We recently reached out to see about skunk removal. I asked for a ballpark price, which they said…read morethey couldn't provide until they did an on-site estimate. The on-site estimate was just under $100 for them to tell us it would be $7200 to seal everything up. While I understand that there's a cost to doing business, I fully believe that they could have easily told us it was $60/foot for trenching. Or given a ballpark advising that most jobs cost anywhere between 5000-7000. Instead we wasted $100 to hear that it was completely out of range. I cannot speak to the work they provide, as I'm sure they do a fine job; however, I wanted to make others aware of the general cost so they aren't blindsided with the enormous quote. We've recently found friends who have had theirs done for a fraction of the cost. There are also other companies that are willing to provide estimates for free. Overall disappointed with the lack of transparency.

As part of the deal to close the house we were buying three years ago, the previous homeowners…read morespent close to $5,000.00 to remediate a bat infestation in the attic. Three years later, and the attic is completely infested with bats. Skeddadle has a lifetime guarantee on their work, but is now claiming that only covers a small portion of the work that was done. We pointed out the invoice said that all openings had been sealed (they had not been), and the manager literally said he didn't know who wrote that, and seemed to insinuate that either us or the other homeowners had somehow written this in (this is obviously completely untrue). Irregardless of this, it is beyond comprehension that $5,000.00 could be spent to remediate a bat problem and that the issue would come back so quickly. Do not give this company your money.

We had raccoons under the overhang on our roof. They installed a one way gate (upside down at…read morefirst) but didn't take into account that the pebbles on our tar and gravel roof would keep the gate from closing securely. I had to explain to them that they needed to add small wooden spacers to allow the gravel to fall through between the gate and the roof and not block the gate. In all it took an extra month before they realized this and the raccoons were finally evicted. Plus I was charged for work (securing the soffits) that was not done and only when I pointed this out to them did they revise their invoice.

We heard an almighty clamour in our range hood on Good Friday morning. It sounded like a mixed…read morefamily of birds and squirrels had moved in and were throwing a housewarming party. Called Skedaddle and they agreed to send someone out that weekend - pretty impressive for Easter. Ollie from Skedaddle arrived with a workmate, sporting N95 masks and taking full COVID-19 precautions (which I guess are also required when dealing with wildlife too). Payment was also contactless and over the phone. The Skedaddle team removed the nest, disinfected the vent work and put a custom-made screen in place (made-to-measure in their truck). We also noticed a few other vents in need of love and Ollie kindly agreed to take care of those too. Ollie's calm, professional and explanatory approach to our problem greatly reassured my partner, who was freaking out a bit at the thought of our unwanted guests settling in. All things considered, using Skedaddle was a smooth and pleasant experience and we would recommend them to anyone with unwelcome critters trying to move in!

AVOID! Unprofessional, very poor customer service. I emailed several times, got a reply asking what…read moremy address was. I replied, but had to wait for another 3 days to get the next sentence from him in email: "We will pass by to assess". I replied "OK when?" No reply whatsoever from them. I used 2 different phone numbers listed on their web site - one doesn't even have answering machine service set up. On the other I left 3 different messages on, but no one called me back. When he finally answered the phone on day 5, I was told "You have to be patient" and "Someone will email you to set up an appointment". No one did. Exactly 11 days passed from my initial reaching out to them multiple times and by multiple means (through two different phone numbers of theirs, messaging feature on their site, and email), yet they still don't want to bother to contact me back and make an appointment. (Not to tell me useless things like "we'll pass by" and then never do, or "you have to be patient"; I need serious professionals to deal with the issue and to set up a real time and day appointment for me). Avoid this company and save yourself from stress and waste of time. Look for a for a wildlife company that actually values you as a customer.
