She talks over you and acts like she knows what you are going to say. Questioned her about a missing scrip and she insists that it was called in to pharmacy. I knew it was not called in because I read the doctor notes . I left when to pharmacy and sure enough wrong script was called in I called her back and still would not let me tell her what the problem was she just kept repeating prescription was called in Finally I told to her let me talk. There was a prescription called in yes but not the one I needed !! It happened more then once so I was trying my hardest to let it go but I figured enough is enough so I wrote this review.

My spouse who has been seen here for years continued to see him as she doesn't like change. What drove us to the 1 star review is their total lack of caring and more concern for the money. This practice like others, called her a couple days prior to confirm her appointment. She explained she was in a walking boot with a bad ankle sprain unable to drive and had to cancel. Now the worst part, they charged her for missing her appointment, even though it was confirmed and she shared proof on her phone showing the day and time of call. We took a screen shot and sent over. They even checked with Dr Clough and he confirmed they would charge. Us being principled people, we refused to pay and my wife having several medical issues had to find another doctor. Clough's office also wouldn't share her complete records. Again there are doctors that truly care and there are those like Dr Clough that care about money and less about patients and principal

The staff did a good job for my regular checkup last year, but this year they messed up some…read morethings. I needed to have a form filled out for nursing school, and after a month of five visits, they filled out only half of the form. The front desk scheduled my first appointment for a day when I could not have a test done. The doctor and physician's assistant did not seem to closely read my form, and I had to keep reminding them of what needed to be filled out. I ended up going out of network and paying out of my own pocket to get the remaining tests completed. I will not return to this doctor again.

This also is the first UPMC practice that I visited where I felt like I was a valued patient--the appointment was on-time, the staff was polite and attentive, and the facilities were very clean. The nurses were very kind and made sure to get complete information. I liked them a lot. One of the nurses--Marianne--immediately noticed that I needed a vaccination booster. Apparently, I'd needed it for years and no other medical professional has noticed this. Kudos. Dr. Reasbeck is a gem. Very thorough and funny and professional. He thoughtfully answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed. They really don't make 'em like this anymore. Come a bit early for your appointment. Since this is in the Heinz building, you have to sign in with security and get a visitor's badge to swipe through to the elevators. It only took a couple minutes, but I went after "rush hour." I imagine there would be a longer line if you had an early or late appointment.

Finally, they handed the sign-in sheet to me, and I filled it out, but then they did not bother to use it or look at my name on it. Anyway, I had a morning appointment, and I did not have to wait long to be called back to Dr. Mackey's office. I first saw her medical assistant, who took my weight and vital signs and asked me some questions. He had a pleasant personality. Several minutes later, Dr. Mackey entered the room. She made conversation with me to get to know me. Although I am slender and healthy, she talked with me about the importance of physical activity, which I think is important for all physicians to discuss with all patients. She performed a thorough physical assessment. (I am a nurse, and I approve of her assessment skills.) I asked her if she would order any lab tests for me, considering that my last lab work was done five years ago, and she ordered the tests for me.

But this time I really felt like she listened to what I had to say. Things I was worried about, etc. I enjoyed that she shared some personal info with me, it made her seem a little more human and less white coat-y. I will admit, I'm still always listening for other people to say how much they like their doctor in hopes that one day maybe I'll find someone who really cares.
