I made a note of his company's name and then managed to lose it. Fast forward to the present, when my wife and I decided we finally needed to repair or replace our beautiful berber carpet that had just gotten too worn and stained. I started to look for the man, reading websites for signs of the same knowledge and commitment. I found a website that sounded like him and it turned out to be the right man, Michael Dempsey of Expert Carpet and Floor Repairs of Covington, Dawsonville and Norcross. He repairs and installs carpets with his two sons, and they are just the finest people you can imagine. He advised me not to replace the berber with the same type, because another "closed-loop" type was much more tear and stain resistant. I've used Home Depot and a couple of other larger outfits in the past, and comparing Mr. Dempsey's estimate to a similar grade from Home Depot, his quoted price was about $500 more. I accepted his offer because he again impressed me with his commitment to provide the best service and installation experience possible. With Home Depot installers, you're never quite sure what you'll get, and this was a big job in our home, so I wanted it done right. Mr. Dempsey and his sons did a fantastic job. They were very meticulous in cleaning the slab even before laying the padding. I've never seen another installer do that, but Mr. Dempsey explained why it matters. They also were just wonderful about moving the big furniture and doing so with the utmost care. My wife has an office with a huge wooden desk. I assembled myself in place and wasn't sure we could get it out without taking it apart again. Mr. Dempsey's sons handled it easily and without the slightest scratch. I'm always glad to give 5 stars when it's deserved. The job Mr. Dempsey and his sons did deserves 10 stars on the scale of 5.

He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. Included (for a fee) in the quote was assistance putting furniture back in the room which was helpful. I'd contact Antoine again for future flooring needs.

We agreed to the price and he started his job. We have a big house over 4,000 square feet, so we thought this would take him the whole day. He started at 9:30 and was done by 12:30. Both me and my mom were confused and thought how could he be done so quickly. He tried showing us pictures on his phone of before and after, and to be honest we didn't notice much of a difference. I didn't take before pictures but I've attached the after pictures. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it's because it's still wet and we should wait till it dries to see a difference. No the carpet looked exactly the same. This was disappointing and I would never use this company again. Also not to mention he was being incredibly rude to my mother and talking down to her.
