for a 9-10am appointment. read more

I was very excited to know that Zerorez used a special system without incorporating chemicals. However, the results were less than acceptable. Our carpet looked as though nothing was done. I really expected more from a professional. However, I will not give them another opportunity. Especially since the same technician came back out to fix what should have been done in the beginning, only to say he had done his best.
