VR = Very Rad! Especially so when it's the world's most advanced Free Roam Virtual Reality experience at the aptly named Zero Latency! Having only heard of VR till date and never having tried it, I was really excited to give this a shot with my Elite squad. Parking at Kingsgate Mall was a breeze, and Zero Latency was right at the entrance of the complex. Even though I was a bit late in joining, Game Master James and Carlin were very patient and kind, and quickly took me through the process and provided the relevant instructions. Fully geared up with a vest, 4k headset, gun and what not, I soon joined my crew of Black Ops specialists aboard a secret military space station ready to take on rogue drones and bots! Singularity, ahoy! For the next half an hour, our crew of eight was transported to a space station where we worked together to destroy the killer A. I. before it eliminated us. The graphics were amazing, the movements realistic and trippy, the feedback instantaneous when getting close to a teammate or a wall, and best was the fun in the team work, coordinating and joking with one another over the mic while we slayed our intergalactic foe! Oh yeah, mission accomplished! To say that the experience was immersive and cathartic (blasting evil to smithereens FTW!) would be an understatement. Not since my college days over a decade ago when I used to play soccer/ Quake3/ Counter Strike have I had so much fun in a team activity! I was left sweating profusely with a racing heart, a big smile and a desire for more action at the end of this intense workout! Hey, it's no joke to cover 200m on a claustrophobic spaceship when carrying a heavy gun and armor while wearing warm winter clothes under a spacesuit! *panting* Game Master James ensured a smooth transition of the team back to planet earth as he debriefed us while neatly stowing away our gear. Getting to see our team score on the screen was cool, as was receiving it in the email that we had entered when signing the waiver at the start of the event. The folks at Zero Latency clicked some really cool pictures and videos of our group as we fought our way through the sci-fi thriller, and after we survived the ordeal! Thank you to the Zero Latency team and my squad for this rejuvenating and thrilling experience that doubled as a fantastic birthday present for me. Can't wait to be back here to escape even if briefly from the real world into this alternate reality. For now, opening a can of chilled beer to cool off and celebrate the win!

This was my second time going here :) The staff are always so fun and friendly, they really add to the experience. They also make sure to make you feel comfortable before starting and are more than happy to guide you through everything no matter how many questions you have. They have VR escape rooms as well as VR games, both are super fun but I'm personally a fan on their escape rooms because it is so different that your usual escape rooms that you see. The first time I went there we tried their Chernobyl escape room, it was a 3/5 star difficulty but we managed to escape 2mins before the hour!! It was so much fun, their VR technology is very impressive. When I went this time, I tried their Sanctum escape room which was very eery for me (I'm also easily scared so this might not be the experience for everyone). There were no jump scares in this one but it was based on a cult so it gave me the heebie jeebies! This was also a 3 star difficulty level but this time we managed to escape 15mins before :) since we had 15mins remaining, the staff let us play VR dodge ball to kill some time which I truly appreciated!! They are honestly soo nice! Their waiting room also has some arcade games that you can play to pass time. I can't wait to back a third time and try some of their other escape rooms!

They have lots of VR gaming options and as just my son and I, we narrowed it down to Arizona Sunshine and Propagation, both zombie apocalypse games. We opted for Arizona Sunshine. A little bit of a learning curve on the reloading but we both sorted it out. Checking vehicles for extra ammo is a must to be successful to get to the next level. And love that they can track your game progress so when you return, you can start off where you ended the last session. It was so much fun and the staff were so helpful. It was a positive VR gaming experience and happy to recommend Evolve VR.

There is a lot of gear to put on, and since it's 30 minutes from the time you enter the room, all 4-5 staff members come in to help to get stuff on quickly. The fan effects were cool and the kids were really immersed in the experience. Will be back! Suggestions - start the 30 minutes from the time the game starts rather than when we enter the room and have to get all the gear on. The kids wanted more time. We arrived early but the overall game experience was probably 20 minutes. - Try to put other groups in farther away rooms if possible. We can hear the screams from next door.

We got sensors on our left and right wrists, and ankles. For those that had glasses, we had to were the googles over our glasses which we were advised could interfere with some of the sensors in the eyes but overall, they were fine. Although we put them in place at the outset, all those with glasses all agreed that the googles still moved regardless of how tight we had them. Overall though, the googles didn't interfere too much with the game. For those familiar with Squid Game, it followed a similar pattern where we played group games to win individual points. It was a really fun theme, especially for those of us that don't like zombie pop ups. Lots of feet and hand movements. We really appreciated that right after the game is over, they led us to the back to show us three clips about our experience. The clip was also emailed directly to us right away. A really fun activity with a group. Would definitely do this again, and... perhaps won't be so nice with sharing info about certain aspects. Every man for themselves right?

They open as early as 9:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 11:30 a.m. the rest of the week, so you can kickstart the fun right away. The layout here is brilliant: you can enjoy the mini-golf in the basement, catch your favorite sports games on a massive screen at the first-floor sports bar, or head up to the second floor for an absolute playground of pool tables, arcades, VR games, and QBIX. Personally, my absolute favorites are Super Mario Car Racing, Motorbike Racing, and VR Godzilla. The setup is highly rewarding, though it totally tempts you to buy more credits than you actually need- especially since the more you buy, the more bonus credits you rack up. Plus, you can trade your game points for merchandise, ranging from cute mini keychains all the way up to a Nintendo Switch. If you get hungry from all the gaming, they've got you covered. Enjoy 'Appy Hour daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or hit up a Late Night Menu from 11p.m. to close, Thursday through Saturday, for good discounts on appetizers and drinks.

Well, you basically found it. Okay, the tickets are digital now, because let's save trees, but as you throw that ball, or drop that coin, or use that impossible claw-grabber, you are earning you way to some random prize, because you need goals in life. Yes, lots of games, that reward you, or "reward" you... points may vary, even if you are skilled. That's the top floor, because you need to believe that indeed it's elevated. Middle floor, the one you come in from, is the counter to buy your game card/wrist band/NFC thing... and the restaurant, which to be honest, isn't half bad. It's not fine dining, so don't expect that here.. at an ADULT ARCADE... but the burgers are solid, the Nachos are overloaded, and salads.. eer... why would you get a salad? oh right, health... perrfff. yeah, no.. say yes to meat please? Downstairs, where it's quieter, you can get a beer, and tee up the 9 hole mini-golf. it starts simple, which makes you feel like you are half-decent, but as you go along, it gets harder, and more... hard. Which is okay, because life should hard, like the side of a golf ball, dimpled and knocked around, with scars of where you have been, and where you are going. There is a story... which is on a roll... see what I did? okay, nevermind, but really, it's a solid mini-golf. Overall, it's a good place to hang out with friends, enjoy a little gaming, and well, relax. It's in the middle of town, so parking is a nightmare, but again, it's cool.
