Poor service last time we tried and couldn't even get anyone to seat us. Won't make that mistake again.

I was in tech school for Air Force at the time. This became a regular haunt of mine. Lunch and dinner on the weekend were excellent vibes. They're beer selection was only bested by the quality of they're food. I smoked many a cigarette on they're patio area, drunk and happy. Top notch! I enjoyed this place greatly! My wife and I shared the white queso and the sweet green curry duck wings as an appetizer. Queso wasn't my favorite, but was good. The duck wings were surprising to see on the menu, but as a duck hunter, I'm IN! They were delicious and tender. My wife had a sandwich with turkey, avocado, and brie. It was tasty and met her healthy standard. I had the blanket burger which met my health standard! It was amazing. A grilled layer of cheddar that was blanketed over THE BEST BURGER IN SAN ANGELO. The sweet potato fries were mouth-watering and I got some house whip cream with cinnamon and honey to tip the scales! The atmosphere was loud, but bearable and the beer was tasty! A big disappointment. Despite the great reviews on Yelp, my friends and I found this place not very impressive. I came with a group of 10+ people; the service was slow and the food came out mildly warm. Despite the $$ prices, the food came out mediocre. Personally, I ordered the House Brew Burger and was not positively impressed. The best thing on my plate were the sweet potato fries sadly. The buns were doughy, dry, and tasteless. The pork belly came out flabby and not crisp; the flabby fatty parts came out hard to chew and did not melt in my mouth. Moreover, the beef patty came out overly well done and dry. What looked like a good order based on online reviews and the menu description turned out to be a marginal burger at best. Lastly, the sweet tea was not sweet at all and tasted watered down. We stopped in to Zero One Ale House last night for a quick dinner. The hostess was quick to seat us. Our waiter was attentive and efficient with a positive attitude all night. We ordered the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer. The nachos were very tasty. It is large enough for the entire table as an appetizer. It absolutely could be a meal as well. We also order d the Southwest Chicken sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. Also a very good portion. Also very good. I would recommend this restaurant. Great dinner. One of my favorite places to eat and hangout in San Angelo. Doesn't take long to get your food served to you. Reasonably priced for great food and really friendly staff. They brew their own beers in house, recommend the Mother Earth IPA for a drink. The Brew House burger is honestly the best thing on the menu (get ready for a food coma afterwards). I stopped in for a quick bite to eat and had a great experience here. I ordered the chicken salad salad and it was delicious. The chicken salad is stuffed in half of an avocado and rests on top of a bed of mixed greens and strawberries. It comes with balsamic vinaigrette, which I had on the side but I ended up trying the honey mustard dressing and it was delicious (both were good I just love honey mustard). The salad doesn't really need dressing though because of the chicken salad. The chicken salad tasted fresh and had just the right amount of mayonnaise on it, not TOO much. Service was good, we were a large group on a Friday night so the hour it took us to get our food was understandable considering how busy they were. House Ceasar Salad: good mix of dressing and lettuce (though not romaine) and little light on the parm, this salad had a good but not great flavor...and while not too tart, seemed almost as if it was slightly dumbed down. Overall, a really good salad and very well balanced dressing. Balance was the key in this dressing's flavor, which seems to be a high-functioning trend for the restaurant. I went on a date here and the food was really awesome. The burger was cooked to medium well and the fries were nice and crispy. I would also recommend getting the BBQ nachos for an appetizer. It was 2 dollars off with a special they had going on. The specialty cocktails were strong but good. I had the raspberry refresher which had vodka and he had the blueberry mule. Not my taste bc it had bourbon but he said he liked it. The burger was 10 dollars plus an added 50 cents with the egg. Not too expensive but the price will add up when you add alcoholic drinks to your meal. All in all, it was a great place and I'd recommend it to anyone. read more

Very pleasantly surprised! Quick seating for a Saturday evening. Barbara (our waitress) was super helpful and very prompt. Atmosphere was spot on and very comfortable. A little loud, but not so loud you can't hold a conversation, I mean, you're in a restaurant/bar type setting, it should be expected. The beer selection was outstanding. The Bohemian Summer Kolsch was very refreshing. The food was hot and perfectly flavored according to the descriptions in the menu. From the appetizers to the main dishes, everyone in our party of seven was very happy with the quality and flavor of their food. Not to mention they removed a few items from the menu I liked (or LOVED if you remember the bread pudding!) AND the portion sizes have decreased by about 40-50%. Cute restaurant, excellent music, odd choice on one of the multiple tvs - typical football, etc., but one was tuned to a makeup infomercial. Can't explain that... Service was pretty good - attentive, friendly, orders delivered correctly. A bit slower than I would have anticipated for a Monday at 1:30. We ordered the ancho chili chicken tacos (3). They were served in corn tortillas with side of black beans and rice. Tacos were covered with white, creamy sauce. Nothing was very flavorful - and the disappointment with the sauce all over the tacos was exacerbated when even that didn't have any flavor. Also ordered Banh Mi which typically has 50% meat and 50% pickled vegetables. Frankly, I always consider the vegetables to be the highlight and the meat to be an aside but this was simply a pulled pork sandwich with three slivers of pickled carrot and two slivers of cucumber. The pulled pork was really good but if you are coming here, stick with the pork-based dishes that are designed to be served like bbq'd pork. Nothing inspired but I didn't starve. read more
