Tried it twice during Covid; not a good fit for us. One time the pizza smelled not-so-great but tasted okay. The other we didn't care for the toppings, the vegan sausage in particular. They offer curtsied pick-up, but there are three different sets of hours listed on the website, so you may have to call in order to figure out what time they open on a given day. I hope that lots of Londoners are supporting this local place during these challenging times, but Madre is more to our liking. read more

It's a great pizza spot downtown by Covent Garden Market, Budweiser Gardens, and on the ground floor of the Renaissance building. They do super thin, crispy crusts and have a lot of vegan options! Fantastic! Best thin crust pizza in London, hands down! My favourite is the Balsamic Marinated Mushroom 'Za, with added fresh Prosciutto. My husband loves the Renaissance 'Za. The Margarita Pizza can't be beat and the salads are fantastic as well. We've not eaten in the restaurant but when picking up there always a friendly buzz. Since the pandemic, zen'Za has had window service for pickup. The protocols for safety are in place and followed. There's a convenient pull-up space curbside for pick-ups. read more

I got the delivery service, so I can not review the atmosphere of the restaurant. I delivered Renaissance pizza, it was really awesome. It was thin and crispy. Delivery was fast, so it was hot when I ate. Sweet potato, tomato, and all the ingredient were fresh. I became a huge fan of this pizzeria. If I do need to write some cons, hmm. Yesterday was my boyfriend's birthday, and A Taste for Life event benefiting those living with AIDS/HIV, and when you go 25% of your bill goes towards this foundation; which I think is amazing. In celebration of his birthday, we decided to come here for both these reasons and because I had yet to find a really great pizza in London; they've all been good, but not my favourite, and being from Windsor, I do hold pizza to a higher standards in my books; this place, their pizza - phenomenal!!! Majority of their ingredients are locally sourced from around London and area, benefiting those local businesses as well as creating a delicious pizza! I had ordered the Balsamic Marinated Mushroom Pizza, and my boyfriend ordered the Magnum P.i. . As I was reading the menu, my eyes immediately read goat cheese and it was settled; as for the Magnum P.I., he loved it, and I am not one for pineapple on my pizza (a huge debate in the pizza world) he loved the thin crust, was crispy, not overcooked and just made the pizza that much better. For dessert, they had a chocolate pizza with vegan nutella, cookie crumble and organic banana as well as a gluten free carrot cake; both of which were not overly sweet and very enjoyable. On tap they have Anderson's Ale, which my boyfriend is a huge fan of, and he definitely enjoyed his IPA. The owners of this restaurant are the nicest people, so incredibly dedicated to serving this area, and making one of the best thin crusts I've ever had. So much, that I bragged to my mom who lives in Windsor and wants to here when she comes to visit, which will be happening. Influenced by the many good reviews, we decided to try this Pizzeria for their three frozen pizzas for $36 option. You have to order by Tuesday for pick up on Friday and this we did, choosing the mushroom balsamic with goat cheese pizza. It was simply awful, soggy, largely tasteless, minimal goat cheese and with such thinly sliced mushrooms that you could barely taste them. Evidently, in a time when covid and the road works on King Street have meant no in restaurant or patio custom, this three frozen pizza option seems to be a cash grab which so far as we are concerned results in us never patronizing this establishment again. read more

You know, London is pretty blessed when it comes to great pizza but I think Rico's may just have jumped to the very top of my list! SO GOOD! I mean, they have free wifi, an awesome location across from Budweiser Gardens,and well ... that's just the start! The best part? Their suppliers are almost all local: Arva Flour Mills, Fieldgate Meats, Smiths Cheese and a variety of farmers in the area. And they even have vegan and gluten free options. Crazy right? Even their beer was all local craft - Flying Monkeys and Anserson Ales as of my visit last night. There entire staff including servers, cooks, dishwashers, book keepers, owners, cleaners .. etc - a total of two. And they're both really awesome! I had the new "I Love The Knight Life" pizza and my dad had the "Market Sausage" pizza - something like that anyways. Both were gourmet, thin crust, topped with fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious. They were both washed down with the aforemetnioned local craft beers which I would certainly recommend to others. Rico's is really more of a 'hub', as opposed to a pub. A hub in this case meaning a place to come and share great food, great company, great vibes and an atmosphere that inspires and supports all of the above. My husband and I had lunch here a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I got the Hawaiian style pizza with Caesar salad and he got the Renaissance one with their daily soup with was potato - everything was vegan. The Caesar salad was great - dressing was more on the vinaigrette side vs creamy but I prefer that and hit the spot for my Caesar salad craving. The Hawaiian style pizza was pretty good too - nice crispy thin crust and good flavours. The fresh pineapple was delicious. Wasn't crazy about the vegan sausage. Also, my husband's pizza was a different style but essentially tasted exactly the same, maybe because they were vegan. My husband's soup was bland though, but piping hot which I liked. I'm a pizza guy. I've had pizza at some of the most famous and well known places in Chicago, New York, and Toronto in addition to every little stop in my travels along the way. I can say hands down zen'Za Pizzeria is my all time favourite pizza place. Jocelyn and Wayne work hard every morning preparing all the ingredients from scratch. The food they serve is absolutely top notch, I can't recommend this place enough. The atmosphere if you're a dine-in customer really sets this place apart from ANY restaurant in town: no matter how busy they are, you can count on Jocelyn to come over and say hi as well making sure everything is to your liking. You won't have a better pizza experience in your life than the Renaissance 'za (my personal favourite, but if you're in the mood for vegetarian the garlic soaked mushroom pizza is a close second in my books).
