When I phoned him a while later, Mr. Hancock gave me a quote for the work which I found reasonable. We set a date in April to have him do the work. I sent him a message to confirm/remind him. He did not show up on the appointed day. When I talked with him, he said he could come the next day, but late. So, we set another day, the following Monday. I sent him a message on that occasion to remind/confirm our new appointment. Again, he did not show up. He didn't answer his phone or respond to the two voice messages I left. This firm is unreliable. I'd suggest not doing business with him.

I have a year's warranty on the fence and the contracted told me if I had any problems give them a call within the year. A few months went by, and I noticed that the boards had shifted, and it was hard for me to open my gate. I gave them a call, and the call didn't go through. I tried several times with no luck. After about a month someone finally answered the phone, and he came out the next day. He said it wasn't a problem; he could fix it without a big deal. I waited and waited for them to show up without any luck, I am still waiting. Every time I talk to him, he gives me a run around; I get the idea he has no intention of repairing my fence. He didn't pressure me to do anything I didn't want to do. Their workmanship was skilled and fast. We did run into one problem with sump pump drainage being in the way. Ben did this extra work to reroute plumbing for the cost of parts, but didn't charge for the extra labor. Ben over engineered the new decks including 6" X 6" posts instead of 4" X 4" posts. Ben also recommended some design changes to my plans, making the limited space more useful and better ascetics. I highly recommend hiring Almagre for your next backyard project.

We had a towing emergency when the rear leaf spring broke in half on our 16' cargo trailer. The…read moretrailer was towed to Speken Iron and Metal in Pueblo Colorado late in the afternoon. The owner of the company looked at our problem and was able to arrange the repair that same afternoon even though they already had a full schedule. They had a new leaf spring for our trailer in their inventory and were able to have it installed on the trailer within an hour. Speken Iron and Metal specializes in trailer repair and their work and professionalism show it. This company could have really taken advantage of our situation because we had to get the repair done in order to get back on the road. The cost for the repair including the new leaf spring was very reasonable and fair. We were treated like we were a long time customer. Even though I live about 180 miles away in Eastern Colorado, I will be taking all of my trailers to Speken Iron and Metal for repairs and maintenance. These guys are the guys to call when you need anything taken care of with your trailer. Thank you
